While most tracks come from other media, I will admit I love the songs that were made especially for Ring Racers, like this one. It really plays into the nostalgia of the original Kart by having some SFX which came from it, especially the voting screen.
Finally managed to find this! This track left me with the best impression possible of this game's soundtrack, and that's really good considering how important good music is for both Sonic and racing games!
I didn't have much of an impression of this music when I first played on launch day, but after listening to it more, figuring out the game's lore, picking up on the motifs... God, what a perfect track. The pumping beat that hypes you up after a long, lax tutorial section would be more than enough. Listen closely though, and you'll notice boss theme motifs from the classic games flipped to a hopeful Major Key (Mostly Sonic 3's final boss theme, but I hear a bit of Ruby Delusions in some sections as well), communicating Robotnik's turn to the heroes' side. A perfect match for a track with absolutely no hazards or deathtraps, just fun and whimsy.
I hope that some tracks keep their current music. I mean, look at Daytona speedway. I struggle to imagine it improving by swapping out the current song from Daytona USA.
@@firedreadyblocks7427 It does play Escape from the City in City Escape, it's the symphony version, but considering every race track has some variants you can get through some CD collectables in Prison Break mode, idk if you can play the original version, the Generations Classic and Modern remixes and maybe the official Funk Remix, since I haven't got everything in the game yet
I really love this theme as the Track 1, It really excites the player for the journey trough the entire of the rest of the GP Cups Or atleast it did for me, It put me such a smile on my face This song is at the border of going a little too hard, but i Must say its perfecct
@@Davo255_ really great sequence, it really helped me understand speed changes with tight and wide drifting, that drifting can widen your turn significantly, that you should start drifting into a turn early, and that drift boosts are powerful even at lower levels
@@centdemeern1 The tutorial was absolutely horrible? 30 minutes of non stop, unhelpful waffle especially thats hard to absorb when I just want to play the game?
@@jiyunsun bad take, you know there’s an exit behind you as soon as you enter the tutorial and there are several exit teleporters offered as the main option to continue afterwards right? The game’s very clear about this, you can skip the tutorial if you just want to get playing That, plus I think the dialogue is very charming and it has good writing.

Now THIS is how you make a first track. I can't believe how many other racing games start out with the generic "[INSERT CHARACTER HERE] Circuit" and it's literally just a generic race track with nothing interesting. But THIS... This has so much more charm and detail put into it. It's simple but fun, it has that speedy "Sonic"-esqe feel to it, there's even a loop to drive through in one of the shortcuts. It's so creative compared to other kart racers that it genuinely feels like this game tells you, right from the get-go, that this is THE kart racer to top all kart racers. Your move, Nintendo. Let's see if Mario Kart 9 will even hold a candle to this.
