This beautiful song was written by Cyril Tawney in 1959 before he left the Royal Navy. I have my mentor Paul Kennerley to thank for introducing me to the Silly Sister's version, and Nic Jones to thank for this wonderful guitar tuning which inspired me to write my own accompaniment.
