The Bronx guide en Espanol! • Otros 8 Lugares Que No...
This is part two of my Bronx guide and if you enjoy it please give this video a “like” and subscribe so I know to make more videos about New York’s most underestimated borough.
Most people will never make it to the Bronx (except, perhaps, to attend a baseball game at Yankee Stadium). That’s a shame because this overlooked borough has serious cultural clout and a strong sense of community. Adventure awaits you here from rivers to mansions to the homes of infamous godfathers and to where rap music was born. Its role in the American Revolution has paved the way for the thought makers of today in street art, music, and fashion. The Bronx is special and that’s why I’m happy to share 8 more places you cannot miss in the Bronx.

Exactly...The Bronx! Man, for the most part the Bronx is dirty. The roads are bumpby with potholes, orange barrels line the streets and have been lining the streets and the freeway under passes for 40, yes 40 or more years. No place to park, residents in my opinion get the short end if the stick, yet they are loyal to the Bronx and deserve better. No wonder you're spotlighting art work and bodegas cus you know you bet not walk the streets under where the homeless people take cover by the GWB and by Tremont, Webster and all up in there where residents deserve cleanliness. Not to mention the South Bronx and how dirty and drab Orchard Beach looks. Omg, gurl Bye!

@@beverlybmwwilkerson5923 I’ve lived in The Bronx my entire life as well as been to almost every neighborhood in NYC at least twice. Every borough has their good and bad areas. What you speak of, unfortunately, represents only a portion of what The Bronx is like. Videos like this are necessary because of the narrow and negative narrative people like you constantly share about what the entire borough is like. There is a lot of beauty here and it’s nice to have that represented.

I would like to say thank you so very much for broadcasting the Bronx, my hometown, the way it should be. People always tell me how boring the Bronx is but I always say, "There is no such thing as a boring place. There is however lazy people who don't know how to find things to do". I appreciate you and one of the many TH-camrs who truly can make any place be enjoyable. Thank you 😭😭😭 I must check these places out once again since I am still in the Bronx.
Edit: Only a few places I never knew existed but I really am excited to check out. Many people don't know about Edgar Allen Poe's Cottage, Pelham Bay Park being the biggest park in NYC [not Central Park], and Wave Hill Public Garden. There are islands there close to the Bronx too like North Brothers Island but some you may not access. Oh and you can't forget City Island [which to me has amazing seafood 😋].

You can't go into the NYBG through that waterfall. That (man-made) waterfall, is located on E. 180th, off of Boston Rd. The NYBG, is located north of Fordham Rd, by Southern Blvd. So that's a physical impossibility, unless you found some sort of portal, that teleported you there. That's the Bronx Zoo, on the other side, of that waterfall, and it'll leave you, by the lift, off of where the trolley runs by. You'll also be knee high in mud.

    • @louistroche5830

@@randee4550 I lived across the street from that waterfall almost 50 years ago before lamberg projects was built. That park was different back then but you're right, there is no way to follow the river north through the zoo. I remember my father going in the water back then. You cant do that now.

For those who are not, it is highly suggested to visit an outer borough (The Bronx, Brooklyn, Staten Island and Queens) and go to some under the radar areas that are both unique to NYC yet are shockingly "non typical!"

I've got to see if Liebman's delivers and the Taquiera. Never knew about the cigar place. Thanks for highlighting my borough in your video and congratulations on your pregnancy.

Loved the video guys 🤗🥰. I’m not sure whether I’ll be able to get over there at the end of September (going to have to get things organised for late June to make it happen) but, it looks interesting. 🍻😉

Thanks for pointing out the West farm rapids , I'll definitely check it out when it gets warmer. Some places to consider: Barretto Point Park, Bruckner Bar and Grill, sound view park. That's all that comes to mind now. Subcribed!

Hola! Great you guys made it to my neighborhood in Riverdale. Liebman's is great their meat knish is also very good. Riverdale is an excellent diverse community for raising a family and apartments here though pricey are half the price of yours.
We're going to Parkchester tomorrow to try Taqueria! 😋

@@SarahFunky We had the burrito and nachos. It was good. Near Riverdale on Kingsbridge and 231st Street we have Mi Lindo San Miguelitos and their burrito are bomb 💣 as well as their tacos and nachos. You must visit when you come back!
We also ordered Indian food next to Taqueria T and had their chicken tikka masala and naan bread and I must say it's the best in The Bronx!

There are some other smaller waterfalls along the Bronx river around there. And by Orchard Beach if you go to the left towards the park away from the beach, you get to these lil hilly trails and even islands.

I love how you find all these dope places in this borough. I live near Riverdale actually. Btw if you and Louie are down for some good Mexican food, stop by Metate! It's literally near Liebmans on Johnson Ave. Recommend their margaritas and steak burrito! :)
