    Kostya playing the KID is allways instructive 🙌 Another save into the YT library.

    I've seen a bunch of your game recaps, mostly on your personal channel. I appreciate your analysis, and your style of play.

    Interesting! I struggle playing the KID, but it seems like a fun defense.

      It doesn't look like a defense haha :)

      @@gp2776 Right?! I definitely need to shift my perspective with this one.

    Great job with that "Not doubting your instincts" catch!! That exchange sac was gorgeous, and I have nothing but compliments for you on your improvement with those instincts. I think a lot of the players who plateau at the IM level will focus a little too much on the safety of material parity. It was a fast game, so taking a gamble is more fine, but that position was very reminiscent of the Fedoseev-Carlsen bind. That's definitely a 30 second exchange sac; Check some critical lines, but it's a *positional judgement call,* not a calculation one. Thank you as well for not giving the engine evaluation, I agree with you that the objective quality of the move matters far less than the practical quality.

    Nice one and thanks for the guidance through the games! 👍I really like dynamic openings like KID and The Modern Benoni (the latter not against 3 Nc3 though because of the f4 and Bb5 attack).

    I looked at a lot of Hungaski’s stuff when I was learning the QGA. Also liked his lectures at SLCC. He’s a good teacher. Gg Kostya

    I don’t play the KID, but I find Kostya talking about it to be instructive… 🤷🏻‍♂️🙏

    I’m a noob, so after 9…NxN+ retaking w the pawn, doubling those pawns is a mind-boggler. 2:36 . My weak iPhone engine evals both PxN and BxN as zeros.
    Really nice games… 🙏🙏👏👏

      It's a risky decision for sure -- White gets more space and a possible attack but at the cost of the structure. Don't try it at home! 😆

    Stop playing King's Indian and you will become gm instead of im.

  • @dedust242

    All of you IM playing bunch of dubious opening and defense, unnecessary sacrifice, etc.

    • @gp2776
      @gp2776 ปีที่แล้ว

      To become a GM, you need to master dynamics, imbalances, taking risks etc. You can learn all of that from the King's Indian.
      If he has great results with the opening at his level and against GMs (ie all of his analyzed games here & on his own channel), there is no reason to change.

    • @AntonStachSZN
      @AntonStachSZN ปีที่แล้ว +3

      1. this is not dubious, it is cutting edge theory 2.the sacrifice was very strong
      but sure you know it better
