well the whole universe has a frequency and everything else is at that same frequency so it would be impossible to measure teh air if it is moving at the same frequency as teh measuring device or soemthign like that. but for barry it would be possible to move fast enough to go through the universe, so moving in relation to time and space but not in that one universe,, but all this would only be possible if the multiverse theory is true...

Considering it's fiction, they can do whatever they want, but if time travel to the past was possible in RL, then what Thawne did by traveling back in time would have created what's called a causality loop. There would be no version of Barry that ever _wasn't_ created and trained by Thawne - no version of Barry that ever taught himself how to be a speedster. Came here after seeing Barry phasing a whole train just to remember how it all started. Right in the feeels! Noticed how the advice Barry gave Wally was an attempt to recreate Well's speech. Just like the time with bringing up Oliver's words of not running in blindly to Jessie. Flash sure knows how to pass on his mentors' wisdom

Because Mark Hamill is the voice of the Joker in probably about 80% of the DC animated stuff out there. While Hamill has never played the Joker in live-action he’s played him in countless voice acting-based roles like in Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, Justice League and even provided the voice for him in 3 of the 4 Batman: Arkham games. Hamill played The Trickster before he got the Joker role in 1992 (for BTAS) in the 1990 Flash TV show, and has really just combined his two similar voices for Trickster (Hamill also did voice work for The Trickster in animated material too) and Joker into one deranged voice that is always impeccably delivered.
They way Tom pauses before saying “it’s yours” makes me think Thawne was somehow syphoning off some of Barry’s speed (similar to how Wally in the comics can steal kinetic energy) and he was (hesitantly) letting Barry have some of what he took.
I love this episode because while everybody is busy rolling their eyes because of the "cliche" of The Flash pushing himself harder, both physically and metaphysically and shit why not even emotionally, nobody notices the largest plot point of not just this episode but the entire series. Wells is very obviously speaking from personal experience. He's either seen The Flash have the ability to do that and/or has done that himself. Everyone is transfixed on the monitors yet Wells takes his glasses off to be able to focus on the screen. Come on guys.... us diehard Flash fans aren't the only ones that saw the huge plot twist in Season 1.
