    G'Day Mate. Frank from downunder in Aus.
    Just purchased my Samsung Qled7 and installed yesterday.
    Read some reviews with the problem some are having with the Bose soundtouch 300 Soundbar but let me say that you have given me the confidence to go ahead with my purchase knowing you have eliminated the problems with your expertise. Manufactures owe you for your work and only if they were willing to make similar productions to help buyers.

    I just wanted to let everybody know. I've been using the Bose soundtouch 300 for the last week. Ladies and gentlemen this product is spectacular! If you have heard or read otherwise🤔 it is 100% not true! I am so impressed and I am so picky. All I can say today is I must bow down to BOSE! Spectacular product spectacular sounds movies and music! Thank you Bose for looking out for your customers. You blow my minds with your amazing technology. I don't know how you get so much power and sound out of this sound bar! It is by far the best sound bar system I have ever heard! The trick is making sure it is set up correctly and if you can buy the whole set. In the correct environment as instructed in my video you will be in love! I am laying in bed listening to this beautiful product with a big smile on my face. By the way no one is paying me to say this this is 100% my honest opinion! I just want my audience to know that if you're in the market for a soundbar you have to check this product out!

      +Showtime Pooter first off I would like to thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for watching my video. And supporting my channel and I hope you will consider subscribing to my growing Channel😁 thank you for the kind words about my review I appreciate you. And absolutely I love it so much. I'm seriously blowing away. I really thought it would be half as good as it is lol
      I just crank this bad boy and stare at it in awe .not only is it beautiful but the sound that comes out of the system is just mind-boggling! I had a friend of mine over that is an audiophile.he has got some you know 7.1 Dolby Atoms amazing $7,000 movie room sound system at his house. I mean I have several really nice systems myself. but I am no way consider myself a audio head by any means. but I know when things sound amazing lol.But he was looking at me then started looking around trying to find stuff hiding. He said no way this is coming out of that bose he's looking all around. Then he was like so is this Dolby Atmos and I said no actually it's not. He's like are you sure it sounds just like it lol. So I'm not sure if you've noticed this yet but Bose really does produce sounds where there is no speakers it's mind-boggling. So today I get a photo message from him he went out and bought himself the whole bose soundtouch system haha. He used to always try to talk down about Bose. Anyway it was awesome Tech is just so fun isn't it. Sorry for rambling on this stuff just makes me excited. Thank you again for your comment and support . I hope you have a wonderful 2018!

      in fact i am just picking between the whole set of bose, or the Sony ST5000. ST5000 might save more space and so call can product 7.1 sounds....and its about 500 usd cheaper....so whats ur experience of these 2 if you have time to let me know the dtails....

      Thank you so much for your support and watching. I hope you will consider subscribing and mashing the thumbs up if you have not😉 my honest thought is the sony has great specs at a great price. But somehow it did not amuse me at all. If you want cheaper system with Dolby Atmos go Samsung it sounds great and is priced right. But still as of today to bose is my top pick for soundbar 5.1 systems. Keep in mind I'm extremely picky and this is just my opinion. I hope this helps thank again so much for your support!

    Great job on the video. I bought the entire setup minus the tv. Wish I would’ve seen your video before spending hours figuring out what I had done wrong. Yes, I said I had done things wrong. After figuring out how to set up correctly the sound is amazing. I also bought the virtually invisible surround speakers. Anyone saying this isn’t good doesn’t have a clue. Expensive, yes. I just brought the sound bar to replace the 12yrs old Bose Lifestyle 38.
    People complaining about only 1 hdmi input, but once I connected it to my Samsung hdmi2 (ARC), everything is going through Bose sound bar Automatically (TV, Xbox360, AmazonTV,...). Just to make sure to turn ON the hdmi ARC in Samsung TV Settings.

      Only having one HDMI is no big deal at all. That's the beauty of arc support. I just run it to the arc support which leaves three available and then whatever item I was using in the 4th HDMI on the one connect box. I run straight into the soundbar thus losing no HDMI ports😉 and you get the best sound. I am a huge fan of the bose Soundbar
      I have now owned two complete systems for quite a while and they have only gotten better and better! Thank you again for supporting my channel😊 I truly appreciate you!

    After years since you fell in love with this bose st300, is it still the same feeling owning this soundbar setup compare now with the newer brands in the market?
    I just want your honest opinion because i received an st300 as gift from a friend and planning to upgrade with rhe bass module, or should i sell and buy other brand like the Samsung, jbl or sony

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for watching and subscribing I'm thankful for your support 💯 It's still a great system. It's just missing some key formats like Atmos. The good thing is the bass model and rears can be used with all of Bose New bars. So I say use the free bar buy the Bass and Omni Jewel rears. then later if you decide The Bose 900 ultra would be what you wanted to get if you want the best from Bose as of Now. I also love Samsung Q990 top sound bar system it's outstanding.

    Hey man, great video..Do you think the sound bar alone is worth it? Due to rubbish insulation I can hear neighbours bass quite loud and their tv is on the other side of the room, so they can definitely hear my basses it’s against the wall. Would this still provide decent bass levels without the rumble?

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching and subscribing I'm thankful for your support 🙏 great question and I've been there myself lol. You dont need the bass module but definitely the rears in my opinion. Or you can buy the smaller 500 bass module if you want less power but still bass. The bar itself will sound amazing. The biggest question is what kind of sound you want?. When you have a bar sub and rears you get true Dolby 5.1 if you need that then you need everything. But if you want great crispy sound for your tv and music and true surround is not that important at this time then the bar wil definitely be a great choice 😉💯 here is my bose folder full of information th-cam.com/play/PLMdd-qroR8HVnekwKC2X0IHaqBbcIglaJ.html

    So when using the hdmi arc vs optical is there a sound difference? I'm a bit confused. I'm understanding that using the arc on this sound bar there will be less sound vs optical? I read somewhere that when arc is being use sound is 2.0 or something. Thanks if anyone can help. This video was very helpful and you are sincere about this video. Thank you.

      Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video. I'm honored that you've considered subscribing and took the time to comment. Thank you for your kind words at the end. Arc via HDMI will always be the best audio compacity available. new formats like Dolby Atmos is not even capable through Optical. Having said that either connection with the Bose soundtouch 300 will sound great because it uses Dolby Digital. But if you want the best sound available using a HDMI cable capable of Arc is the best way. As far as getting 5.1 surround sound you must complete the set with the virtually invisible speakers and the sub. otherwise you can not get 5.1. In this case it has nothing to do with the cables you would be able to achieve this with either Optical or HDMI. Hopefully this clarifies all your questions let me know if I can help you any further. thank you again for supporting my channel also here or my other videos completing the soundtouch 300. th-cam.com/video/xlxHZK8euzk/w-d-xo.html

    Love my soundtouch 300! Recently upgraded my acoustimass to the 700 bass module. I personally use xbox x to the TV and arc to the bose. Hdmi CeC default on. Disclaimer! In the xbox you need to choose bit stream in each and Dolby dts for the third. Otherwise you might not get audio or full potential. The tv setting recommended are spot on for other sources as well.

    I'm considering to buy the Böse Soundtouch 300 and will add the sub and the speakers in time.
    But is it not possible to plug your Blu-Ray player and the Xbox in the tv? Will the Böse play the sound of those devices or does those devices have to be connected to the Böse Soundtouch directly?

