    Thank you for taking care of my buddy. We went to high school together and we're in ROTC together as well. His last name is pronounced kavaleski even though it's not spelled that way. RIP battle.

    Hi sir. I just wanted to say, Richard was my mother’s boyfriend when he died. I have his Purple Heart and the letters he wrote from Somalia to my mother.
    If you knew him, I would love to hear your stories of him. If this was your only contact with him, post-mortem, thank you for this new story and new information.

    I graduated with Richard. I’m best friend with his fiancée. If you only knew the real story. It’s posted online… he knew he would die that day.

    Reminds me of what happened to Pfc. Richard Wayne Kowalewski Jr in Mogadishu, unfortunately he didn't survive.
