Woah, never in my years of following hillclimb racing in general have i seen muscle car turned into such weapon. So well balanced and stable and the way it rolls through hairpins shows chassis is well tuned. This car has potential to do even faster run and join 9 minute club, maybe someday even 8 minute.Of course, better track knowledge and more seating time also help with that.Either way,you guys made muscle car, which are known to be tail happy,in precise grippy machine. There’s no doubt in my mind that without engine issues this car would beat BBI’s Porsches-on european hillclimbs i’ve seen VW Golf’s and Opel Kadett C’s with 2000cc N/A engines beating Porsche GT3 Cup and Ferrari Challenge cars so it’s definetely not farfetched to see Camaro do the same.Respect and congrats for building such a wild beast.
Having seen this car on Hoonigan, this popped up in my feed, and it's great to see the car doing what it was designed (!) and built to do. As a mechincal engineer myself, it was great to see someone put the time and effort into getting something that shouldn't be challenging much newer cars, but reworked and engineered to do just that. IS there anywhere with the full specifications and more pictures of the build?
You are absolutely correct. I drove it the tourist way having thought for decades that I’d love to race PP. After clearing the tree line….. no way would I race it. Lack of talent and guts!
i mean... it's not REALLY a 67 camaro... it's a tube chassis with 67 camaro panels hung on it.. let's get that straight - there's NOTHING structurally or mechanically a 67 camaro there..
My mistake. I thought this video was about racing a 1,000HP Camaro up Pike's Peak. If you want to waste my time pretending you're an on camera celebrity, see ya' bye.
More than half of the video is racing... we do these videos to show people what goes into the whole race day, not just random clips of racing. We are sorry you feel the way you do... have a nice day.
Just started the build for next year its a 1976 CHEVY MONZA hope to see you all there FROM WELD COUNTY COLORADO th-cam.com/video/c11sBG4PPp0/w-d-xo.html

Would have loved to see a slide show of this build. This far exceeds anything someone with a ‘backyard shop’ or hobby shop could do.
Great job! Mind meltingly fast! Good luck to next year!

Great video guys! Simple to the point without any shitty background music!
I saw myself sitting up there in my hammock at 10:09-10:10.
HELL OF A RUN!
That car is beautiful.
Real nice car, great crew and great driving!!! Congrsts, you lived to race another day! 😎
Do you guys have a video where you talk about the complete build of this car? Drivetrain, engine, suspension, chassis, etc?
I bet there's a Camaro under there somewhere!
Amazing beast.
Saw you guys Sunday. That start was crazy with all the fog.
Great job Thanks Patrick for sharing the channel
I would love to pick your guys brain about a compound turbo setup im in the process of building for my 04 sti
I too would need the "Kitchen" labeled if I got up at 3:30 !
Bro, that was so awesome! I'm cheering for you guys! Good luck from Denmark!
Would have NEVER thought u guys hit 200 there, but damn!!!!! Congrats
Can we all just take a moment @1:51 to pause, and appreciate what we are about to experience
The bottom looks like a blast……..the top….that’s another story.

Up into the death zone
lol that big ol car turns in like my gutted m3 lololol . that thing is badass
Good run!
Love the car...congrats on your success.
Who, mon ami, hammers & glues the engine together ?
The times around 5-6 minutes? did they shorten the course?
@7:06 ..200+ ..on Pikes Peak.. Before the drop off to the right
The POV is amazing. Credits to all
What time did you do?
Nice!!!!
That car dope
Make sure every one signs the RPM act we need millions of signatures, millions of them!
Sick
Interesting sound from the engine. It kinda sounds diesel to me, but it's an ls7
Congrats on the run. Question- is the mph on the MoTeC not calibrated correctly? I saw 206 mph on one of the straight's, just wondering.
@John Montgomery I rewatched it again and it say's mph but I really don't think that's possible. Have a nice evening.
Why the course was shortened? Due to snowcover?
yep
What happened with the engine?
broke a rocker stand and had two plug wires burn up
@@DusoldDesigns bummer! But the compunds was working well?
Put the car in that trim on a shirt!
SAWEEET
I miss the dirt road days...type As driving with no safety precautions by driver or track sigh
Do it with a carburetor
I bet it would be challenge to tune a carb with the scarce air up there.
Fat at the bottom.
Lean and mean on top.
On the ragged edge of melting pistons.
High altitude no to much air losing power
All the fuel around and some idiot is running around the car with a lit piece of cardboard or whatever it was.....seriously.
It's no longer fun since they paved the whole thing all the way up.
