The best way to counter a passive player is to come right back at them with the throw pro strat. I know its kinda cheap, but what they're doing is cheaper in my opinion.

No, honor doesn't exist. It's a game. Weapon starving is a very good strategy. If you can't pick up a weapon then technically is your fault to not knowing how to punish that behaviour

Because fighting someone weaker than you won't make you stronger. I don't weapon starve in experimental even cuz I don't like playing passive or just dumb. I wouldn't hate on someone who does it in experimental but I don't do it cuz I find it dumb (I agree with you on that point). If you wanna train or anything you should go in ranked. For example me, my pc was my father's pc, but he bought a better one for him and gave me the old, but that hapenned with my friends too, leavin they all with a little money and a bad computer, mine's for example, just ramdomly open one drive while im in a match and my pc just start to run brawlhalla very slowly and it makes bad ppl (normally spammers win against me) and they are a part of the community that fits where i said, still they are not smurfs, or even good, they just be like: "gg ez nub, u so bad u must be playing on a frickin cellphone lol"...

I feel like you could update this for a 6th addition. weapon starvers. like a throw pro who prioritises every weapon spawn over fighting just to ensure youre stock is useless by the time you get one unless you get good rng weapon spawn. Yeah unarmed is a thing but youre still at a dissadvantage unarmed and that can be a pretty disheartening thing to have to overcome. Its just not fun.

Speaking of BMers, I joined the Brawlhalla League Discord, greeted by someone saying the game was not good and then proceeded to call me smartass because he told me to "just play the game" and when I said that that's it not enough to learn better core mechanics, then he proceeded to call me names, another guy decided it was good to call me a "clown" because of it. I've been playing the game for 2 days! And it already feels like it's full of elitists and people who can't understand there's new people sometimes.

I feel like the “Passive King” can also derive from a place of good will. To a degree. I know for me, I accidentally fall into this habit out of sportsmanship. In wait until both players are really ready to engage and sometimes even wait for us both to have a weapon. Not because I’m trying to waste time or ruin their fun, but because I want an equal duel where we can both walk away, no matter who wins, a little less salty about something.
Yeah I have some games where we just keep throwing the weapons and items off the map and have a fist fight, way more intense than weapon duels (doesn't help that i'm at a poin tin the game where it's either people who sig spam and you sometimes get someone willing to try actual combos)
I'm doing this sometimes, but maybe 10% of players respect this. Even on fucking 1v1 train games where both are trying to train (new weapon, new legend). More you win the game, less sportsmanship you have :(

Here's a thing all idiotic toxic players should say to spammers. Instead of saying, "haha spammers you bad, you lost lol you suck", say, "you rely on sigs too much". It makes everything that much sweeter and nicer in the community, and it gives spammers instructions on how to improve. I improved purely because someone said that to me.
As a Mako main I do fit in the category of the spammer, just because greatsword dashing is just really fun to pull it off, but after getting into a lobby with 3 Makos I realized how freaking annoying that is and so I started desenvolving some combos on my own and im doing pretty good actually
More recently I've found myself taunting sarcastically. Like when the opponent takes one of my stocks or I get bombhalla-ed either by the opponent or by myself, I will follow it up with a *calculated and a *reading you and a *salty* . Try it, its a true combo I've met so many BMers and I do fight fire with fire. Its great when they get a taste of their medicine. Im not concerned with becoming one of them because I dont become rude for no reason. *Im reactive.* A lot of the times I will taunt to "spice things up" or trigger an opponent into playing emotionally *because* the taunts are in the game for a reason *and* the taunts surprisingly work, the mental game is part of the fun in brawlhalla, but I never trash talk first post-game.
Well if you lose againts those ppl ur the one that doesnt know how to play, the main objective is to win, and you lost and then you rage. For me, i think its stupid to rage on other players tactics even if its dirty (spamming, wall hugging, etc). THE ONLY reasonable rage is when you lose because of LAG

I liked the video. I definitely give it a thumbs up. When I play, I normally play either free-for-all or Ranked 1x1. My play style: in FFA it’s every person for him or her self. For every person, you’re fighting 1 against 3, so it’s a fight for survival. HOWEVER, in Rnk1x1, It is 1 on 1 tournament style. For me, that is Honorable Combat. I follow 3 personal rules. 1)If you have a weapon, let your opponent pick up a weapon, and give them enough room to do so. 2a)Never attack an unarmed opponent UNLESS they attack you first. 2b)If they Do attack you without a weapon, Don’t bring the heat unless the won’t take the hint. 3)Once you are both are in equal positions(both armed or both unarmed), it’s on. So once your opponent grabs their weapon, bring the heat. I call this style “honorable warriors”. My son says that I am being too nice. Is being too nice annoying?