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much for watching my channel I appreciate you and hope you will consider subscribing if you have not already😁😊 great questions yes as long as your TV has Arc support you will be able to listen to the sound through HDMI from all of your HDMI ports of tv. If you don't have Arc you can also use wireless or optical cable. So you are able to plug one directly into the Bose if needed. But you do not need to plug everything into it you will get sound out of everything from any of those three methods. HDMI ARC or optical or wireless. This is a wonderful sound system and you will love it. I have never been so happy with something before. Please let me know if there's any other questions you have thank you again so much for your support!

      I've bought the bar this afternoon. Installed it following your setup steps. The sound is just amazing!!
      But the WiFi and the App-light were suddenly blinking orange. And now I don't get any sound anymore and the app will not connect to the bar. Do you have any idea?

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It takes a while for the software updates to complete and remember you will not be able to access the bar during that time if it's been 30 minutes or more and has not finished reconnect to the bar as if it's brand new again with WiFi through the app as if it had never been done before. let me know if that fixes the problem if that does not than just unplugged it for 60 seconds and plug it back in but I think that it is doing a software update there was several to do let me know

    • @MrJAgb
      @MrJAgb 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The software update was 5 hours ago, so that could not be the problem. I want to reset it now, bout I think you must do this in the app, and I cant connect the app. It would be a little easier when you had a Böse menu on the tv-screen :P
      Thanks dor your commends btw

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you just bought it today there should be at least 3 updates because builds happen in stages and require the first one before the next one can be upgraded. But first unplug the Bose completely leave it unplugged then unplug your modem and your router plug your modem back and first let it completely boot up then turn on your router let that completely boot up then plug your Bose back in. It is crucial that you know what band your Bose is connected to whether it's your 2.4 gigahertz or your 5 ghz. make sure your phone is on the same band that your Bose is on. then try to reconnect to it that should fix the problem.

I managed to get it all sorted but almost didn't buy the Soundtouch 300 because of all the issues other owners have had. Don't know if I always react to much on my newer gadget fascinations or not, but trust me I am watching ST300 videos on the internet for the last 25 days in a row. Everyday I filter my search to uploaded today and check mate got yours. Amazingly explained! I have ordered my one from Canada, my friend is bringing it for me next week, though don know if it will be in one piece as the bar is so giant he have to put the whole bar box in the cargo. May god be with me and my bar :( .

    Perfect video! Just one question, because I have the Q7F but I see you have put your soundbar a littlebit higher so you can place the soundbar closer to the tv (because of the tv-feet).
    Can you show how you have done that?

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for taking your time to watch my video I am so honored that you have considered subscribing and taking your time to comment😊 the q7f I have has a single bar stand that goes under the front. Depending on what region you're in the stands vary. I still don't understand why but they do LOL. The trick to the Soundbar is positioning as it uses Stadium sound. so you want about a foot to 2 feet behind you with a wall. also ideally to have walls on each side within let's say 20 ft. you never want to box the sound bar in as it is meant to use the environment around it to give you almost at Dolby atmos sound. they call it Stadium sound. And this video I simply placed my soundbar balanced perfectly dead center on the stand that came with the TV. But if your model has feet on each side you could lift the TV slightly and Slide the Soundbar perfectly under the feet making it directly under your TV. Or find a solid piece of material of your choice about 3 in wide and an inch thick place it dead center under the Soundbar and Slide the bar to the position that you want. Hopefully this helps a little.I want to thank you so much for your kind words about my video. Thank you for supporting my channel. Please let me know if I can help in any other way.

      So it I need indeed a massive material to lift the soundbar up.

    Greetings Jb from the UK! Fantastic video! Please could you help...We have been having issues with our Samsung OneConnect box HDMI ARC port and the Soundtouch 300. (In the UK it's port number 3 on the OneConnect box) So, If we connect our cable box directly to the 'HDMI Direct' port on the Bose 300 Soundbar, how do we then connect the soundbar to our Samsung QLED TV. Is it by Optical cable? Thanks Jb

      Thank you for watching and subscribing I'm thankful for your support and kind comment 🙏 😇💯 sorry to hear the arc is not working 😕 I recommend trying a new hdmi cable it might be the problem. However dont worry optical will provide full Dolby 5.1 surround sound. And yes that is all you need to do when you have any device plugged directly into the bar. The rest of the sound coming from other outsource like a bluray player will be done with optical just hit the tv button on the bose remote to change back to the tvs sound out. @@JbTechFanatic Hiya Jb, after several days of trying everything you said, within 24 hours I started to get all kinds of problems.
      I tried HDMI from cable box into HDMI Direct. ARC from Soundtouch 300 into ARC on One Connect Box. This was the result...
      1. Smart remote would not change volume up or down.
      2. In Settings/Sounds, only TV speakers were an option.
      3. On the Netflix app the sound was muted and only gave sound from the cable box. The only way around that was to switch off the cable box.
      In the end, Cable box into HDMI Port One on one connect Box. Optical from One Connect Box to Bose Soundtouch 300. Rock solid at the moment.
      I have read countless comments, that the Soundtouch 300 is not compatible with Samsung TVs. It's no one's fault, it's just that they both use different software in their HDMI ARC.

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly i feel like the people who are having issues with Samsung and bose via arc should just use optical. It sounds great and it one connection that i have not had one person say it didn't work. It weird because I own many Samsung tvs and bose and never have a arc issue. I will say with the 700 eArc and Samsung Q900ts8m and Q90t tvs i do find a much more responsive experience. I'm hoping now going forward that issue will be a thing of the past. Samsung to Samsung akg sound experience will always be the most feature rich brand to brand Samsung always makes sure that Samsung to Samsung works the best and has extra features.

      Of course anytime i will try to help 😉💯 it either is the app that has a problem with the iPhone make sure to go into the app itself on your phone and make sure all the permissions are turned to yes the location permission ect. see if that works🤔 if it doesn't it might be the wifi on your phone or you router? do you have any other device you can try to see if it has any problems? Troubleshoot each step try to determine what is causing the problem at this point I like we don't think it is the Soundbar itself but make sure the bar is not having any issues connecting to your Wi-Fi.

      Okay perfect two things you need to do. one thing is you need to go into the bose app and make sure HDMI CEC is turned on also do so in the TV. Then next you can actually set up in the remote settings what you want each HDMI port to do. example when you switch to HDMI port 1 it will turn on your cable box your Bose soundbar same with powering off have you tried these functions yet? Also who is your cable box provider?

      Thank you so much for your support. I'm honored that you've considered subscribing and taking your time to watch and comment.😊 yes you will still thoroughly enjoy your system without the rear speakers. make sure that you set it up as instructed in the video using your environment. with a wall behind 1 to 2 feet and on each side of your surround bar if possible. another trick is take your sub and put it right next to your couch or sitting area. this will give you a Dolby Atmos theater experience because the subwoofer will Rumble your couch and this bad boy sure packs a punch. you will love this system that I am sure then in the future if you ever want to upgrade and get the rear speakers you can and if not you don't have to. I think that's one of the beautiful parts of this system is that it lets you buy in pieces or not😉 thank you again so much for your support.

