I agree @EnjoylifeinJesus (nice handle btw). 😄I was baptized in a lake with a group of other students who had previously given their lives to Christ. It was just an outward sign, of an inward change. A public declaration of our rebirth into Christ's body. The fact it was done in a lake and officiated by our pastor was so special, even though the water was ice cold. 🥶I vividly remember that day over 50 years later, as it made a significant impression upon me. At my church, two associate pastors are dressed in white robes and the person being baptized is also in a white robe. Our Pastor stands in the pulpit. The baptism pool is behind the choir stand. And the Pastor says "be baptized in the name of father, the son and the holy spirit. Then the associate pastors dunk the person in the water 1 time. It's done on First Sundays of the month.

I’m sorry Corey, you are misinterpreting Acts 2:38 which is very clear and precise. No need to take it out of context. Peter have authority given to him to preach the gospel to the unbelievers to repent and be baptized so they can receive The Gift of The Holy Ghost. You repeated and said exactly the same thing in your critique as if you are saying something different, but you were not, just because you throw in a Greek word. Why do that though when it’s the same exact words and meaning of that passage? Also you categorically and totally misrepresent 1 Corinthians 12:13 as you take it out of context. The whole Chapter 12, Paul is addressing and speaking to the Saints that have already been baptized by water. He’s telling them how important each of them are to the whole body of Christ and the many gifts given to them may differ amongst them but it’s still the same Spirit that manifests it. Baptism cannot be assumed by anyone, it’s a physical and spiritual act and is an ordinance to be performed by those who are given such authority. You must be fully immersed in a body of water. It’s false to say you are saved just by Faith. Faith is the first step, not the only step as its followed up with the second step. The Bible teaches you cannot have Faith without Works and Works without Faith. They go together, never to be separated. James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that Faith without works is dead?” Faith without works is dead. The works part is to be Baptized to wash away our sins and to be born again. Renewed, become a new creature. Start fresh. After the Baptism, the Saints receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost which is the Baptism by Fire to remain with them as long as they are living righteously. That’s the order of God. You cannot be saved without Faith (Belief), Repentance and the act of being baptized by water and then receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Jesus set the example for us to follow even though he did not sin. 1 Peter 3:21 says even baptism doth also now save us. John 3:7 says we must be born again. Mark 16:16 says belief and baptism you will be saved. Belief/Faith is the first step in the path of Salvation. John 3:5 says Jesus told Nicodemus if a man is not born again, he cannot see the kingdom of heaven. Plain and simple, nothing to be misinterpreted and taken out of context misleading others. That being said, I agree with you they are mocking God as you cited with the video you play.
Oh my GOD this should not Be Lord have Mercy I remember being apart of this church and the Lady push me down hurt my back I had bad pain but JESUS CHRIST YESHUA healed me ! This should not be
This is foolishness...but Why Did the Apostle Paul Ask Certain Disciples If They Received the Holy Spirit upon Believing? While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul went through the inland regions and came to Ephesus. He found some disciples there and said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They replied, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit” (Acts 19:1, 2 ). Apollo was baptise under John but he still needed to recieve the baptism of tge Holy Spirit

I remember when I used to be legalistic and critical. Thank God for setting me free. Just bc people don't do it to our taste, doesn't mean they're wrong. Jesus called someone a dog, he spit on people, he turned tables over, he talked back to his parents (didn't you know I would be about my father's business), he hung with sinners, he drank wine, etc, etc, etc. The same people who criticize ministers today would have criticized Jesus then. Some people that are criticized have had their lives absolutely and radically changed by God and they love him and his people and are free enough in the spirit not to follow some dry religious pattern just to make it more acceptable to some. If people in your church are being set free from their chains, that's all that matters. The Lord moves through personalities so everyone's ministry is going to look different. And some men are more masuline than others. If a man is not intentionally trying to behave like a woman, I don't believe God counts that as sin. 😇
I don’t agreed with many people but it actually shows that only 3 times the holy spirit was given/received times. Others times it’s literally after baptisms. And they had to pray for them to receive the holy spirit.
Even water boarding has instructions on place on how it's conducted. WOW!! It is such a shame that so many people are ignorant of scripture and church conduct.
