I really wondered why for nearly every video I go on TH-cam I’m getting much more ads lately, and I don’t even have an ad blocker. And I’m not as gentle about this as you are, because sometimes these ads are longer than the actual video I enter to watch and I can’t always skip them. So for watching the video that I want in peace I have to restart it over and over and over again!
I think it's fair to a degree, yes, and if you block the ad then the creator won't make revenue from the video. But this is coming from the same people who will demonetize people for breathing the wrong way, and hand out strikes to creators from almost 5-year old videos, back when certain rules weren't in place. There is always one word that comes up in TH-cam situations like this, and that word is always "communication". I highly recommend watching CoryxKenshin and JackSepticEye's videos on TH-cam problems

I started boycotting long unskippable ads for good when the Unlucky Tug was falsely terminated. This company just makes no sense sometimes.
