Brand new 2024 but two weeks ago… That is the sound of the 1.5 turbo… Along with the ticking noise… I went over to Ford garage and I asked someone to mechanics to pop the hood of the Broncos and I sweetly did that for me, so I can listen to the sounds, and they all sound the same…
I just worked on a Bronco Sport with this motor and it sounded way different. The turbo sounded mean when it was revved too. I wanted to see if anyone had recorded it in action, but this was disappointing.
Well did you think it would sound like a muscle car?😂. We have this engine in a bronco sport. It has more horsepower and torque than the 3.1V6 we had in our Buick! It’s very fuel efficient, far better than the ratings, and it’s got plenty of passing power. I was unsure when we bought it, but it’s been very surprising! That Buick v6 started knocking at 25,000km. GM wouldn’t do anything about it. Engine blew at 96,000km.
Nice work ford!!! It’s not just ford it’s all brands. The newest generation engines have way to much going on. It fine to upgrade certain things but this deactivation of cylinders crap is unnecessary. It’s already 1.5l 3cylinder. Blows my mind. But they the billionaires so what do I know

that ticking noise is from the high pressure fuel pump and is normal, ford puts sound dampening engine covers so the ticking isn’t as bad.
No it’s not. It’s from the Evap purge valve
Sounds like a sewing machine. But my heavy duty sewing machine has more growl when I goose it. 😂
I have one and it runs just fine.I get 36 mpg on the highway and 28 around town. It has plenty of pep and I have 10,500 miles on it without a hiccup.

I have one and it runs very well.Unlike my 2019 Mustang 5.0 with it's ticking noise.
My lawnmower sounds better , but it has a bigger engine 😅

A treadle Singer from the 1900's sounds better.
have herd nothing but timing belt problems , head gasket and oil pump problems. your putting a motor cycle engine in a car.
My 2024 is much quieter than that one, so far !
Not sure about this odd engine….
