Usually it's not an issue when someone is actually going the direction their blinker is indicating. No time for people who have no clue where they're going. That old lady is going to cause another accident later on. You may not see it that way, but erratic breaking and shifting without using proper signals immediately puts them at fault. Whether it was smart or not to try and pass around. False signaling is no different than break checking to cause an accident.

I don't know what the rules are in America. But in my country, in order to turn somewhere, you need to take the rightmost/left lane in advance or move as much as possible in the direction of the turn. 1) It is written in the traffic regulations with us. 2) This is taught everywhere, due to frequent accidents because of this.
With 30 yrs of experience working for insurance companies behind me if the adjuster worked for me and held the car driver at fault they would be going back for further training.

You can clearly see well ahead of him that they are stopped/or at least slowed considerably, and he tries to pass illegally on the right when another car could be pulling out of that intersection anyways and he'd run in to them. 9:40 liquor chronicles says he was doing 35 then accelerated to go around her, well the problem with that is unless his speedometer is off by 10 to 15 MPH, it's a lie. His speedometer shows him doing almost 50 in a 35 PRIOR to starting his pass. He shares a large chunk of the fault, because there is no way insurance found her at 100% at fault for that. So be honest with yourself and others my dude. And if you didn't know you were going that fast that's even worse.

I am a rider myself. Own a CBR 600RR & I live here in Cali & when I see videos like The Liquor Chronicles, I get upset. The bike community is a great one with great people and all. But, bikers like this need to change how they see the roads. I drive defensively & never aggressive. Yes my bike is quick but, I would rather get somewhere late than never. Stay safe fellow riders!

He says he saw left blinker. Which I don't see on the video, but sometimes it's hard to tell with these American cars that use the stop lights for blinkers. So he was thinking she would go left and there was good amount of lane on the right side, it's not that illogical that he would pass her on the right with his bike instead of waiting for her to turn. He should've decreased his speed though, not accelerate.

Protip: If you're in a wreck and someone is calling EMS, just let them come. They will check you out for free. It's the ride back to the hospital that costs money. Plus, if you're up and walking around and need a tow, the tow truck driver may be willing to cut you a deal and not gouge you for police rates!

I would've gotten off the bike at the gas station seeing a guy come towards me brandishing a blade, regardless if he's friendly. Biker would have no plan B to escape if crazy guy suddenly decides to charge at the biker, while still sitting on the bike. And even if the biker was quick enough to draw his side piece and shoot, there's still a pretty good chance he'd get stabbed. Knife attacks can happen in split seconds. In a situation like this, ALWAYS get off your bike to create some distance between you and the person brandishing a blade so as to give yourself a fighting chance and not get hurt. Be prepared for the unpredictable.

What.... the driver has their LEFT blinker on not right, the biker assumed the driver was turning left what didn’t you understand when you watched the clip??
My guess is that the insurance viewed the video, saw the left turn indicator followed by a right turn, and deemed the car primarily at fault. It's very possible that the biker is bending the truth a little by simply saying the driver was found to be at fault. With the phrasing in the biker's title technically it wouldn't be a lie if the driver was only found to be only partially at fault; the title implies but doesn't specifically say 100% at fault.
@@davo3666 Why yes, yes I did understand that. Do YOU understand, that in MOST municipalities, ONE lane of traffic is ONE lane regardless of the vehicle behind or in front. Thus, passing the car, in ONE lane of traffic would be a violation. However, there may be other circumstances, such as lane splitting being allowed, that might have excused his poor judgement. I stand by my statement that he's awful lucky he wasn't found partly at fault.

Senpai was just stupid lucky, that is some absolutely clinical mentally instable behavior. Was extremely naive of him to allow the guy to get close to him like that. If someone has a knife get the fuck out of there and probably call the cops, because it's only a matter of time until that turns into a bad situation. No reason for it, he's probably getting his rocks off by freaking people out or he's simply clinically insane and needs treatment or supervision so he's not just walking around gas station pumps with a fucking brass knuckle mall knife.... stupid ass situation.
I think he handed it pretty well. The first thing you should try to do is de-escalate the situation. Demanding action from the knife wielder could be asking for more trouble. Get friendly, diffuse tension, respectfully ask to put the weapon down. Biker did great imo.

