Who do you know? How do you know them? And who do they know? -- three questions every professional needs to know. And don't be afraid to pick up the phone and call people. When you call people you know, talk about their activities, interests, etc. People like talking about themselves and not people they don't know.

I actually just graduated from BYU. So cool to see it on your list. I actually was chosen to compose for an animation capstone that was super fun.
I'm going to BYU right now as a music composition major! I've definitely thought about trying to get involved in some animation projects, I would love to do that.

I've sent around 600 emails and have had zero gigs. Lots of conversation with directors, but that 100 to one ratio is way off
There's a lot of factors beyond just sending the emails that can influence the ratio! I'll be doing a workshop soon on sending effective cold emails/messages 👍🏻
Hello Zach! How did you find the exact mails for the departments? Did you ask for them in the general mail adress of the website, or was it somewhere on the site?
I did searching online through the college sites!
