A lot of people think that Araki wrote Fugo out of the story because Purple Haze was too overpowered but that is not why Fugo left. He was originally supposed to betray the gang and be killed by Giorno but Araki couldn't go through with that plan because he was going through depression and was unable to write such a sad story.

DP did a fantastic job capturing the terrifying power of this stand. The movements, fog effect, sounds and just how Abbachio explains it all adds up. It’s something you don’t get when just reading the manga.
What a truly golden experience.

Nah he was originally supposed to be a spy working for Diavolo and was meant to betray the gang. It was supposed to be him instead of Ciocolatta. But Araki changed his mind due to some personal issues.
He was going through a rough time with a friend so he chose to have him leave the gang instead of betray and later die but in my op I would rather have him betray the gang since it would atleast give more for his character

Everyone who says that Araki is lazy for writing him is a testament to how toxic anime fans really are. Man was literally going through a depressive episode and wanted Fugo to kill the crew, and wrote it out because he himself was shocked at what he was writing.

@@smickeyYT that depends on the safe distance really, Purple Haze only has an active distance of 5 meters from Fugo, and in this scene Giorno and Abbachio look like they are further than that from it, never mind what would happen in a situation like when KC was 1st introduced, seeing as the virus is destroyed by light
