I didn’t even make the JUNIOR VARSITY (JV) basketball team after tryouts ended on December 1, 2018, which was during my junior year of high school.
In a deeply personal attempt to redeem myself, I trained like Steph Curry for 30 days; The goal was to beat some amazing players at a gym in a 2v2 match with a friend from high school who made the varsity team.
I wanted to show the importance of owning and growing from your past, and prove that with faith, consistency, and hard work, anything is possible.
Another main motivation I had for this video was to stop the jokes all my friends had about me because I always sucked at shooting threes lol. You can always change your story!
I had a lot of fun with this one, especially because I love basketball.

@@KDotz cool I’m 5’7 as a 11 year old and I can shoot 3pts I don’t know how to make sure I have the correct strenght because I would shoot and it would go over the rim that’s why I need tips and advice
Sure! Gradually increase your range, starting close to the hoop to build confidence and muscle memory like I did in the video. Also, incorporate some strength training focused on your core and legs to help with those 3-pointers. I believe in you 😎🔥

Your shooting with the wrong fingers your shooting more with your pinky and ring fingers try to center your index finger to the middle of the ball and release with the index and middle finger idk if you knew or not
I feel like I was doing that in the beginning, but as my training went on I began to release more with my index finger! I still do that to this day. Thank you, though!

Useless to train like steph curry. Because you’re not him. Your body is different, your experience is different and what training suits you doesn’t suit him.
I disagree, training like a pro athlete doesn’t mean someone’s trying to be exactly like them. Otherwise, I don’t think he would’ve offered a masterclass for everyone to learn like him lol. He simply taught some fundamentals of the game and advice on how to improve, which anyone can take and apply to their own game. I feel like my shooting has significantly improved after practicing for 30 days, it just happened to be that curry was the teacher (the best to ever do it) just like you would learn from anyone else