Acts 2:38, Acts 8:16, Acts 10:48, and Acts 19:5 all show baptism in the name of Jesus. This is the true enactment of Matthew 28:19. We pray in Jesus's name, we cast out devils in Jesus's name, and we're to be baptized in Jesus's name. Also read 1 Corinthians 1:13-15 for more reference to this fact.
I don't agree with preachers and people who put on a show in church. I dont agree with these preachers who conducted these baptisms. Let me say this, the baptism in JESUS Name is according to the acts of the Apostles (those that walked with JESUS and received the commandments from the LORD after our LORD rose from the dead). Acts 2:38 is quoted for baptisms in churches today because we responded to the preached Word just as the people in the Bible in Acts 2 responsed to Peter's preaching on Pentecost, and the people asked "what should we do"? And Peter went on and stated Acts 2:38. Baptism is very sacred and nothing to play with.
The so-called “black church“ has always preferred theatrics and their traditions over the WORD. These particular people will not open the Bible without being told, ‘turn in your Bible to…’, and then they only turn there then look up at the tv screen around the building. These are not people who study the Bible. They tend to read the it when they’re in trouble or scared as if it’s a talisman or magic potion. This is also why so-called preachers like this exist and thrive.
Another point, the Holy Spirit that came upon the people when they were speaking in tongues before they were Baptized is not the same as receiving The GIFT of the Holy Ghost which only comes after Baptism. Christianity have been making a serious mistake on that one for centuries. Perhaps you can do some prayer, research and more study to learn the difference so correct doctrine can be taught. The Gift is special and is exclusive and helps to keeps those who are Baptized with authority from God stay on the righteous path. The other teaches truth and is a witness to Everyone to come unto Christ and come follow him.
...instantly "sealed with the promise" 😇 Ephesians 1:13 [13]In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Yes he did dip 7 times. I do agree with Corey in this video, however that clip was was used in a misleading way and taken out of context. In it he was not even talking about baptism. He was talking about where God told Naaman to dip himself seven times in the Jordan River. Can't mix truth with lies. That's Corey doing theatrics like he pointed out the other guy was doing. He took a edited clip of a guy who was preaching about dipping himself seven times in the Jordan, and tried to mock someone for baptizing themselves.
I do agree with this video. Just one thing u said at 5 mins about effeminate being a sin. Where does that say in the bible? Its a difference from being soft and delicate to rejecting God given identity as a man.
Up to a certain point I agree with you but the scripture in Acts 10 that you read didn't say they received the Holy Spirit after believing in the Lord Jesus. And it means automatically after receiving Him we are baptised in the Holy Spirit.
Everyone needs to be baptized according to 1 Peter 3:21.. Baptism doth now also save us... Everyone must be born again of the water and the spirit..Acts 2:38 will save us
Simon the sorcerer did not receive the Holy Spirit when he was baptized....in fact, it only appears he said he believed and was baptized because he wanted something....Peter rebuked him because his heart was bitter as he thought he could purchase the Holy Spirit and give the Holy Spirit to other people. He wanted power and notoriety. Much like a lot of these preachers who don't even know the word.
Them 5 dunks was crazy. She couldn’t take it no more so she moved forward. What did this crazy man mean by die??? That don’t sit well with me when he say that. These wicked men in the pulpit is gone!!!!
Okay pushing them back under is uhh crazy. I went to church the other day and a minister laid hands on my head and said "in the name of Jesus" and like pushed my head back. It totally messed up my prayer to God. I got so distracted. I'm sorry but some things are men and some things are of God and you need to find a man of God that knows the difference. When you have the anointing you don't need to push my head back- God will do it. It's happened before when real men of God lay hands- it's like you're whole body just shakes. It's weird. But no theatrics needed- just straight up the power of God.
That would be a serious problem for me pushing me down like that. You go down once and that's it. Wish people would open their eyes and understand this is nonsense.
The devil sitting on that alter just smiling…. I pray these people wake up before it’s too late! Read the BIBLE for Yourself people! Don’t let these devils drag you to hell with them.
The first one troubles me. Not only because it’s unbiblical but because I have hydrophobia and the thought of someone continually pushing my head under water scares me. That’s not baptism, it’s waterboarding and that’s a form of torture. There’s nothing Biblical about that. When I was baptized my husband stood at the pool and extended his hand to help me out. He knew of my fear and stood there to comfort me. That was a beautiful experience. What this “man of God” did was horrific.