Sure they should have used any type of proper turn signal but you are likely more a fault for at least one reason... speeding as per usual in these clips and add to that unsafe passing... passing in any scenario is just plain stupid. Any normal car likely wouldn't and just because you're on a bike doesn't mean you should thread the needle on a shoulder or cener lane.
I have had something similar to that knife situation happen to me before. I just drew on him until he left. The time to draw and get a shot off that guy could have cleared that distance easily and done some damage.

If my bike has been dropped or crashed it doesn't matter if it lays on the ground for 30 seconds more or 30 minutes more, it's not gonna get hurt any worse. I'd catalog my injuries first and worry about the bike second. It's not like picking it up will undo the damage that's been done.
Sorry buddy. The video at the end is the biker's fault. I was in law enforcement 12.5 years, I was a traffic accident investigator as well. It doesn't matter what blinker is on. The biker is required to maintain control of their vehicle. The video showed the car turning right and the biker was attempting an illegal pass, passing on the right side, and hit the car. I don't care what the biker said the insurance company said. Multiple violations on the biker and he'd go down as the at fault driver. You can never trust blinkers. If someone has a blinker on to turn, you pull out, and get hit because they didn't turn, that's on you. Some states are weird. If you are found at fault for even one percent, each driver pays their own damages. My state isn't that way. I can't see a situation where the biker isn't at fault. It wasn't in the video about the stopping, about to turn, and going again. I feel like if that was the case, it would have been included. Even if it was taken as fact, it still doesn't make the car at fault. The biker hit the car. It's that simple. There is a court procedure that is called summary judgement that says even if we take the other side as fact, which we may or may not, the evidence still supports our side and we want a ruling without going to court. That's that should happen here. The biker's insurance can say whatever they want, but it doesn't matter what they rule when it comes to court.

His speedometer shows him doing almost 50 in a 35 PRIOR to starting his pass. He shares a large chunk of the fault, because there is no way insurance found her at 100% at fault for that. Biker would have no plan B to escape if crazy guy suddenly decides to charge at the biker, while still sitting on the bike. And even if the biker was quick enough to draw his side piece and shoot, there's still a pretty good chance he'd get stabbed. Knife attacks can happen in split seconds.
In a situation like this, ALWAYS get off your bike to create some distance between you and the person brandishing a blade so as to give yourself a fighting chance and not get hurt. Be prepared for the unpredictable.

My guess is that the insurance viewed the video, saw the left turn indicator followed by a right turn, and deemed the car primarily at fault. It's very possible that the biker is bending the truth a little by simply saying the driver was found to be at fault. With the phrasing in the biker's title technically it wouldn't be a lie if the driver was only found to be only partially at fault; the title implies but doesn't specifically say 100% at fault.

Thus, passing the car, in ONE lane of traffic would be a violation. However, there may be other circumstances, such as lane splitting being allowed, that might have excused his poor judgement. I stand by my statement that he's awful lucky he wasn't found partly at fault.

Once it's on the ground and not moving it's not taking any more damage so why the rush to pick it up? The damage is already done.

@@danielguzman5284 - I like my bikes too, but I'm also pragmatic. If my bike has been dropped or crashed it doesn't matter if it lays on the ground for 30 seconds more or 30 minutes more, it's not gonna get hurt any worse. I'd catalog my injuries first and worry about the bike second. It's not like picking it up will undo the damage that's been done.

Sorry buddy. The video at the end is the biker's fault. I was in law enforcement 12.5 years, I was a traffic accident investigator as well. It doesn't matter what blinker is on. The biker is required to maintain control of their vehicle. The video showed the car turning right and the biker was attempting an illegal pass, passing on the right side, and hit the car. I don't care what the biker said the insurance company said. Multiple violations on the biker and he'd go down as the at fault driver. You can never trust blinkers. If someone has a blinker on to turn, you pull out, and get hit because they didn't turn, that's on you. Some states are weird. If you are found at fault for even one percent, each driver pays their own damages. My state isn't that way. I can't see a situation where the biker isn't at fault.
It wasn't in the video about the stopping, about to turn, and going again. I feel like if that was the case, it would have been included. Even if it was taken as fact, it still doesn't make the car at fault. The biker hit the car. It's that simple. There is a court procedure that is called summary judgement that says even if we take the other side as fact, which we may or may not, the evidence still supports our side and we want a ruling without going to court. That's that should happen here. The biker's insurance can say whatever they want, but it doesn't matter what they rule when it comes to court.

how do you know thats an illegal speed? and doesnt the other dude need to use his blinkers? yes he does. i can guarantee the audi would have been the one found at fault by insurance if there was an accident.
