And the sheer lack of any sort of recognition for Deadlock's leaks...
They're just washed up.
the first references to anything dangerzone related was in 2014 with the exosuit sounds being mentioned in the files, although those might've been for some other experimental thing. dangerzone itself is known to have started development in summer 2016, long bfeore pubg. although valve being valve released it after it was a tired trend
Dz had such a vibe. It was what really made CS GO feel different from CS S but with gambling and good graphics.
I liked this, I would play it randomly but not much
I really miss Danger Zone me and bro only played Danger zone during Covid we peaked so much the point we reached the highest rank in a week we did insane tricks and won every game we played
i really miss it man 😔
Things it added....my god, it was PERFECT *everything* down to the last *minute detail*
SO MANY TOOLS AND ASSETS FOR MODDERS IT GAVE!!
You can't imagine how I miss custom gamemodes and cheats based on this.
DZ was a very well thought out game mode. It was actually fun and engaging, of course it had the staple battle royale feel but at the same time it had the unmistakable CS mechanics, but also unique aspects that made it stand out. I had a lot of fun playing it at the time.
I love danger zone, it was one of my favorite parts of CSGO and I hope it gets brought into CS2 sooner rather than later.
Danger Zone was the funniest Battle Royale I ever played and I miss it dearly.
I always wanted OG maps like Dust 2 to be turned into DZ maps by opening up all the blocked areas and expanding them immensily.
This gives old penguin vibes
And I love it
Not to say the newer ones were baaad, but this feels so much better
Dangerzone was by far my most played CSGO mode, and I haven't played CS2 once
this honestly gave me an idea, since dz is not really a competitive gamemode, they could introduce breakable walls, or in some certain parts, maybe that's why it takes so long to release, to figure out the physics, but that's just copium for valve not being lazy
it was one of the best battle royale games i ever played, together with apex, and pubg, it felt different with some original ideas.
how is it that every 'bad' thing valve did is dearly missed
Danger Zone is cool, but valve working on it instead of the multiple performance and gameplay issues that still push many people away would be a mistake
Bringing this back for Source 2 would be amazing
I always wanted to make a DZ Map that was just parts of the other maps slapped together. The inside part of Nuke, Dust 2 Long A.
I really liked starting out with zeus and farming money shortly after for ssg
also my fav maps were sirocco, frostbite and county
Danger Zone is the only thing that brought me back from Valorant to CS. It’s my favourite Battle Royal mod from any. It’s so well designed, fast action and fun. The jump pads have an insane skill ceilling and very exciting. I wish Valve returns it
Major flaw for danger zone is the lack of guns and ammos
I don't play it that often, but now I actually miss it, and want to play so badly.
Danger Zone only been gone for like a year fym “long lost battle royale”
if the fps drops on dm i dont want to imagine how mutch fps we gona have on danger zone
We lost a lot of the casual fun stuff that made GO so legendary when we switched to CS2. I really hope valve brings everything back and more.
Even if i just played the mode for Operations, it was always such a vibe. Best battle royale by far.
It’s funny how they made Danger Zone and had to cut a lot of corners and pull many tricks to be able to run on source 1 , they then made source 2 and didn’t port it lol. Maybe they’re working on an idealic version with less tricks and better visuals
They need to make Half-Life Battle Royale with a Mexico desert map close to Black Mesa with bunkers, laboratories, alien places to conquer and loot. Also they can have nice and fast paced Half-Life 1 player movement and sci-fi power weapons like the Tau-Cannon.
the bump mine is octane's bounce pad on steroids
I miss Dangerzone so much :CCCCC
