Boy things have changed from the way we were raised. We stuck to our plans no matter rain, soaked and sleeping in a car overnight. My parents would never turn around and go home in the middle of the night. Well, once. My mom forgot my brothers heart medicine. My poor dad had to drive 4 hours each way and I went with him and helped him stay awake on long drive. I don't know why but I have never been able to sleep in a moving vehicle. Gotta toughen up kids now a day and teach them how to function without electronics. The art to loving the wild and wildlife.
I feel bad for you. You have a terrible perspective on life. I will never be a jerk to my kids just to " toughen them up" you can teach kids so much more with love.

I don't think we will. We haven't really needed to other than little hiccups like this. Typically, our phones work well.
