Tim skipped over the part before "The six hours in hell" , Benavidez stepped on a land mine and was told he was never going to walk again. Wikipedia says "Getting out of bed at night (against doctors' orders), Benavidez would crawl using his elbows and chin to a wall near his bedside and (with the encouragement of his fellow patients, many of whom were permanently paralyzed and/or missing limbs) he would prop himself against the wall and attempt to lift himself unaided, starting by wiggling his toes, then his feet, and then eventually (after several months of excruciating practice that, by his own admission, often left him in tears) pushing himself up the wall with his ankles and legs. After over a year of hospitalization, Benavidez walked out of the hospital in July 1966, with his wife at his side, determined to return to combat in Vietnam." The guy was a real life Rambo.
Because people watch movies and don't think that they are completely accurate nor do they pay attention. During the end of Black hawk down it does mention that they received a medal of Honor but they're probably like who the heck is Michael Durant at the end of the movie when he was the one taking captive. Also the poem or Love letter that was red at the beginning of the end credits was Shughats Love letter to his wife.
Not exactly right , I believe Benavidez jumped out of the helicopter with just a knife, he rallied the men and was able to fight back. There is a great book out about him.
Never seen this host or guest & I think it's pretty solid but why not post whole episodes a week after you play them behind your paywall? This is pretty good $h!t!
Actually he provided more detail. Because the movie did not portray Gordon and Shughat having to use Hand-To-Hand combat as well. He also talked about Roy benavidez which every SF dude has to know. And the fact that he was able to talk about Roy benavidez down to the t tells me this guy was probably an 18 alpha or 18 Bravo. He has more experience than you And I. And I was 2nd batt 75th Ranger regiment. Every now and then we would get a taste of how they would do CQB, do CQC. We would do jsoc missions with them. We weren't the door kickers we would secure the perimeter.

Rangers and Delta force are such a force that compliment each other well. Makes me proud that my dad was a great ranger. A hero RIP
hell i new all this back in 1993
Why not post some of the content here and get paid from here too especially if you manage to get sponsers.
wow, never heard it told this way
and they are a bit more than just SF snipers (3:20 point), they were Delta Force snipers.
okay. he corrected that at the 5:16 point. I appreciate him clearing that up.
How does Benavides not have a movie about him yet???
Legends
It's not "Shughat". It's "Shughart"
They were Delta, and the body parts were delivered to our gate.

Nope.

Come on, in the title, give the man respect by typing his name right. Randy Shughart. Jeez.
Guy just watched the movie lol

These cringe modern SF jellybean merchants grifting off other's deaths.
You're a dork bro. Tim ain't no jelly bean, he's a ranger and a UFC fighter. He'd outshoot you, he'd outfight you, and he'd take your lunch money lol.
