I think she did a proper handshake! What did you expect her to do !? Zheng played better and she deserved to win ! Obviously Sorana wasn’t happy that she lost, but I don’t think she was was rude at the net … I don’t recall them being besties so that handshake was absolutely fine !😊

Indoor clay court is much faster than outdoor. They couldn’t put too much clay because of the dust.

did any one of us expect a different result? Like, really?? For all of us Cirstea fans, she continually disappoints! She gets as high as no23 or no 21, years after years, then bombs out at the next event, I dont think she will ever reach top20. Having said that, Qinwen has such a beautiful and much more promising and optimistic game to watch

@thecarter8700 I'm fairly sure she won her first wta tournament on clay in Palermo. She is decent on clay, and hard courts I think.
Heavy spin vs flat shots
Unless u are hammering the ball like Maria,Serena, Arina etc. on clay, you have no chance against heavy spin 👌
Sorana, you cannot win when you return straight to her racquet and she makes you run corner to corner. You need to make her life miserable as well and angles are drop shots are the best choices to wear her out. Things changed a little bit in the second set, but it was to late to come back. Zheng is not an easy opponent for sure.

Sorana is really shameless and intolerant person with her character. She cannot endure the defeats and debacles in the rough clashes. There shouldn't be such a insipid handshake which occurred on the net. Well-deserved glory from professional Chinese tennis competitor! Congratulations to Zheng!