      Thanks buddy. I am an old guy (55) so this tech stuff doesn't appeal to me as much as young folks like you. So I have been watching videos like yours to have a good handle on it. I imagine it will work out fine when I hook up this weekend. I know this, it sounded great in a Best Buy, enough to make me pick above all else in the store, including Magnolia items. I did subscribe to your channel. About your health, I'm sure
      sorry but keep a good attitude. I will say a prayer for you tonight, in a few minutes actually when I go to bed. So someone in Georgia is praying for you.

    Hi Jb TechFanatic, like your review here. Just want to ask if the bass module is a must, or only the ST300 will already be spectacular?

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Samuel Ng first off thak you so much for watching and supporting my channel. I hope you will consider subscribing I would be honored to have you 😁. That is a great question and depends on your needs. Best way i can explain it is from bass to thunder. If you have a small room and you can get the Soundbar setup properly meaning about a foot-and-a-half from a wall and you have side Walls Within 10 feet on each side the sound bar does a extremely good job of producing base for a soundbar. Bose does have bass modules built into the soundbar. But I don't think I can say it would sound spectacular. But definitely spectacular for a soundbar speaking to bass only 😉 but for all other sounds the sound bar does sound spectacular. if the real question is if the bass module is worth buying absolutely yes. The bass makes such a difference after hearing it with the sub I almost couldn't recommend not getting it. And I know it's hard because it's very expensive but it makes a night and day difference. So to sum of my thoughts this sound bar is an amazing sound bar experience. But if you want rattling Bass something to just blow you away definitely add the subwoofer and maybe even the virtual invisible speakers to complete your 5.1 surround sound experience. I hope this helps a little bit and want to thank you again for watching please reach out if you have any other questions and have an amazing day.

      Jb TechFanatic many thanks for your prompt response! I have no reason not to subscribe to your channel, as you are so helpful and really spend your treasure times to make all these videos and reply your readers! And so I subscribed! Another question I would like to ask before I make up my mind. What do you think if I can only choose the ST300 without the AT300 and rear speakers vs some similar price alternative soundbars but with a sub, like the Yamaha yas-207 or the Sony HT-NT5?

      +Samuel Ng thank you for your kind words it means a lot to me. Before I can give you an educated answer can you please tell me about your setup and what is most important to you out of your sound system is it music or is it movies? Thanks again I look forward to your response and thank you so much for subscribing.

      I just bought a Sony 55X900E, so would like to get most from it and make the sound better by a sound system. My living room is small, only around 150 square feet, to the left is the window, and to the right extend to the dining area, so it is not a perfect square area to bounce the sound normally required by a sound projector. I don't consider to buy a true 5.1 as I don't want to hook up with so many cables and power cords. The setup should be simple enough, so maybe just a soundbar, and probably a sub with rear speakers. The sound system will be used for both TV and music. For TV, it will be for movies and really love to feel the bass and thunder as in the theater and PS4 games. For music, it will be for pop and classical, especially female vocals but not rock n roll... Hope you can advise me the best soundbar I should buy, and really appreciate your feedback!

      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Samuel Ng so I'm not sure if you know this but the soundtouch 300 is a 5.1 system they just peaced it out. but if you bought the Soundbar the subwoofer and the invisible 300 speakers it would be a full 5.1 true surround sound system. Also they just released a new software update that also allows you to hook up two subwoofers wirelessly pretty amazing. I really love this sound system if you got the cash to buy the complete system I think your environment should be good enough but definitely run the calibration IQ software that comes with the sound bar. the next bar I would actually recommend would be a Samsung he 950 k with the Dolby Atmos and next in line would be Yamaha. One thing that I just love about the Bose product is the way it uses the environment for stadium sound it's pretty amazing example if a bird is tweeting you literally hear it coming from let's just say the far right it's just nuts it makes it sound like there speakers where there is none. I really like this product a lot. Lol either way it just comes down to budget grab whatever product and then contact me and we can see about getting you set up properly. One feature I like about Bose is they don't make you buy the whole set. Don't get me wrong it's very expensive but they let you buy it in pieces so it's let's just say you could just get the Soundbar for now but maybe next month you can get the subwoofer and so on it's not like if you get the Soundbar you're stuck with just that in the future you can upgrade I like that. Most importantly for the Soundbar don't put it inside of a cabinet make sure it sits below the tv about a foot-and-a-half in front of the wall with nothing behind it and nothing blocking the sides the speaker's wrap around the sides and then the bass goes through the back so the back would bounce the base off the wall and give you more bass than let's just say if you stuck it out in the open 10 ft away from a wall. But all in all I definitely recommend the Bose soundbar system as my number one choice 4 Sound Bars and even for a lot of 5.1 surround sound systems. let me know if you have any other questions thank you so much for your support and your comments.

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It sounds like a setting issue. Do you use optical or hdmi for audio? If you use arc remember you need a Arc compatible HDMI cable. It needs to be plugged in to the HDMI on the one connect box label Arc and that one only. If you use Optical you must go into the TV menu under sound and change the settings of your TV to Optical out for audio. Let me know if you need further troubleshooting. Glad to help. If so I need specific system model and cable types and specific brands 😉

    Great video! Just purchased the Bose soundtouch 300 Soundbar and the Virually Invisible 300 Speakers. I held off, from purchasing the Acoustimass 300, because I presently have my Samsung TV (65Q6F-QLED) hooked up to my Bose 3.2.1. GSX III. Can the Acoustimass Module, that came with the 3.2.1. system, take the place of the Acoustimass 300? How do I combine the Bose soundtouch 300 Soundbar and the Virually Invisible 300 Speakers, to my present setup?

      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for watching my channel I'm honored that you have considered subscribing and have taken the time to comment. I appreciate you😊 sounds like you have an awesome setup. I have made two other videos completing the system out. This might be easier for you to follow than me trying to explain the details through messaging. here are the links. The first one is for the soundtouch 300 virtually invisible speakers th-cam.com/video/xlxHZK8euzk/w-d-xo.html
      th-cam.com/video/2btOaAAF4ns/w-d-xo.html
      As far as the acoustimass module from other Bose systems working with the SoundTouch 300... for some reason they will not connect with each other. It seems as if the software blocks that from happening. The link above will show you how to connect the virtually invisible speakers to the soundtouch 300. But if you want to connect them to your other surround sound you would not likely be able to use the wireless component and would have to just hardwire the speaker's in with the cabling that came with your 3 2 1. Thank you again for watching my Channel please let me know if there's anything I can ever do to help or if you have any other questions about connecting the virtually invisible speakers after the video😊

      Forgot one thing! How do I tie all things together and what takes presidance? (Soundbar 300, 300 virtually invisible speakers, 3.2.1. system and mySamsung TV (65Q6F-QLED)?

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct you should be able to use your virtually invisible speakers with your old Bose system if you hardwire them straight to your old Bose system you will not be able to use the wireless component. you would simply plug your old cabling into the back of the new virtually invisible speakers. Just keep in mind that is not the best method as the speakers are specifically made for the soundtouch 300 system.

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do not recommend doing that. though sometimes you might be able to get some things to work together it's never going to pull the true 5.1 surround sound. and you're always going to have echoing I would not recommend it.

After I followed all your direction I went to the app of Netflix and the only sound I can hear from Netflix is through the tv speakers. Thank you so much for your kind words I am honored that you took the time to watch my video and that you have considered subscribing thank you. 😊 this is an issue that some people have been running into. the way you have to think about it is each app is its own input source. So usually all you have to do is when you are on let's just say Netflix. Then go into your TV settings and then change the sound settings for HDMI ARC. Do this under each separate app that you use. Please let me know if this solution works? if not we can try some other things thanks again for your support!

