    Thank you so much for this video! You saved me from paying almost $200 for repairs at a local shop that didn't even know if they could fix my computer. Once my new screen and kit arrived it took me less than an hour to replace the screen. It probably would've taken a day or more if I took it to the shop. Again, thank you!!!! My new screen looks even prettier than my original!

    Problem solved. Thank you for this step by step video. The only difficulty I had was getting the bottom part PVC the bezel re-attached.

    Bro, Today dell technician changed my laptop display screen. But the brightness is not as before. Brightness is less in this. Is it common or the screen is fake?

    Do you know where I could find the specific number of the screen other than on the back of it since I am trying to buy a controller board and don’t want to tear the whole thing down.

    Is the lcd cable in there? Was it what you unplugged from the screen?

    So I've been researching about this kind of stuff because my GL552VW came with a TN panel mounted (even if the site I bought it at stated it was IPS) and I was looking to change it myself manually.
    So my question is, ¿Will an IPS screen work fine if the original that came is TN? ¿Is the one you guys sell IPS?
    Thanks in advance for the answer.

      Heh, I'm contemplating doing that the exact same thing! The viewing angles and contrast are horrible. Everything's too washed out and I can barely move my face relative to the screen.

    I just did change the LCD panel ... I fiddled a lot trying to reconnect the 30-pin and might have bended a pin since the New AND the Old Cracked LCD now display ... Nothing ... From experience is it possible that I pulled the screen a little too much forward and loosened/disconnected a connector on the On-Board side of the EDP cable ? Or since it took more force to pull the conector out that I expected that I damaged the Cable Connector ?
    the GL753VE is workin properly with External Monitor and both the Intel 630 and GE FORCE 1050 TI seem to work fine according to Task manager Performance graphics ... Also I did operate with the battery on since on the GL753 disconnecting the battery need extensive disaassembly ... A major disgn flaw IMO for an otherwise rather good Laptop ... The power button also is badly as a the upper right kwy over the numeric keypad... protruding instead of flush with the body like on Thinkpad and Lenovo ... So you can EASILY accidentally press it while putting the screen falt on the keyboard ...
    And THANKS for a great How-To video ... 2 Hinge Covers, 6 screws , a bezel and a 30-pin connector is indeed a very simple job ...

    You only really need a PH#0 and a guitar pick to act as a spudger. No unsightly scratches this way, I don't think the clips were held with adhesive on hers, or something.

    This is so stupid, you're ruining the case scratching it up with a sharp knife. Sharpen the edge of an old credit card and use that, or some kind of thin plastic.

    • @ScreenSurgeons
      @ScreenSurgeons  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      A C usually plastic tools aren't strong enough and thin enough to open up the bezel, so that's why we use metal tools. It's a trade off.
