Im after 1958.I grew up listening to all this songs.It brings back all the good and bad moments of those years.Look back cant believe it was a rough ride.This songs gives me energy to move on.Thank god.Canadian.

I am a North Indian. I thought vyjyanthimala was the only best classical dancer in India. After seeing this wonderful performance, I feel padmini is best in classical dance and her acting is great too. Her expressions, charisma,movements...all are perfect. Both of them are stunning but padmini ji is really awesome 👌

Actually both of them, padmini and mala were prime at this time.. so the production company hesitant if they will agree to this duo fighting dance.. It happened and we are lucky to witness it to date

I think they intended for Padmini’s dance to look more elegant and classical and Vyjayanthimala’s dance to looked more rushed and aggressive, you can tell by the music. Padmini’s outfit is also made to look more refined. It’s hard to decide who’s best when their dance styles were meant to be expressed differently. Nonetheless, they were both extremely talented.

I lost count on how many times i've watched this sequence. Graceful Padmini and thunderbold Vaijayanthi Mala. Both of them rock🤘. Now a days what people call dance🙈🙈 is dust of dusts compared to such a great choreography.

95% of the song was taken alone. The director didn't allow both actresses to dance together. They did without how the other had danced. They put in so much efforts for this masterpiece.. 🤩🤩

@@subhodeepghosh6200 It is g true. Tik the climax scene this song was shot separately. They both were competitor to each other on screen. both are equally and well trained exceptional dancers. I read at one point the director was highly confused as to how to end the song. It's impossible for one to defeat the other. Just impossible. Finally they shit it in a way that Gemini Ganesan cuts off the chandelier.. SS vasans daughter has commented here somewhere in the comments section about the time when she was there during the shoot and when vaijayantimala would boudir their home... Vaijayantimala herself has spoken in an interview

Yesterday only read a old magazine when directed narrated the song sequence both Vyathanthi mala refused that i will not win coz padmini is excellent classical dancer the same padmini also refused stating that mala is an excellent kathak dancer so director changed the song script by cutting the light lamp.. excellent heroines

I have had the previledge of seeing padmini's dance in 1972 and 3 decades later was in the audience and joined her at the stage to remind her of what she asked the audience in 1972 as she repeated same in 2002.