    Hello,
    I have my Soundtouch 300 to connect to tv through Arc but keeps disconnecting from audio system to tv speakers? Do you have an idea why this happens? I believe all my tv setting are right. Does this has to do with the Bose remote control, Soundtouch app or something else?

      What tv do you have? Did it always happen? Or did it just start? Does it happen with your direct source connection as well as your Arc for all sound coming out of the tv?

    • @Vamo_Alla
      @Vamo_Alla 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JbTechFanatic hello,
      Thanks for replying and it is my pleasure to support your channel since you’re very helpful 👏🏼
      Actually, I was using the Bose hdmi cable and removed it because it was happening and still happening with the new hdmi cable. The new hdmi cable is suppose to be a good quality, It’s rocketfish.
      My tv is a Sony 900f and it didn’t happen when I first bought the Soundtouch 300, it was more later on this happens like a few moths ago. When you say if it happens with direct source connection, what you mean by that? And thanks. Well it works perfect through Bluetooth when pair with phone. I have seen the problem happening when watching regular tv and movies from nextflix and amazon and yes all this audio is supposed to be coming out the ARC and sometimes keeps switching back to tv speakers. It says audio system isn’t available.
      I went over all my tv audio setting and make sure all was fine, unless I’m missing something, I’m not an expert with technology 😊I’ll do my best.
      Actually I forgot to mention, when this happens I have to grad the Bose remote control press the tv icon on the remote and then audio comes through the ARC. I use Sony tv remote most of the time because the tv is supposed to communicate right away to Soundtouch 300 arc.
      Sorry about the long message and hope this gives you a better understanding of what’s going on. I will check those links you provided for the mean time.
      Thanks a lot and hope to hear from you soon again 👏🏼😊

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In this case it sounds like you're switching the Outsource of your sound and that is what is happening what I mean by direct source in is the soundtouch 300 has one input when you use this input the sound travels directly from the device as an example a Blu-ray player you can plug a Blu-ray player straight into the soundtouch 300 and that is a direct connection you can do this one with one item only that was what I was asking. To fix your issue it should be pretty simple login to the soundtouch app click on settings click on Advanced setup click on HDMI CEC change this to alternate on😉 also under Advanced Audio is where you can adjust in control your direct in connection that I spoke of earlier let me know if this helps please also remember you can get near the same sound quality out of optical since the max quality is Dolby 5.2😉 it's another option in the event one of your arc ports on tv or bar went bad😉

    Great channel, just subscribed. Couple of questions on the Bose SoundTouch 300. What’s your current speaker settings? Last comment you had bass all they way up, Center at +2 & VIs at +10. Did you set those after using the adaptiq? Did you use the adaptiq at all? Do you have any tips on creating a bigger soundstage when using the adaptiq? My couch to TV is about 10ft but really wide (condo set up) left wall is about 5ft away & right side wall is about 30ft away from soundbar (kinda open concept) Basically long & narrow. Hope that makes senses. Keep up the good work, Cheers!

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for subscribing I'm honored to have you. My exact setup is as follows. this is what I recommend for you. The soundtouch 300 Bars no more than 2 ft in front of a wall make sure nothing is behind the bar. Especially the bass tunnels except the wall. you're going to have to just deal with the fact that you have one side wall too far away but the 5-foot wall will be good but make sure nothing is blocking your Soundbar edges so that they can bounce off your far walls. next take your acoustimass module and put it into a corner behind you or next to you. preferably right next to your couch with part of it touching your couch and the other side about a half a foot on each angle of the corner this will give you a Dolby Atmos theater feeling and make your couch Rumble during the scenes pretty cool. Next take your virtual invisible speakers behind you of course about 5 ft in the air slanted diagonal to the ceiling. Set them about 10 feet apart from each other and pay attention to the left and the right speaker and place them accordingly. then run the acoustimass adapt IQ module once all of that is complete. Then go into the app turn your surround sound to 10 and your Center Channel to + 2 and you will be in heaven. make sure to change your output from your TV to Dolby Digital 5.1 thank you so much again for watching let me know what you think.

    • @robpingi

      Jb TechFanatic this is perfect! Thank you so much. I have a LG b6 TV. It’s connected HDMI ARC, seems like my only option for output is PCM or Auto. From what I read auto seems to be suggested when doing ARC HDMI. Unless your referring to another setting in the app?

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anytime glad to help. So I'm referring to the setting in the TV. Auto should essentially work. but basically you're not going to have the option for Digital 5.1 unless your Outsource is putting it out. so basic TV would not. what I recommend doing just to make sure after you're done with all set up. put in a Blu-ray and physically Play the movie so you know that it's outputting Dolby Digital 5.1 once that's going you should be able to change your TV directly to that sound Source. Do this just to make sure the auto is picking up Digital 5.1. But again in order to get Dolby Digital 5.1 everything needs to be up and connected including the rear channel speakers
      otherwise it is not compatible. but definitely let me know what you think. I'm excited to know if you enjoy

      Thank you so much for watching I'm honored to have you as a subscriber thank you for supporting my channel! I'm a little confused LOL. If I'm reading this right the one connect box does have an arc support which is an HDMI out also. The Arc support HDMI out can be used for audio or just as a regular HDMI port it will activate went on the other end you have it plugged into an arc supported HDMI plug. you simply would use the HDMI ARC support port to your 650 that will give you sound for anything connected to your TV. but yes it's the same technique. I'm here to help in any way just let me know.

    Instead of ARC can you just use an HDMI hub on the main HDMI that goes to the TV for xbox/ps4 etc?

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for watching my video. I am honored that you have considered subscribing and for taking your time to comment😊 the Bose has one direct connect port with 4K pass-through. So the sound would insense be directly sent straight into the Bose from whatever device chosen. Then the picture will just pass through the Bose from your Xbox to your TV. You will only get sound from that device with this method but yes it will work but your HDMI cables must be capable. Then of course keep in mind that this also uses Wireless or Optical connections for sound no arc needed😉 A good method if you take Xbox One S or X for example you can take your cable box plug it into the back of your Xbox then run your Xbox out right into the Bose. Then a hdmi to your Tv. This way you get 2 devices with one hook up😉Then maximize with optical if you dont have arc. Either way you should get a great experience thank you again for your support😊

    Hi, your review was excellent. So much details and depth. I want to buy a soundbar and I am in kind of confusion. I love bose and I have bise 5.2 satelite speaker setup. But I would like to know which is better. A Bose soundbar 300 with base or a samsung k950. Which performs much better. I appreciate for you help. Thanks and God Bless You.

      +AbDuL JaBbAr first off thank you so much for watching my video it mean so so much to me. I hope you will consider subscribing and helping me grow my channel😁 that's a great question and it's kind of difficult to answer. I really like the k950 and the k950 is cheaper and it has Dolby Atmos support. But having said that for whatever reason side by side if I was to choose one today it would be the Bose. As crazy as that sounds the Bose has just completely exceeded my expectations and is blowing my mind. So to answer your question I think you would be extremely happy with either however my recommendation goes to the soundtouch 300 with the subwoofer and the virtually invisible and speakers to create the 5.1 experience by the way you can now add two wireless sub woofers with the software update. making it a 5.2. Thank you again so much for your comment let me know if there's any other questions I can answer.

