Fun fact, the coop health scales depending on the amount of alive players. You actually do 50% less damage if 2 players are alive, it's not boss health being doubled. If someone dies at the start, the boss will start taking normal amounts of damage again which makes it feel like singleplayer.

Thats actually facts and i saw that when i was in a run and gun and my friend died i could one shot mobs again.the same with the boss minions.on short your attack has less power when your friend is alive.pretty interesting.thats made so multiplayer is more balanced bc if it wasnt for that everyone would try to find a friend just for extra damage(but i think it was already obvious so sorry for wasting your time).i am just happy to see someone actually knowing this
I love how he takes the blame for his sister, because he knows that these things take a lot of practice and they can be difficult and overwhelming to remember first time. It's really neither of their fault but it's nice to see the understanding.

@@extra_ram_noodles this game is super hard, especially if (like me) you have a processing disorder because it slows your reaction time to visual cues. I've never been able to beat Cuphead. It's a very unforgiving game.

You should have had her get an extra heart and that homing shot. That way she can survive longer and help more in fights.
this is a very good idea!! at the very least giving her chaser or crack shock would make this so interesting
@@loveshikashika4343 unfortunately, that wouldn't count as a speedrun because you would have to play on an old save, not start a new one.
@@eleanorcooke7136 Except you don't? You can get the Chaser pretty easily on a new save so it wouldn't be an issue.

Okay, but the real question is if a speedrunner can carry a game journalist through Cuphead.
Surprisingly, they can, if only because being down to one player in two player mode makes Cuphead act like normal. This run would roughly be how the Cuphead run would look like with Ben and a game journalist.

Yea like for example the robot fight, at the last phase he could've literally pressed the parry button and revived, but nope. Truly an accurate sibling relationship-

When they're both alive, they both only deal 50% of the normal dmg output each. He's letting her go because he knows it'll be exponentially easier once he's alone and back to dealing single player 100% dmg.

@@-Twotonepony- no in cuphead when the other player dies the boss still stays on 2x the hp, it only goes back to normal when you remove player two then restarts the level
Little Fun Fact when I was playing with someone who didn't know how to play cuphead
He pressed the start button on his controller while he was dead and I had two hp and he was able to take one of my hp to come back to life, I was shocked because I didn't know you could do that, I think he found it out on accident
Edit: The other player's ghost has to be off-screen for it to work

I have a hard time imagining that it’s either a glitch *or* a cheat code? It seems functionally similar to sharestocks in Smash Bros. It’s probably just a hidden mechanic.

I was laughing so hard when she tried to save you and was accidentally pressing the EX button instead, great video!
So it isn’t just me. I played co-op with my brother and cousins recently and it felt like Captain Brineybeard’s fight was taking an eternity just to get to the ship phase. Like none of the other bosses felt as long as him.
I wasn't paying attention when you said "little sister" and thought she'd be like 12. I was all like "aww" then looked down and was like "oh, that still sweet".

I don't know if the cuphead creators fixed this in a patch but in the devil fight, if you go right up to the hole but not inside the hole, you can just shoot the devils' skin until it says boss beaten or whatever when you beat them. also please to the dlc I'd love to see you and Cassie speedrun that.

it lowers the amount of players' damage. it doesnt double the bosses' health

It's funny how when cassise dies, he doesn't parry her most of the game
I am amazed by cupheads creativity of the bossfights
2nd contoler has the option to join in at any time with 1 hp if there isn't a second player. if you disconect the second player in the pause menu the prompt will appear allowing you to revive the 2nd player mid game with no down sides.I used this alot when playing cup head with friends and family as im usaly better at surving then them. this is not a glitch, its a featue so it has worked from realise to dlc.

Fun Fact:you actually can revive by pressing the options buttons when you are dead(you did that with another friend).but it does take one life from the player thats alive(he has to have atleast 2 hp
Speedzy fun fact! There is an exploite where u can remove the second player and if they join back in they will ve at 1 hp but as long as player 1 is alive they can't really stay dead
Tip:
If player 2 dies but their ghost goes off-screen, you can go to the pause menu, remove player 2, and then they can rejoin. It's a little bit slower than reviving, but it's worth it in general.

If you go really close to calla maria when she is trying to turn you to stone you wont get turned to stone :D hope this helped!!!!

Feel like next time you should beat the game with her. Not having her die and then just beating the bosses because it’s easier that way. It would be way more challenging for you to have to restart the entire boss battle and Casey can learn as well but idk that’s what my brother and I do
Fun fact: When player 2 dies you can pause and make player 2 leave and re join and that will give players 2 one more heart therefore reviving them

just so you know, this run isn't verifiable because both players (ghost or alive) need to be on screen 5 seconds before the knockout.
Wait, is it not common knowledge that you can actually revive yourself and steal 1 HP from the other player if they have 2 or more HP? Is this some sort of sacred knowledge only people who've played way too much 2-player Cuphead (or, in my case, a pretty small amount of Cuphead with someone who tends to button-mash when they die) know? Then again, not sure how much that would've helped in this run, but it would've been fun to see.
for the genie boss right before the marionette you can go small and skip the whole stage
and on the sally stageplay stage you can stand on the little flying babies to do a secret idk if it helps or not.

me: having 800 hours on cuphead and getting all the achivements, know that on computer you can take the other players life to revive yourself if you press the esc button.
Alright look, I've played Cuphead enough times to know that the best weapons to use when fighting ribby n croaks is spread, roundabout, and p. sugar. When using the roundabout's EX move in the 1st phase, it does TONS of damage. On phase 2, switch to "Spread" and hold down the shooting button while staying next to the frog fan. On phase 3, just wing it from there. Or just do it your way, im not forcing you.
Cheat: when second player is dead you can open the menu and make the second player exit and then come back again, it will revive them but with only 1 HP
Fun fact. With the onion in root pack, if you don't hit it, he just smiles and go away. There is a radish with the carrot, but it's a great time saver

Did you know that if you're playing with someone, if they die, but you dont revive them, you can just pause, then remove them, and when they join (during the fight), they will be alive, but olny with 1 hp. though... But you can do it as many times as you want! It olny work for player 2
The most surprise run would be carrying here but she must be Alive to end it

if you ever do this again with the dlc,if casey dies,you can go into the pause menu,remove casey and then casey can join back and be put back into the battle alive at 1hp!Just a little tip for you if you want to use it.

you can kill sally's husband to get rid of the baby and make the fight take like 2-3 less minutes

Here's a tip for those struggling with cala maria, in her 2nd stage if you stay near her head so her beam can't get you then its easy to get by!! Just use your 2nd weapon (the little bombs)and dodge the eals bullets which there arent a lot near cala marias head
