So good to see Chip drawing freehand and not using a CAD program, many skills are lost these days and that there is something you cannot replace.....He still has it!!!!!
He just did he's been putting out video's of picture's of car's. I pretty much do the same thing I have a sketch book I draw in before I start to build something to get an idea on what material's I need and what it will look like before I start to build it. Even though the plans can change during the build but I still have a drawing so other's that is helping me know what I'm doing kinda like blue prints.
Chip is dropping some OG art instruction here. Especially the tracing/cheating bit. He's 100% correct. Pros use it as a base to save some steps. Amateurs use it as a crutch. You pull what you need from reference and your knowledge makes it look better than the reference. What Chip is doing isn't really cheating/tracing. He's doing an old composition method. Draw your elements on tracing paper (Chip's using a marker paper here), cut them out and compose them. Tape 'em down and overlay a clean paper and redraw them cleaner. Same thing as shifting elements in layers. Thanks for these vids Chip!
Hi Chip, you are the master in design from bumper to bumper, I'm happy for you and all that you accomplish you are truly blessed! " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me " man even your drawings I would consider pure art! Keep it up brother and GOD BLESS!!
hi chip, im a mustang nut and i pretty much did the same thing with a 1940 ford truck. i found a cobra mustang at a junk yard and transplanted the cobra drive train into my truck. we even custom built a independent rear. all the rest was all cobra. its a very nice looking 1940 ford f series.
The only thing I wouldn't have done is up sweep the rear quarter behind the wheel. I'd have followed the rocker all the way back to the roll pan. But...that's just MY preference! Chip is a Master at his craft. Whether it be on paper or in reality. I applaud his foresight and vision for what something CAN be. Zip~
My favorite part of his TV show was always the creative process in creating a design. This videos really shows how much of an artist his is and I want to thank you Chip for doing these. So awesome to watch. BTW, we had a 1972 bright orange Bronco when I was a kid and that thing was a freaking tank. I mean that in a good way.
I hope to see you draw a 68-69 Torino or see what you have in mind to customize it.

If Lincoln can do a 4 door continental without a roof altogether...in 1962, I'm positive they could fashion a cabriolet El-camino, which is very nearly a coupe as it is.
I appreciate everyone has their own taste, but foose putting huge wheels on everything and dropping it to the ground is really starting to get lame IMO.
I’d drive it!!! I remember 20+ years ago a buddy had a slammed Bronco2. Not in the same cool category but same idea. However back then it was pretty cool.
It's really neat to see an artist's mind at work. I enjoyed every show he and the crew were in. I tried like crazy to my old Navy buddy's 67 Bronco on Overhaulin. Good times.
Something like this would be cool to do a Frankenstein body swap. Put the Bronco on a Mustang frame and the Mustang on the Bronco frame. Drop the Bronco, lift the Mustang. Invert the paint jobs.
At first I wasn't sure but the more he drew and talked about it the more I kinda love the idea. Let's see an interior sketch. I'm thinking the classic Bronco is probably 3 or 4 inches narrower than a modern Mustang so adapting a reproduction shell might dictate a stretch of the body's width.
Mr Foose i love your work. Ive been watching you all over the place and id love to meet you one day. The first car ive ever seen you build was the thunderbird on descovery chanel in the early 2000's .. ive been a fan ever since, i love your work and everything you did and do to make peoples dream come true. Imo your drawings are better than Dave kindigs ..lol if there was ever a comparison made..lol i have great respect for mr kindig as i do for alot of builders. But youre my favourite.. lol keep up the great work.

Hello Chip ... I have my fathers 1976 olds cutlass 442 ordered w a water fall nose and landau top...all original 47,000 miles and looks new candy apple 🍏 green w white interior... what could you do to that ...? My late father loved your cars and him or I would say u would be the only one to touch it ...?
Better make it a GT350. GT500 can't get it with a stick. A 2020 Mustang GT has 460 HP, a 2020 GT350 526 HP. $35000 vs $60000. I'd love to see it when you're done.
The Bronco is body on frame while the Mustang unibody. I don't think the very light Bronco body can substitute strength wise for the Mustang. I think you would be better off building a rectangular tube frame that will take a Mustang drive train and suspension. You can get everything you need from Ford Performance or the after market. U-Wish Street Rods in Jonesboro, Arkansas is building a Bronco for off road driving. They were barely able to shoe horn in a Coyote. You should consider a short extension forward of the cowl. Six inches would complement the drop, improve the ride ang generate enough room so that the motor's front mounted accessory drive can be serviced without pulling the front clip off. .
Chip, you said you've always wanted one. You've said exactly what you would do. Please please PLEEEEEASE make one for yourself and SEMA. I want to see it so badly. Do you Chip, you have a timeless style. Please build it so these haters can be shown that this is just a drawing.
I used to tell people the 1st Gen Bronco took line Qs from the 1st Gen Falcon. When you drop it down and lake the boxy roof off, those Falcon lines show up even more.
I love watching the process, awesome skill, vision and talent. Love this. Not what I would do to that vehicle, but who am I? Not Chip Foose, that's for sure.
To all you haters that can't stand seeing chip always using huge wheels, and cleaning up the ugly . Maybe you wouldn't be so sick of it, if all the car designers didnt copy chips style, and you wouldn't see it so much. And I hatecto break it to you guys, but if car designers had large wheels back in the days of small diameter wheels, they would have used them too! You want proof?? Look at many of the classic 50s car sketch ads, and you'll see how the designers drew wheels larger than you would get in real life. Not to mention they used wide whitewalls, on those huge cars, to simulate a larger wheel, to give the appearance of less wheel gap.
The hood looks way too small for a V8 motor to hide under, but it still looks COOL! Anytime Chip does one of these, I asked myself "isn't he busy enough ALREADY with all he's doing than to add more to his overflowing plate??"
Just refurbished a Bronco II and sold to a guy in Florida. Crazy timing. I keep wondering when he might build a 95-98 Buick Riviera. My wife and I had 2 of them and GREAT CARS
I'm seeing a lot of shades of the Speed Bird. Also a lot of ties to the early fords as well. Would love to see what you would do with that to make it a 2020 version, (other that what Ford is coming out with). THANK YOU for taking the time to share with us all!
Wow I am working on a 66 bronco now got me thinking..won't be be buying a shelbi anytime soon lol. But you gave me some idea...cool beans..buy the way do you keep all your drawing. .love to have one signed by you...😇🚙

If Chip didn say it was a Ford Bronco I wouldn't even have known. It looks like a Kustom covertable that would be cool to see that car come alive with the replica like Chip said they are restamping the bodies might as well as much work that will be done to it pretty much just using the back half the. Front is going to be reworked. 👍🏽
This is one of those guys that has undeniable talent and can build and fabricate awesome cars....... but, I just don't click with anything that he puts out. Maybe it's generational, or the style? I've never felt any of his concept pieces or finished works were very interesting.

Seeing a lot of first gen Falcon in Chip's rendering. Oversized wheels and tires are a no-go for me. Fifteen inch steelies, baby!
I was thinking of the early 60's Rachero front end.