    Great video, everything is explained very clearly. Thanks for spending the time to do such as comprehensive overview with everything further clarified in the on screen text.
    I haven’t bought the sound bar or TV yet but will be buying soon. Just want to check-does the TV/soundbar have any audio sync issues at all?? My current LG TV and 5.1 system has a horrible sync/delay issue which also varies between inputs making it impossible to manually adjust 🙈
    This is the reason I am buying all new stuff cause it drives me nuts!
    Thanks in advance 👍🏻

      Thank you so much for your kind words and taking the time to watch my video. Thank you so much for subscribing and supporting my channel😊 I completely understand how audio sync issues can be an absolute nightmare. And to be perfectly honest with you I don't hear any audio delay whatsoever. It's funny though I remember when I first hooked it up the TV automatically was set to like 80% audio delay. Or somewhere around there. I was ready to box everything up and take it back LOL. But once I kick that to zero it's perfect😉 it really is a killer combo! Within the last 8 weeks I got the 2018 q9 Samsung. I've done a few videos on it but I decided to go ahead and hook another Bose soundtouch system. completed into the 5.1 surround sound with a virtually invisible speakers. And I have to say I am really really happy. I have two other videos on the Bose that might be of some use if you decide to go ahead and get one. also if you ever need any help you can reach out with any questions😉 Thank you so much again for your support!

    Hey again. I then messaged bose about an issue with the soundtouch 300 connecting to my Samsung 4k curved tv and this is their reply:Thank you for your patience!
    SoundTouch 300 speakers typically do not play well with Samsung Televisions via ARC as the version of CEC used by Samsung is different to other manufacturers. We would recommend using Optical as your main connection method if you continue to experience dropouts.
    Is this true??are you too experiencing this as well or is there a way to make sure arc connection doesn't affect the dropouts etc? Please help. Thank you!

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is a easy answer for them to not help you troubleshoot. I dont even believe them considering that I dont know of different cec. Cec is Cec lol. Anyone who ive helped and my video did not work for them bought a new hdmi cable and then it works. If you follow my video step by step it should work perfectly. If not try buying a new hdmi cable the one bose gave I found to be faulty many time just helping people with the issue. Also to be honest in this case due to the supporting formats optical will be just fine to use if it makes it easy. Thank you so much for watching and sharing your experience with Bose

    I just bought a Samsung q7f 55”. I already had the Bose SoundTouch 300. Everything appears to connect and work fine with the arc. But I don’t have any type of volume display when I turn up or turn down the volume. If I use the one remote it will show a receiver and the + or - but no sort of number or meter to indicate what level the volume is currently at. And if I use the bose remote the lights on the sound bar just flash when turning up and down. But nothing on the tv itself. Just curious for any suggestions. Thank you!! And btw your videos have been great and have helped me a ton to get most of my equipment set up and working like I would like them too.

      +Joseph pearson let me start off by saying thank you so much for the kind words and supporting my channel. thank you for watching my videos and considering subscribing😁 it's an honor to me that you do so. So about the volume control unfortunately you hit it 100% on the head. As of right now there is no number associated with the sound. As you stated when you use the Bose remote you just see the light on front of the soundbar and when you use the one remote you just get the little HDMI ARC symbol up and down on your TV. The only way to turn your TV up and down and kind of see where your volume is through the app that Bose uses😕 however I'm hoping that the next software update will fix that problem if something does change I will reach back out to you and let you know. I am very excited to hear that you have this set up as it is one of my favorites. I hope every day it puts a big smile on your face as you enjoy it. If you ever have any questions please let me know. let me thank you one more time for supporting me😉

      Jb TechFanatic Thank you for your quick response! I do have another couple questions from other videos you have posted.
      1. You showed that you can hit the 4 color button then hit info and it will show the actual display you are getting. But when I do that it the whole menu just disappears.
      And 2. When I am watching a UHD video or something 4K through the Xbox I can hit the home button and scroll over to settings and it will show HDR in the picture frame, but when I am watching something 4K or HDR through the smart hub either a 4K video on TH-cam or something 4K from Netflix or amazon prime. When I scroll over to settings it does not say HDR in the picture settings frame. Although it very much looks like HDR. If you could shed some light on what I may be doing wrong or what be happening would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks again for your great videos and I look forward to seeing more of them!!

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Joseph pearson so for the first thing remember that is a Smart Remote. so you need to make sure that it's controlling the TV and not the item connected in order to see what's coming in to the TV. it's probably closing it because it's now controlling let's just say the Xbox thus making that button the menu button. Since this video was made a new software update came out so now you have the benefit of actually seeing HDR in the quick menu like you stated including game mode finally. if you are not seeing HDR make sure the content is actually HDR not just 4K Netflix has both. But if it is actually HDR content or 4K HDR content then that means. No matter how good it looks It is not processing the HDR content. Two likely things are causing this one your WiFi or internet signal is not strong enough or fast enough to be displaying true HDR and 4k. remember this holds a lot of bandwidth and takes lots of speed. Wifi router and modem need to be of top caliber and the speed coming into your home. I recommend it 100mbs minimum. Sometimes even that is not enough because of things beyond our control are happening. Interference in the air. Of course that we can't see. Ot too many items running on your internet at the same time or just overall lack of performance. because everybody in the neighborhood is using internet at the same time etc. Make sure to reboot your modem and router giving it a fresh signal every few days. And last but not least the streaming app could be having issues that we don't know of. I hope this helps thanks again for the support. I got more videos coming soon have an amazing day

    This was a fantastic video. I recently purchased a samsung QLED TV and it will be delivered in a week. I was doing research on a sound bar and after watching your video, I just purchased a bose sound touch and acoustimass sub from amazon. I will be following your instructions closely when I get my equipment. I wanted to inquire if both the optic cable and HDMI cable have to be connected? If not then what is the difference between the two? Is one easier set up compared to the other? One of the reason why i purchased the QLED in addition to the great picture was the remote. I really like the samsung remote and want to use that only. Can that be a problem? Do I need to set up the bose remote even if I don't use it? thank you for your assistance.

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for your support and subscribing! I really appreciate your kind words! I'm so excited for you to enjoy your new QLED and Bose! You are certainly in for a real treat! To answer your questions. You do not have to have optical and hdmi connections. HDMI will always be better as it is capable of far superior sound quality. Optical is easy to use though and sounds amazing also. Some would prefer optical if they dont want to use a hdmi port up. Also a lot of TVs don't support hdmi Arc. Q7F does though😉. . I recommend upgrading either the optical cable or HDMI cable if possible. For whatever reason the cables that are provided have proved to be of very low quality. In many cases people that I've spoke with that thought their system was not working it turned out to be the HDMI cable. Its kind of strange there's a good chance you won't run into this problem. But I have seen it be a problem🤔 Yes you do want to program the Bose remote just once and you definitely have to use the SoundTouch App for updates and settings. I'm not sure why but if you dont program the remote at least once it gives some issues with the q7f. But dont worry you can definitely use the amazing one remote😊 I also have 2 other videos that might help on the Bose multi room audio and the virtually invisible speakers. Also several on the q7f and 2018 Q9F. If you want recommendations on picture settings etc. Be sure to go through my channel and check it out😉 Thank you again so much for your support!

