In rare cases, static discharge gets built up and can ignite the fuel, or so I heard. Never seen it happen, but it must happen enough to warrant frequent warnings about it.

@@mikeythanos Honestly it probably is. But it's probably due to laws b/c in the states a lot have self-defense / stand your ground laws in place. While in Europe I've heard accounts of if someone breaks into your house even with a deadly weapon (knife) you don't have the right to defend your property or yourself and they suggest you run as getting into a fight with them and harming them could lead to you getting into trouble even though they broke into your house.
I ofcourse am not 100% sure on this, just going off of what i've heard. If anyone knows why please enlighten us, i am quite curious myself.

@@Hige-san usually the locking mechanism disengages automatically. When I fill up my car or bike I use the lever so that I don't have to keep my hand there. When it disengages and I hear the click I know my vehicle is full. So, not sure what happened to Brent there.

Getting in and out of your car might build up a static charge that could ignite the gas vapours though, that's a real but slight risk.

After watching way too many of these vids, I've come to the conclusion that the whole US "undertake on the right" law seems to cause more trouble than it's worth....
tbh you barely see any bikers fighting back, but often when they do fight back they usually win, like the video where 1 biker got yelled at by some random dude and then got headbutted into oblivion, or where a group of cyclist got mad and one came up to a biker and then he got smacked. I'm really confused why bikers don't fight back, most of the time they have the upper hand anyways
Because the ones that usually get into those kind of conflicts are probably on stolen bikes or riding without licenses and don’t need any more trouble than what they are already doing. So rather than potentially get caught on video beating someone and maybe beating close to death they decide to just move on and accelerate away….

Here in the uk , a 40 year old guy on a new bike jumped the que . I caught him up a mile down the road as it was damp in the morning on the bends ... and I went over on amber , which is perfectly normal ... he stopped at the lights . He then came up to my window in the traffic saying “you’re a p***y your mom raised a p***y . I ignored him so he tried to take my mirror off . He rode up the street and got off his bike came up to my window so I wound it down he started calling me names ... I was going to leave it but he punched my car as I drove off ....
Haha I got out the car and he wouldn’t take his helmet off . Little did he know I used to box as a kid ...I’m only 12stone and he was about 17 stone .
I beat the living sh*t out of him even with his helmet on . The whole street was gridlocked because I was weighing this guy in in front of everyone.
Some bikers need to be banged out and some drivers do too we’re all the same but they think they’re invincible with a helmet on ... haha not when I bost his face up he lay on the floor in blood . As I strolled to my car ... a skinny little white boy just showed him you can’t just bully drivers for no reason and you don’t own the road .
That was my one experience with an idiot biker .

0:28 I do feel so sorry. This also had happened to me once. I also do try to fill as much as I can and so I neaned over as I was trying to look into the tank when it happened and I had my visior opened. So I got it all over my face and Helmet and tanl... I was lucky a friend randomly came by and took care over the bike while someone brought me to the washing rooms as my eyes needed to get washed out. He was doing so great as the fuel is also not good on colors ect ... I had nothing but my Racing Windshield on my Bike turned white. I needed a new front Window shield thinghi as the fuel ruined it... 0:41 It is wowi how calm you were.... This guy runs over his red light , wearing a black Sweater in ghe dark - genious move and then pushing you down the bike. Every male rider I know would have burried him there.... I would have called the cops but I guess my friend or my brother would have... ... I guess they would have both turned off the camera at that moment..... No footage of what happened after the crash...
