I enjoyed watching this. I think we overtook each other a few times along the way, with just a minute or so between us at various checkpoints (both ahead and behind), but on that long, endless descent I ran out of steam a bit and dropped a few minutes!
Loved the climb to Whernside but hated the slippy flagstones on the descents the year I did it. My clubmate tries to run it every year and our Derwentside A.C. Flag was flying on the left as you finished. A good time with the heavy schedule of races you are working through. Go back again for a pb in 2023.
Well done. I did it going on 40 years ago. There weren’t any stone slabs for paths in those day. Not sure if they will make it easier or harder. Wanting to do it again next year at 65 if I can keep away from injuries. Good luck with your next race.