    • @shak8186

      thank you for your quick reply. If I use the optical cable, would there be any differences in set up instructions as you outlined in detail in this video? Is it exactly the same set up with the same settings in the samsung QLED TV using the optical cable vs. the hdmi arc? I'm not a very technical person and have read horror stories online with the ARC and this system. If you feel that the sound will be just as amazing with the optical cable then I'll just go with that. Is there any particular optical cable you suggest? audioquest has a good reputation but are expensive! I'm willing to make the investment if its worth it.
      If I do try to go with the hdmi arc, what cable would you suggest? I purchased the audioquest cinnamon hdmi cables for my other devices (x box one x and cable box). Should I get the same? That cable has a direction that it needs to be connected. For example, signal leaving the xbox one x requires the specific side of the cable and the signal going into tv requires the other side of the cable. what is the direction of the cable for the soundtouch and tv connection? which is input and output so I can place the cable correctly? Thank you for your assistance.
      BTW, I'm a physician and just want to relay to you that you are an inspiration. Your comments at the end of the video meant a lot to me. I sincerely wish you the best of health and luck in the future and I appreciate your efforts to "help people and make them smile". God Bless you!!!

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Theoretically yes the setup is nearly identical except for of course picking Optical instead of HDMI. you would still want to set the settings the same. Also to the average ear you will not hear a difference from just using regular Dolby with Optical versus HDMI. The big difference would come if you were to use Dolby Atmos which is not supported by the Bose at this point yet anyway. Optical is not capable of running Dolby Atmos. As far as HDMI cables go you want them to be 4K HDR 18g GBS or better. I personally use monster black however. I came across the two pack at Sam's Club their marks member brand they are very high quality cables. you get two of them for twenty bucks and they're comparable to like hundred-dollar cables. pretty awesome deal. I do however recommending buying HDMI cables from a storefront if possible. the biggest problem is there so many fakes that claim that they are certain specs and they not. so you have all these problems with your TV or sound when all along it's just your cables. If you ever have any questions you can always reach out to me forever reason it gets too complicated maybe I can even give you a phone call and help you if you're in the United States. As far as my health and your kind words. It honors me that you have said that to me. it is awesome to hear that you are a physician and you are out trying to help people live. At the end of the day there's nothing more important than our lives. thank you for your service to people and your gift to heal as a doctor! Just to sum everything up try HDMI first but if it doesn't work Optical is more than okay you will be happy and still get great sound. As far as cables try to find the best price you can there's no reason to get ripped off. If possible go to Sam's Club and try out those HDMI cables.A couple packs of those will go a long way. And lastly I'm always here with any questions thank you again so much for your support and kind words. if you have any other questions please reach out to me anytime! Definitely be excited you are in for a real treat once you get your new products!

      Oh and as far as connecting your Xbox properly you want the HDMI cable plugged into the out going to the one connect box. Any of the one sided cables will have labels on them. so the TV label would be plugged into one connect box. One nice thing about the x is you could take your cable box plug into the HDMI in on the back of your X then take another HDMI cable from the out of the X to the one connect box. this way you use one less HDMI on your tv. Also the Xbox has a great platform for putting your cable TV together with your Xbox dashboard etc.

    • @shak8186
      @shak8186 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thank you. can you explain the one sided cable hook up between the soundbar and the tv. outgoing from the tv and into the soundbar or outgoing from the soundbar and into the tv. Are one sided HDMI cables better then the regular ones? I'm just trying to get all the information so the set up will become accurate and efficient. I'm be getting my tv and sound bar delivered on june 1. hopefully, i will not need to bother you once I do the hook up; however, i will let you know if everything works perfectly by following your instructions. your videos are awesome and your detailed instructions are a life saver. Greatly appreciate your efforts.

      Thank you for watching and subscribing I'm thankful for your support 😇🙏 the bar can be completed to make true Dolby 5.1 surround sound with sub and rears. Also fits nicely under a tv. Sort of a difficult comparison because it would be more comparing the two speakers to the bar as the sub will need to be extra on both systems to give you that boom. But let's just say we're comparing just the bar and the speakers almost a toss-up each great products💯 but if I was to purchase one product today I guess I would buy the bar because you can always build it out to a 5.1 or 5.2 system. but there's definitely a higher price tag to that.💯 th-cam.com/play/PLMdd-qroR8HVnekwKC2X0IHaqBbcIglaJ.html

      so I just got one with the acussmass 300, the bass and the environment are very good, but for some reason I feel like the dialogs and other sounds that involves people I feel like isn't that punchy and that strong, I feel like its very thin and not high quality, now it might be a way to fix that which I don't know yet since I just got it, what are your settings? everything is perfect just feel like the voices should be more punchy and higher quality

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Daniel Barroqueiro so there's lots of different settings. I went over in the video if you follow those two a T then you're good. after that there's two things you can do if you want more voice on the bottom of the Bose remote press the dialogue it looks kind of like a text message symbol button. This makes the voice spectacular trust me then when you want more bass and overall sound then hit the button right next to it to the left that says Bass. Space can also be adjusted by hitting bass and volume up or down the little flashing light on the front will either be all the way to the left which is the lowest and can go up all the way to the right which is the highest. Also do not forget you have to go into your Samsung TV in the settings and adjust Dolby Digital or whatever format you choose and also get rid of the audio delay. Also in the video look back about the app in the settings direct source versus Arc. But for now you should be able to just adjust your settings in the TV to the sound quantity you want like Dolby or DTS and then press the dialogue but if you want more voice let me know.

      +Tek MeOut thanks for your kind words. Of course I have a Samsung😁 also . And I highly recommend it and you can get it for a couple hundred bucks less with Dolby Atoms. I have Multiple rooms and sound systems and to many TVs lol. But I will do content as much as possible. Electronics are extremely expensive so going forward I definitely have to pick and choose my product I purchased for video. But this was highly recommended and asked for almost everyday at least a couple people a day private message me and ask me to do it on the Bose Soundtouch. With my health every video takes extreme planning so I want to get the biggest reach I can. Also it's pure out of pocket I'm not paid off by anyone to say anything lol. so I want to help as many people as possible with the most popular products that I can stand behind and love also. I will never recommend something that I don't love also. but at the same time I did not start this channel to bash products and start arguments with people. I want my channel to be all about helping people smile and enjoying something new and awesome. I never want to be the person that someone goes out and spend a ton of their hard earned money on something and is extremely happy with it. and then I bash it on my video. I'd rather just not do a video on something if I don't like it. I know I'm just rambling on and on sorry. But I have to say this... I was not expecting how amazing this product sounds I literally have to bow down to Bose right now my mind is blown lol and that is 100% real. Thank you so much for watching my video I'm honored that you've considered subscribing and have taken the time to comment😊 I would love to help you. I need to know if your Epson projector supports Arc or is it Optical only. Off the top of my head what would be the easiest thing is to run your Blu-ray player straight into your soundtouch using HDMI pass-through and then run your hdmi out straight into your projector and you would be good to go but with just bluray for sound. Unless you have arc then you would follow my exact setup instructions as far as how to set up a soundbar itself. Just follow my video instructions exactly except pretend that your projector is the Samsung TV. I have also went into great depth with this product I have two other videos explaining other features th-cam.com/video/xlxHZK8euzk/w-d-xo.html
      th-cam.com/video/2btOaAAF4ns/w-d-xo.html
      The other way would be run your Blu-ray player straight into your Epson and then connect Optical out from your Epson to the soundtouch or if it supports Arc you can run HDMI into the arc port in the back of the soundtouch.

    can we use the ark input for the XBOX One X? would that make a difference in the audio and video quality of the XBOX One X, as compared to the other inputs? i'm grateful for any information you can give on this question, thank you in advance.