Shall speaks concerning what will come to past..It hasn't happened but they will receive the Holy Ghost by calling on the name of Jesus and they will speak in tongues like the day of Pentecost in Acts 2..It's the same for Romans 10:9..Shall means it will come to past but has not.. Many preachers say if you say this prayer you are saved..No Jesus is the foundation of salvation
I didn't have a problem with the 2 water baptism only becuz they didn't have proper equipment to do the water baptism. Yes, they could've met at a river or a pool and done it there, but I don't know if they had access at the time. That first baptism was all about the preacher and how so-called spiritual he was (not). He wanted everyone to look at him instead of the people who were getting baptized. 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Although our natural tendency is to laugh at such tomfoolery, many don't consider the tragedies that can occur when showboating and other unbiblical practices are involved in water baptisms. When I lived in the Washington DC metropolitan area, a local African Methodist Episcopal church tragically killed an infant by drowning while dunking it during a baptism ceremony. Where flesh and biblical illiteracy rule, all kinds of evil outcomes abound. 😥
My spirit grieves over this. Imagine how much more grievous the Lord must feel over what goes on in churches these days.

Gibberish tongues?? What happened to this gift for 1800 years??
It is the mark/seal of God. The down payment of the promise of God. Give the moment you believe.
...instantly "sealed with the promise" 😇
Ephesians 1:13
[13]In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Wow, I'm speechless Cory
10:54 yeah. It gave me chills to see that he intentionally stopped on 6 and did not dip a 7th time.
@@estusestusIt was still foolishness.
@corey You need to make another video on Tiphani Montgomery
What happened with her?
WTH!!! Forgive my language! I hate this kind of antics in Church. That guy is such a fraud!
His crowd is desiring the show.....
I do agree with this video. Just one thing u said at 5 mins about effeminate being a sin. Where does that say in the bible? Its a difference from being soft and delicate to rejecting God given identity as a man.
They really out here having a whole pool party at church 🏊♂️
Up to a certain point I agree with you but the scripture in Acts 10 that you read didn't say they received the Holy Spirit after believing in the Lord Jesus. And it means automatically after receiving Him we are baptised in the Holy Spirit.
Wow! My baptism was nothing like this 😂.
They are playing the Hammond Organ😂
The kids pool 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Guy, doing the baptism has cornrows is all you need to know.
My pastor has baptized hundreds, and he has never carried on like this.
Bro Corey will go after that goof Mike Todd every time. It’s like he can’t
help it. Shenanigans…WELL SAID!!!
Everyone needs to be baptized according to 1 Peter 3:21.. Baptism doth now also save us... Everyone must be born again of the water and the spirit..Acts 2:38 will save us
This so upsetting, my spirit, what the church does in the eyes of our Lord God, the mockery. My Baptism was nothing of the such.
He baptised them Jesus name and that's all that really matters
Simon the sorcerer did not receive the Holy Spirit when he was baptized....in fact, it only appears he said he believed and was baptized because he wanted something....Peter rebuked him because his heart was bitter as he thought he could purchase the Holy Spirit and give the Holy Spirit to other people. He wanted power and notoriety. Much like a lot of these preachers who don't even know the word.
This is absolutely ridiculous.... My baptism was so holy and peaceful...this is chaotic and horrible
Woe unto thee scribes and Pharisees. He who shuts up the kingdom of heaven unto man... shuts up the kingdom of heaven unto himself.
Them 5 dunks was crazy. She couldn’t take it no more so she moved forward. What did this crazy man mean by die??? That don’t sit well with me when he say that. These wicked men in the pulpit is gone!!!!
They playing games😂😂😂
This kind of behavior is normal in a lot of pentecostal churches. If that is not a pentecostal church it sure looks like the ones I've been to
Baptism is to wedding, as the Holy Spirit is to marriage. A show and a life style.
Ahhhhhhhhh! So bad man. Smh.
If I were in that line, I'd get out.
She doesn’t want to drown.
Looks like they trying to drown him. Smh 😂
Not trying to laugh but him screaming "die, die, die"is comical
1 Corinthians 14:33
33 For God is not a God of disorder but of peace-as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people.
You know that woman could have been having a seizure if she wasn't playing his game and no one would know. And the lawsuits would follow!