I used to play grax (max attacks) and spam side B, now I play spear/fist monk. I spam forward light to down light since I don't know how to improve. Atleast I wait until we both have weapons and sometimes homiestock in a 3/1 game
@@bram8731 Instead of just playing one character, experiment with characters and weapons you never used before, some you may be bad at but some may be good. I always thought i was bad at orb but after practising for 10 minutes, i can two stock my friend who specializes in scythe,sword,katars and gauntlets. Don't limit your self, use other characters and have fun. Remember you can test any character in training ( thats how i found out about my main in yumiko and fait)
@Emerion Emerald of course there are some good Lance Players with good Strings and Combos. But for me personal Lance is by far the Most annoying thing to Fight. I don't even lose often against lance players it's just so annoying and boring to play against.

I feel like the “Passive King” can also derive from a place of good will. To a degree. I know for me, I accidentally fall into this habit out of sportsmanship. In wait until both players are really ready to engage and sometimes even wait for us both to have a weapon. Not because I’m trying to waste time or ruin their fun, but because I want an equal duel where we can both walk away, no matter who wins, a little less salty about something.
Yeah I have some games where we just keep throwing the weapons and items off the map and have a fist fight, way more intense than weapon duels (doesn't help that i'm at a poin tin the game where it's either people who sig spam and you sometimes get someone willing to try actual combos)

Here's a thing all idiotic toxic players should say to spammers. Instead of saying, "haha spammers you bad, you lost lol you suck", say, "you rely on sigs too much". It makes everything that much sweeter and nicer in the community, and it gives spammers instructions on how to improve. I improved purely because someone said that to me.
They usually do it on purpose. 8 times outta 10 when I'm fighting a Sig spammer their dodging and gravity cancels are amazing. They just spam.

As a Mako main I do fit in the category of the spammer, just because greatsword dashing is just really fun to pull it off, but after getting into a lobby with 3 Makos I realized how freaking annoying that is and so I started desenvolving some combos on my own and im doing pretty good actually

More recently I've found myself taunting sarcastically. Like when the opponent takes one of my stocks or I get bombhalla-ed either by the opponent or by myself, I will follow it up with a *calculated and a *reading you and a *salty* . Try it, its a true combo
I've met so many BMers and I do fight fire with fire. Its great when they get a taste of their medicine. Im not concerned with becoming one of them because I dont become rude for no reason. *Im reactive.* A lot of the times I will taunt to "spice things up" or trigger an opponent into playing emotionally *because* the taunts are in the game for a reason *and* the taunts surprisingly work, the mental game is part of the fun in brawlhalla, but I never trash talk first post-game.

I liked the video. I definitely give it a thumbs up. When I play, I normally play either free-for-all or Ranked 1x1. My play style: in FFA it’s every person for him or her self. For every person, you’re fighting 1 against 3, so it’s a fight for survival. HOWEVER, in Rnk1x1, It is 1 on 1 tournament style. For me, that is Honorable Combat. I follow 3 personal rules. 1)If you have a weapon, let your opponent pick up a weapon, and give them enough room to do so. 2a)Never attack an unarmed opponent UNLESS they attack you first. 2b)If they Do attack you without a weapon, Don’t bring the heat unless the won’t take the hint. 3)Once you are both are in equal positions(both armed or both unarmed), it’s on. So once your opponent grabs their weapon, bring the heat. I call this style “honorable warriors”. My son says that I am being too nice. Is being too nice annoying?

I used to play grax (max attacks) and spam side B, now I play spear/fist monk. I spam forward light to down light since I don't know how to improve. Atleast I wait until we both have weapons and sometimes homiestock in a 3/1 game
@@bram8731 Instead of just playing one character, experiment with characters and weapons you never used before, some you may be bad at but some may be good. I always thought i was bad at orb but after practising for 10 minutes, i can two stock my friend who specializes in scythe,sword,katars and gauntlets.
Don't limit your self, use other characters and have fun. Remember you can test any character in training ( thats how i found out about my main in yumiko and fait)