      Thank you so much for watching and being a subscriber I'm thankful for your support😇🙏 The Arc support is meant for the TV to be plugged in to the bar everything plugged in to the TV including your Xbox will be using Arc if you are using your one Arc HDMI on your TV to your bar you don't have to run the Xbox right to it having said that if you're using the soundtouch 300 it does have one direct HDMI input that you can plug your Xbox right into that plug therefore getting a direct source sound right through the bar without any are needed everything will just go through the one HDMI from your Xbox to the HDMI in on the back of your bar is also allows for pass-through which means you can use the one port on the back of the bar for the loss of the port you're using for art on the back of your TV also here is my Bose video folder with all the information you might need on this system and the new 700

      Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words! I am honored that you have considered subscribing! I'm so thankful that you've taken your time to watch and comment😊 first let me start by saying I don't think you could lose either way you decide to go. I also have done two other videos on the soundtouch 300 that might help your decision and will help you complete the system. th-cam.com/video/xlxHZK8euzk/w-d-xo.html
      th-cam.com/video/2btOaAAF4ns/w-d-xo.html
      So Many Factors kind of play a role how I decide to place my surround systems. But to keep this decision easy think of it this way if you have the environment to utilize the soundtouch 300 Stadium sound and you want the wireless experience this is your choice. If your setup to run a full surround sound don't really care about the wireless soundbar experience. go with the 650 and hardwire your sub. But this doesn't even start to talk about what your budget is this of course could be another Factor. What I can tell you is the soundtouch 300 system has completely and utterly blown me away. I was not expecting the experience that I have had. Its so good in fact that I have purchased a extra system and expanded both of my systems to the full 5.1. With the new software updates and the ability to turn up the virtually invisible speakers to 10 this thing will rock your entire house with multi-room audio this is a system that you can continue to build on. I like that you can continue to add room after room with a soundbar. I hope this helps a little bit definitely let me know what you get and what you think. Thank you so much for your support!

      Jb TechFanatic thanks for ur prompt reply. But isn't the 650 also wireless

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they are both Wireless Systems to clarify I was talking Wireless Soundbar systems with Stadium sound. The 650 is a top-of-the-line system with top-of-the-line pricing. It is more of your normal surround sound experience Wireless. but the Bose soundtouch 300 is a surround system based off of a soundbar that's completely wireless. The 650 uses omnidirectional top of the line product. The soundtouch 300 because it's coming out of a sound bar gives it some unique abilities like throwing bass out of the back shooting sound left and right and in front but as far as Technologies go the 650 of course has all the latest and greatest. Sorry hopefully this makes better sense I am having treatment right now and feeling a little woozy😑

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also I would hardwire my sub in if I was running the 650 remember you're always going to get better sound out of hard wiring so when I talk about if you have the setup and room for a regular surround sound experience I actually would recommend skipping the wireless aspect when at all possible if it allows you to hardwire than hardwire. if you just don't want wires then of course Wireless.

    Have you tried the x900e? If you have what do you think is better the Q7F or 900e? A lot of ppl recommend the 900e because it has better blacks but the Q7F has the highest color volume, even more than OLED panels. If you have seen them side by side what one do you think looks best?

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Scott Walker first off I would like to thank you so much for watching my video and checking out my channel. I'm a small Channel trying to get started and hope you will consider subscribing. But I am humbled that you watched and I appreciate you so much. So I own a Sony and LG OLED a Q7 and a q9f and many others. I guess it's a sickness haha at least that way my wife says lol. But my absolute favorite TV of the Year by far is the Samsung q9. My Sony TV completely burnt out in 3 months. But I don't hold that against Sony it can happen to any technology product that's just fact. But I was going to do a video on it lol but I guess that's out the door haha. Anyway yes I extensively did comparisons. Tried different video formats and video game systems on all of my TV's. And to give you one hundred percent honesty. yes I would pick a Samsung over Sony any day of the week all day long. I'm not saying that because I dislike Sony because that is not the case. I happen to like Sony very much and love the PS4 Pro. they make a great product and they also use quantum dot technology and the picture is very similar. but day-to-day usage I felt that the Samsung just was a far better picture user experience and a better overall product. Of course this is just my opinion but this opinion has been developed not from Reading articles or listening to anyone else but from my own usage and feelings. I am one of those people that loves any Tech that delivers on what it promises. I believe people should be happy and buy what they love. At the end of the day they're the ones looking at the TV and watching it no one else. I know that every Best Buy in the United States pushes Sony like candy.if you can go in there for a vacuum they try to sell you a Sony TV. And if you even mention the word Samsung they basically throw a Sony TV in your car and rip the credit card out of your wallet to pay lol but they use the bashing method and I'm not a believer in that I prefer someone just says I like Sony it's a great product and my thought is that is awesome but I noticed a lot of the sales people put down Samsung say what a piece of junk it is and at the end of the day whether you love Samsung or hate it that's just not the truth. Anyway I'm just rambling on. truth be told I think you would be extremely happy with either TV. They are great products and great companies. It just comes down to preference I guess. I hope this helps you out a little bit and want to let you know again how much I appreciate you Happy New Years. Let me know if you have any other questions

    • @scottwalker8786
      @scottwalker8786 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's good to hear you like the samsung because thats the one that looked the best to my eyes even though everyone says get the sony, I did not know you had so many tvs why do you only use the Q7F in your videos? Do you think its better than the OLED?

    • @ssnator69
      @ssnator69 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I own a Q7 65" and l do not like it as much. The colors are too bright specially the red. What i wanted to say is I have the bose surround and i did not have to do all of the extra steps you did. The Tv recognised it and married it pretty well. I am wondering if i should go the extra mile and do these steps maybe the surround would sound better what do you think?

    • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Scott Walker I just started my channel about 4 months ago and honestly I didn't know where it was going to lead. I have very very bad health and hooked up to an IV 7 days a week 18 hours a day. so doing videos is extremely hard on me. I spend most of my life in bed or in hospitals. I need this for my soul hard to explain. so my point is when I got most of these TVs I was not doing you tube. And the technology moves so fast if you don't get the video out in time nobody cares about it. so if you're going to do a video you want to make sure people are going to watch and even when you think they're going to watch sometimes no one watches anyway. But if I'm going to spend insane amounts of money on all this technology so people can watch it and learn about it and I can help them it's got to be product that will attract people and it has to be products that I stand behind because I want to be really honest never biased or paid off. But example my q9 is extremely gigantic and mounted and it's not in an room that is filmable. I can't take it down and move it etc etc and all of that good stuff. then you take it even further the Q7 is an amazing TV it's much more affordable one of the best TVs I've ever owned in my entire life and I've had a lot. Plus it is going to get into much more people's hands than a q9 75-inch TV. And my overall goal is to help people I don't want to channel that just argues with everyone and if I'm being a hundred percent honest with you. Oled is not even close to what it's cracked up to be day-to-day watching is absolutely horrific the refresh rate is terrible the only time I ever even liked it was when i was watching a 4K Blu-ray. I Don't like it for video games because of burn in. it's overpriced I can go on and on but that's not what I want to do. I don't want to be that person that just does a video that just starts arguments and puts a product down that someone went out and work their butt off to afford and they're extremely excited about it and are enjoying it and then I do a video putting it down and I hurt their feelings or whatever the case. I want to uplift people and help them enjoy their new tech have a smile on their face this is the only way I know how to help people in the condition I'm in. that is where my heart is. that's the only reason I do TH-cam. I could not do an entire video on the Q7 and then do another video on the q9 and have enough content to make it worth it to talk about it you know. I mean what do you say this is a way better TV but it's more expensive same basic core features just better specs. I'm just kind of finding myself but this is definitely my passion and if I can live long enough to see it through. my plan is now when I purchase something I will film it as I get it and set it up. But yeah having having TVs stacked up in the rooms is not a good thing lol. All I know is I love the way it feels to get a piece of tech that you really want it's so exciting and fun I just want to help people experience that no matter the product or the brand. I appreciate you listening to me ramble

