Ang doesn't even show liking Katara in this adaptation and I get why.
My main gripes with this show, is the character changes. I feel like Katara doesn’t have that sass and back bone she had in the og show at least until the 7th episode, I never really laughed at anything with Sokka but that’s more a nitpick, Bumi isn’t this crazy fun loving old man that still cares about Aang instead he’s senile and rude to Aang, which is a warranted but it’s just a far cry from how he usually is. I’m also not really a fan of how much they crammed into each episode because I think it takes away certain elements, like in the Bumi episode Katara and Sokka were in danger of being incased in crystals if Aang didn’t do Bumi’s tests, but here there’s really no incentive for Aang to stay there and do the tests. I also didn’t really care for Koh here, one he’s introduced way to soon and his voice doesn’t give off that creepiness his animated counterpart had, two I feel like Aang showed too much emotion in his face and if you know Koh that’s not something you should do.
Honestly the show is just mid to me but maybe it’ll get better in the future seasons which have been confirmed.
I enjoyed the live action Netflix series but I prefer the original cartoon.
What really killed the show for me was the fact that Aang could propel himself off the ground, meaning he could fly away without his glider. Calling into question moments later in the show why didn't Aang just fly away?

The cartoon will always be better than anything that comes after it.
ATLA is such a masterpiece it cannot be improved upon in the way people are hoping.
Once you remove the expectation that the live-action will ever be as good as the original, it's actually a pretty good adaptation.
Being able to see the genocide of the air nomads, despite the circumstances around the inclusion of the scene, was really cool.
The Siege of the North in live-action is fantastic and was exciting to watch all the way through.
So are we ever gonna get a boondocks analysis

Before you can criticize this show, you first have to denounce Teen Titans Go and how it just constantly does everything it can to ruin the legacy of the OG Teen Titans, a much better show in all categories a show can be better than another.
Nah korra was wack as af dont bring that back
