Most of Sinn's catalogue is made of watches that are perfectly suited for everyday use. My pick is the 856 UTC for the additional time zone, WR, magnetic resistance, date, and easily serviceable Sellita 330-1. I also find the "form follows function" design is very appealing.

Really want to get the 556i rs, I planned to get it a while back and the price has crept up since then. It's also basically impossible to try one on before you buy it though (living in the states it's not in any watch stores)

Tom picked Nomos and won the game. I own several with 100 or 200m WR. They put tough watches in elegant packages. Not often remarked upon is their attention to regulation/adjustment. All mine run within a few seconds a day and can gain or lose depending how you lay them down at night. Tremendous value. I'd nominate any of the Seiko Alpinist range (there are many) as great everyday watches.

My job is dirty and hard, so my daily watch is a plastic Casio not worth more than 20 bucks. But when going out, I like to wear all my watches with a slight preference on my Paul Picot Yachtman III. It gets almost the same amount of wrist time as my Panerai that for a long time it had been my only one. But now a new baby had arrived: a Seiko Orange Monster... I can not understand why I love it so much... it's on my wrist right now, and I can't stop staring at it... really a cool, rugged, and "toolish" watch, still somehow elegant being heavily sporty. It's a real bang for bucks, in my opinion.

The watch that has been spending an awful lot of time on my wrist is the Longines Bigeye Titanium. It's been really accurate (around a second per day slow), and does not pick up scratches easily, unlike regular 316L steel. The date window blends in so well I have not found it yet 😄 The 'big eye' is also easier to read than some chronographs that shall remain nameless but have been to the moon I hear.

It's hard to argue with the Nomos and Omega selections. Both of those are great, at reasonable price points for what you're getting. Here are five others:
Timex Navi XL - if you're looking to save your pennies
Tissot PRX - very cool and one of the best values around, I think
Shinola Monster or Runwell (depending on your sense of style) - solid value and attractive
Oris Big Crown Pro Pilot - simple, well executed elegant all-rounder
Sinn U1/U50 (depending on your wrist size) - both very cool Teutonic badasses

    Tom.
The Citizen "Chronomaster". High accuracy quartz (often better accuracy than GS) Eco-drive watches with a perpetual calendar, and zaratsu polishing. Truly a watch you can set and forget, but you won't forget, 'cause it will be on your wrist.
    (Movements: A010 and A060.)
If you don't care about the date window and you've got more money than I do, you could buy a The Citizen with a 0100 movement, accurate to ±1 second per year.

So many good watches out there!
My personal pick was gifted to me by my wife, my Seiko Alpinist SPB243 with a brownish-grey sunburst and cream lum...the hands and markers look amazing and classic. Looks much better in person than the picture shows. 38mm sapphire crystal 70hr power reserve, 200m WR. Labelled one of those "GADA" watches and I quite like for a fairly modest budget. She picked it up for discount for Christmas.
After seeing the Hamilton come in for about 50 dollars more, maybe a better buy but doesn't class up as a dress watch as well as this.

I currently own a quartz Omega Aqua Terra “Floor Board” watch and (thanks to you) a Grand Seiko SBGV245. These take up about 90% of my daily wear tasks. The Omega is great for more formal/dressy days; the GS is for more sporty days. I don’t like it’s standard strap though so I’ve paired it with a few ones I’ve made myself.
If I need a real beater, I have my GShock. For full formal events I have a vintage, gold Girard Perregaux. Collection sorted?

oh dear.... my every day watch from my collection of around 40 watches (I am not a watch collector by the way) is a Casio G Shock, one of several that when I turn my wrist it automatically illuminates. I own 2 Seiko but I cant tell the time at night. I was thinking about buying a talking watch but cant find a good looking one yet.
The Swatch looks good but also looks like it's worth about £75.
The Seiko looks good as I get out of my old Jaguar but I never found a watch to suit the Bentley, however the Casio felt comfortable in the Arnage but a Rolex would have been totally unsuitable.
The watch that accompanied me the most in my Bentley was a £9.99 watch from Tesco with Slazenger emblazoned across the top of the face. Unfortunately I smashed the plastic watch 'glass' by which time it was no longer made! Life can be a real bitch sometimes.

I bought my son a Max Bill Quartz - he did not want the weight of a mechanical watch. The second hand clicks did not align with anything; in fact the misalignment varied depending where the second hand was on the (mis-printed?) dial. I raised this with the German watch-shop and again with Junghans directly. Apparently it's almost impossible to get the second-hand alignment at 450 EURO price level.!! My advice. Buy a Citizen or Seiko - they can achieve the alignment for a fraction of the price of a Min Bill

    Tissot PRX automatic

My everyday watches are a longines conquest automatic 39mm with black dial and a gold Tissot PRX quartz 35mm. I’m liking my watches small lately, even if I wear some 43 oris aquis and such

It's not exactly an everyday watch but I wear my Orient SuperKing diver pretty much anywhere. It's no masterpiece of luxury, and only offers the bare minimum functions, but gets tons of compliments. For $175 it's really hard to beat in terms of style.

One of the very best value-for-money everyday watches is the Christopher Ward Dune C65.

It depends what your job is for an everyday wear.
I do manual work (electrician) so I would wear either my PRX (green) or my Hamilton Karki field (white face on nato)
When not, a toss up between my Globemaster or BB 58.
Would love the JLC though, or the Nomos.

Loved the Jaeger. But, there are so many awesome everyday watches.
Here is mine, for work related reasons I need both a tachymeter and a telemetre that have second accuracy, I sport the Dreyfuss 1953 Telemetre Chronometer Quartz.
Before anyone giggles, there was ever 8 of them made prior to Rotary discontinuing the brand, making it one of the rarest watches on the planet.
It is absolutely built like a tank. For reference, it survived me having a volcano explode under my arse. Not even a G-schock sports that pedigree.
Now, here is a contest in two parts:
    1. What do I work with?
    2. Why is it a must that I have both tachy and tele-complications on my watch?

Ich gehe mit der Grand Seiko Quarz. Unschlagbare Qualität für den Preis. Zweite würde die Nomos sein. Ebenfalls eine sehr gute Uhr für den Preis und natürlich ebenfalls absolut alltagstauglich.

I would say Tom picked the most realistic price wise for me. Andrew's tastes a bit too rich. lol. As a Gas Engineer i would prefer the Zenith Safari to wear at work. Quite rugged which suits my daily work activitys!!!