      +ssnator69 first and foremost thank you so very much for watching my channel it's an honor and I hope you will consider subscribing and helping me build my small Channel. I actually was trying to duplicate any problems I could find that people had online. I do this to try to help people so I was causing issues to find ways to overcome them. But yes from when I first did it to when I reset everything the sound and picture was actually much much better strange but it was cool. As far as your picture goes you can definitely fix those issues with the right settings. I have many videos on this TV check them out I have picture settings that would really help. as far as the red goes the calibration is -9r + 9b on the top and bottom portion in the white balance. That will get rid of any excessive red that you might have. also you can shut off the native color scheme and put it to Auto this will also help. If you get the settings just right you will love the picture it's beautiful and I'm a extremely picky person😁 also it's absolutely crucial to have a high-quality HDMI cable 18 GB s 4K HDR and never get cables from Amazon or Ebay that are no name they just don't put out a good picture and they can really affect colors. I just want to thank you again so much let me know if I can help you in any way ever Happy New Year.

      Jb TechFanatic I’ve got about 100 of the discs now, and the new movies look especially good. It’s the only way to be sure to get HDR and either the Dolby Atmos or HD master audio. I remember shopping with my Dad for Bose 4.2 “direct reflect” speakers, and the original Acoustimass system (woofer with 4, 2 speaker tweeters that pivoted)! They have always made primo audio equipment! I may get the 300 soundbar after your video for my living room. My Wife has been complaining about the dialog audio out of her (uh hm, my ;-) Sony X900E! So now back to disk I go and I'm happy I started because the quality is night and day difference and I have really fast internet. • @JbTechFanatic
      @JbTechFanatic  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +james rose first off thank you so much for watching and supporting my channel I hope you will consider subscribing😁 easy answer is yes it's both for sound and video full 4K pass-through. But how to make them both work and properly is not so easy to write but I covered all of it in the video. in the set-up portion of the video I show you how to make everything work. Just make sure to follow each step in the video so it works properly and you understand how to make it work through just the soundtouch or through all of the HDMI ports. To get the full experience you must use the app and turn on functions in the settings menu of the tv. Also in the video I explain how to watch video and sound from only the direct source plugged into the soundtouch. and I list the exact steps to do so through the bose app and assigning what button on the Bose remote to switch from Direct source only or all HDMI arc. Let me know if you can't get something to work after watching and later when I'm in front of the tv we can troubleshoot. Thanks again so much for the support and watching.

I just bought a Yamaha YAS 107 sound bar, hooked it up with optical cable, did installation very similar to yours, but I cannot adjust volume with Samsung QLED universal remote. Am I missing a step? The hdmi cable you pluged in the soundbar and tv arc port. Do you have to plug the xbox cable to soundbar and then to tv or simply xbox to tv and soundbar to tv? I asked this because the lifestyle 650/600 has 5 hdmi in the amplifier. So if you use bose amplifier with hdmi arc are the other ports on tv useless? Means the audio will only come from tv if you plug you xbox to tv(not xbox-amplifer-tv)

      +Ujjwal Shokeen that is the beauty of Arc it gives the ability to transport sound from all three remaining HDMI ports. The Bose has one port on the back so you do not lose a port so if you have four items you would plug three of them in the connect box and one of them in the Bose and all four would work for sound. I cover all of this extensively in my video including set up if you decide and need help. Including how to switch between Direct Connected xbox or Universal all ports. When you get your setup you can always contact me and I can help you have any further questions you will be extremely happy with this set

    I was looking to buy this one or the Sonos but am now strongly thinking more towards the Samsung 950 , only bad thing I keep hearing from poeples comments is that it doesn’t have dts , i hear you say you’ve also got the 950 wots you’re opinion on this am does it make that much difference in sound quality when watching films that are not in top quality recordings ?

      Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video. It means so much to me. I hope you will consider subscribing and liking the video if you have not done so already😁 So these are some great questions and I'm not exactly sure why people are saying it does not have DTS. he 950 has 2.0 Channel DTS it also has a benefit for Samsung to Samsung. that is called Dolby Digital Plus as well as Dolby Atoms. It definitely is a great system when you know how to set it up properly and turn on the correct outputs in your TV. Of course right now I have to say that the Bose Takes the Cake for me. I love it I'm so happy with it I can't even begin to tell you. However the Samsung is a great system and The Samsung is much cheaper. and it does have Dolby Atmos but to rest assure it does have DTS. but it's only 2 Channel but then you have Dolby Digital plus which makes up for the lack of. What I recommend doing is by a system from a store that has a easy return policy this way if for whatever reason you are not satisfied you can just go straight to the store and exchange it or return it. I think a lot of people assume things because maybe it doesn't pop up and when I say that if you're watching a movie that does not support a specific format of course you will not be able to turn it on maybe some people just don't understand that but it's definitely capable of decoding it. I want to thank you one last time for your support please let me know if I can answer any questions or help you in any way.

      I got the 950 and I love it, you will have to connect it the right way, that means thru the hdmi imports, so it will have passthrough. I had the Bose was having issues with it and I exchange for the samsung, and im loving it so far. dolby atmos is amazing

      Thank you so much for watching my channel. I would be honored if you will consider subscribing if you have not already😁 I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your soundtouch. Good news is it sounds like setting issues. Hdmi cec needs to be on in your TV. Then in the bose app change it to alternate on under the HDMI CEC. Then in the Bose app turn off HDMI direct source in. Next if you're using HDMI make sure that it is plugged into the arc out in the Bose and the arc HDMI in the TV. The next step is in your TV you need to choose what source the audio is coming from HDMI Optical or Bluetooth. Once this is complete you should have sound and have no issues with it turning your TV off. Thank you again so much for watching let me know if you have any other questions.

      Thank you so much for your support and watching my video I would be honored if you would consider subscribing if you have not already😁 that's a great question so remember when you're streaming from TH-cam or Netflix .... those are considered their own inputs just like HDMI 1 2 3 or 4. open your TH-cam app and stream once you're doing that go into your TV sound settings and switch over to HDMI ARC out then go to Advanced Audio settings and change to the format of your choice and turn audio delay to zero. It should be that simple if you continue to have the problems unplug your TV and your Bose from the wall for 60 seconds plug the TV back in first let it boot up then plug in your Bose give it about 2 minutes to completely boot up and try again .Thank you again so much for watching and for your question if you have any other please let me know.
