Many thanks for a nice video. I am just trying to learn how to catch Crappie here in Central Florida. I notice your point one antenna is at the rear of your boat. Where do you have your transducer mounted? Also, what brand and model trolling motor do you have where do you have your trolling motor mounted? I would assume that you have spot lock of other type of software to maintain your heading. The point one antenna on your boat looks similar to the one I have on my Minn Kota trolling motor which as the spot lock feature. I love it, best thing since sliced bread. Ha Ha Any information you can provide would be appreciated. I am presently doing some Structure Logging/Mapping with my Lowrance HDS7. Then I can overlay the map created from the Log file and be able to view the structure anytime I happen to be in the area. I can also view the maps created in the comfort of my home with a 12 volt power supply and associated cable that fits my Lowrance HDS7 unit and add any waypoints that are worthy. Pretty neat.
My transducer is mounted at the rear port side pontoon on my boat. I have the 36 volt ipilot 112lb thrust trolling motor. The heading sensor for it is at the front of my boat. I love the point one. I’m going to make a video soon to explain the point one. I have talked to a few people who doesn’t know what it does. It’s basically the same heading sensor our trolling motors use I really appreciate the time you took to comment and thanks for watching. Sounds like you got a pretty nice set up of your own going. Thanks so much 🐿
@@FishinwithSquirrel First, many thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. I too have never heard of the "Point One" system and will do some further research. Can't wait till you create a new video on that item.
I bought a drone and just got it yesterday for the sole purpose of explaining the point 1. I hope to have the video out no later than two weeks. Thanks again 🐿
I have an older TI that came on my kayak. You can’t network units together, the screen is a much better resolution on the hds, TI doesn’t support active target. The Gen 2&3 doesn’t support active target sonar either. I had to sell my hds3 and get a carbon. If you want mega imaging you will have to get the hds pro. It all boils down to bells and whistles. The more features the more it costs.
Is aluminum tubing welded together. I got the scraps from a local boat dock builder and had some help with some skilled aluminum welders fabricate and weld it together. I will do a video on it for you 👍. Thanks for the sub Mike! 🐿
Nice catch. The lite bulb lit up for me on your comment. Thank you! That’s what it’s all about folks. Excellent content and great interchange of knowledge by participants.
Thank you for the comment. I think they were actually 32’ away. If a make a video on distance to target, would you watch? I think I have away to pull that off. Really that’s the only way to learn. Just call me Missouri! “The show me state!” 😊🐿
Kev 51! I made a video for you! Check it out and tell me what you think! Thanks 🐿. Subtract water depth for distance on Side-Imaging??? MUST WATCH! th-cam.com/video/vjENYvSdSFU/w-d-xo.html
Lake Hartwell can be a little dingy, it is not as clear as Keowee or Jocassee. IMO the fishing is better on Hartwell. Just for reference, Jocassee water clarity can be 20to 30 feet. Jocassee is 400 feet deep in places and is chocked full of lake trout. Jocassee feeds into Keowee which feeds Lake Hartwell. I’m gonna do some videoing on Jocassee soon, it’s a beautiful lake.
LOL over here: It is a "frigid" 44 degrees with 59 degree water temps in late December.....ahahhahahah.....come up and fish the North East with me on DEC 21 and your situation would be downright BALMY compared to us.......
Great Video there i Liked you showing your Lowrance i have the Garmin love using side scan to find crappie check out my channel hope to see ya catch more crappie in new videos.

Can you tell me the difference between Lowrance Ti 1 and the HDS?

What bracket is that holding your cutting board and where did you get it?

That would be great. Thanks
Mike, I posted a video on the bracket that holds my bait board. Sorry it took so long. If you have any questions, just let me know. 👍🐿
They were actually about 12 feet from the side of your boat, the first 20 was under the boat in the black section
