The refereeing in this country is atrocious. Every single week there is some new controversial decision that clearly should have gone the other way. The entire refereeing system needs a complete overhaul
It really annoys me to the point it now seem blatant biased decisions now…I can’t see any other reason behind some of these shocking decisions they continue to get so wrong,,even though they now have real time video evidence…take rugby as how it should be done,,,so why can’t football get it right??? As I said I’m now convinced it’s blatant biased decisions going for or against certain teams depending on where those loyalties lie for those officials

As a Villa fan, we're in this for the long haul and enjoying every step of this journey back to the top with Emery and the lads. Feom an end of season place spots. Generally speaking I agree 4th is a long long shot; 5th is a closer shot and 6th is more doable. But we're secretly aiming for CL and we'll be doing our upmost and thats all you can do.
Villa won 11 in a row at home, and losing Mings was probably the only player alongside Watkins and Luiz that really did stand to throw us into crisis. We massively missed him and are only just really sorting out the high line defence and offside trap coordination. Partially managed it cause Konsa is just so good! But yer spot on, don't expect top 4, top 6 and a final somewhere would be a great season!

He wasn’t even bad with Gerrard he looked bad because Gerrard’s system was terrible Mings was left completely exposed because the full backs just didn’t defend and Mings was left to cover for them.

I think some of the decisions at the weekend show how much worse we would be without VAR. VAR Is not perfect, but better than three match officials that get seconds to make a decision
True but the issue also is that these referees and linesmen are so afraid to make tough decisions they now use VAR as a comfort blanket. During the Liverpool spurs game, why isn’t the linesman making that decision that it’s inside and then arguing considering he’s supposed to have seen it with his own eyes.

Whereas Emery has had 34 games in charge at Villa and won 68 points, you don't have 34 games of just good form, a bit of luck and a kind fixture list.

want to start by saying that I think Konaté should have received the second yellow card and I probably would have been furious if it had been someone in a team that is against Liverpool. But don't forget that Young would have had the second yellow card earlier and Tarkowski would have received 2 yellow cards and there were several situations in the match where there would have been yellow cards that were not received in both directions so the level was quite high to get the yellow card so I has understanding that the referee does not give a second yellow to Konaté. besides, no one is talking about the obvious penalty Diaz should have received but didn't so that everything just went against Everton is a misjudgment.

Villa won't finish top four, nor will they for years, there's always a team that have a good year here and there.

Brighton were top 6 when we smashed them and West Ham would have been if they beat us. We bet Chelsea away, and in the last 12 months have done the double over Spurs, drawn against Liverpool at Anfield, Beaten Newcastle, Man U and took Arsenal very close. We are top 3 in the league for points in 2023. And yes you can't base everything off last season but it makes more sense than you basing your comment off an injury plagued game against Newcastle (at SJP), and 1 game against Liverpool (at Anfield) where we still hadn't sorted our defence out. Clueless.
@@MindSurf248 spurs and Chelsea were unusually bad last year and Brighton and West Ham are flip flop clubs who aren’t top 6, well done u got a couple of draws but I’ve seen nothing from this season that tells me city arsenal spurs and Liverpool won’t wipe the floor with u, your fixtures have been ridiculously easy, edit: in all credit u could do decent against them at home but away you will lose every game against those teams

Young didn't pick up a yellow for the ball kick as it was already over the line and there was a ball right there to use ergo no time wasting.
