The back is no joke, especially if you've had previous surgery on it. This was a fun video, no matter how you explain the good or the odd times you always make it worth watching.

Great job with the stand and moving the tanks John and Alex! You need to be sure your back is ok so whatever you need to do to do that is not overthinking, it's being cautious. Can't wait to see what coming next in the fish room! Lisa's salt water tank??? 🤩

Better to overthink it and not do your back in than underestimate it.
Both are mistakes but only one of the mistakes will make you pay for it! lol
Glad your little white cloud survived.
And the new tanks look fab!

The tanks look so awesome together, all coordinates well. what's missing is the black paint. I can't wait for the scape.

Totally understand moving big tanks. I just unloaded my 280 gallon tank out of my truck by myself with the help of a hydraulic floor jack, a pair of cinder blocks, nylon strap with a ratchet clip, a pair of 2x4s and a single furniture dolly. I weigh about 170.

Nice of you guys to put the tanks down low enough for Carl and Baby Kitty to be able to see the fishies easily. Hope they appreciate all your hard work.

I have a wonky back, too, since being rear ended by a truck while I was running an errand back in 1987, so I’m experienced in knowing when to bring in help. It’s better to so that than to move the wrong way and start screaming in pain. Stay safe, please. I’m sure your family will appreciate it. 😊

Gteat video!....i am dreading having to move my tabks around this video gave me some good and "not" so good ideas 😅. Since my fiance has MS i move all my tanks alone. I need to add a 60 breeder tank to my breeding rack, move a 40 breeder, break down and move several 20 longs and smaller tanks, and potentially move my 150 and 90 gallon tanks out of storage. Not looking forward to it at all!
I have to add that your dayghter being the comic relief in this video was pure gold 😂

Have you done a water change on those bottom tanks yet? If yes, how did it go? I have a 40g tote that's almost on the ground, and I struggle hard to get the siphon started. Plus, i have back issues as well and i spend almost zero time with it since moving it there.

Hey Whip. It's a slow process with the python, but it works. I've been doing it with the sumps for the betta set up and I've learned to be patient lol (Lisa)

I have a pictis catfish that jumped out of his tank, was out all night long flopping around in a house with two cats and a dog and i found him in the morning super dried out, a little miscolored but I tossed him back in and he was back to normal after about a week...

I had a 'zombie' goldfish,it jumped out of its tank,I never noticed untill I saw my cat playing with something, the fish was all dry, covered in bits of fluff with most of its tail fin missing due to the cat,I got it from the cat,my first instinct was to wash it ,I did and it started twitching,so I plopped it back in its tank it wriggled a bit and sank to the bottom, its gills were working tho,so I left it,next day it was bouncing all around the tank again, bit tatty, but very much alive, still got it,its now over 15 yrs old.

I screwed my back up a few months ago moving tanks around with the substrate and hardscape in them. Thankfully I apparently didn't do permanent damage, just kind of wrenched it and had the muscles in my back screaming.

Love the new setups! I too have had multiple back surgeries and have to be very careful. I totally understand. It's the little movements, like bending over to pick up a pencil, that get me every time.
Question: Do you have trouble siphoning / gravel vacuuming those tanks on the floor or near the floor? I put a small tank on the floor under my main show tank as a breeder or quarantine tank, and it was such a pita to clean. I could never get it to siphon to do water changes or vacuum. How do you deal with this?

I'm hoping someone can help me out. I have a 5 gallon tank with a betta. I've only had it for few weeks at most. It has a sponge filter turned down as low as it can go, just a trickle. I got a master test kit and everything was perfect except for my ph. It is at 7.8. I tested my tap water multiple times and its right at 7.2. Why has my ph gone up so much in my tank? I used aquarium gravel for my substrate so it shouldn't have any rocks that change the ph right? I'm guessing I should do water changes every 2-3 days to bring it back down. Should I do something else?

Ehh brother. No joke. Similar story with an Electric Blue Acara of mine. I took him out of my main tank because he wasn't well, being bullied. Put him in a 5g isolated tank with Salt and went for groceries. Come home, look to see how he's doing and has NOT there. I looked at my wife and said, where is he?! As I look, I see him on the floor, dried up about 15 ft away. Instinctively I drop him in the water. He sinks. I'm bummed...
Put the net in to grab him an she kicks upright, he's swimming! I said if he survives this kick of treatment he gets his own tank. It's been about 6 months and he's in a 40g breeder, blind in one eye, growth is stunted and he lost some brain cells I'm sure because he thinks he's doesn't realize he's a Cichlid lol he even got a name, King David hah you just never know. Thanks for sharing
