those of you who didn't read this scene in the manga must absolutely check it out. that little *pop* after illusion dramatically block the hit, followed by nearly 3-4 panels of the capsule slowly cracking further and further is the most hilarious bit of almost-dark humor i have ever seen. also illuso splashes everywhere like a puddle of human mud
Illuso had the most grizzly death in this series more then anyone. Even if it was just a few seconds, he was rotting from the inside out and beaten to literal stain on the road. The fact he was dosed with more then just that one capsule made him even more infected cause purple haze punch broke another from his rush attack, and was turning into a sludge filled cesspool. U can even see his face be torn right off and he's still alive until he fall down completely.

SpeederClaw at 4:48 you can see that the virus loosens his skin, so when purple haze punches, you can see the skin peel over the jaw leaving it exposed. this was how it was in the manga and i love it.
Yeah. He’s reserved and sounds formal, but he’s just as much of a smartass as any Jojo. It must be because I read the manga so much that I didn’t notice it as well until I was actually able to hear a voice here.
I actually made a bet with someone in the comments that if Illuso's death got censored in the anime, they had to go to Jimi Hendrix's Purple Haze comment section and type "CMCYNIC WAS RIGHT" in all caps
I mean, I'm not disappointed in any way, this episode was much more gory than many others in the rest of the anime and they still only censored minor things. They let bones and liquid/ extremelly disformed flesh uncensored so imo props for DP. I didn't read the mango tho.

Illuso got it hard for being the least deadly of La Squadra. Like the other guys get creative with their powers, the most this guy threatened them was slitting their throats. while in the mirror world.
Rohan Kishibe and 『Heaven's Door』 do note that these assassin's targrts are usually non stand users. So executions inside the mirror is pretty effective.
Even if his stand is weak compared to others, he only needs it to be stronger than a person since he can keep the enemy stand out. Keep in mind, it took 3 of them to beat him and it still injured them by a good amount.
If you really think about it, Man in the Mirror is a combination of the best aspects of the Hanged Man and Death 13 into a far more practical stand. Man in the Mirror's ability is essentially that it forces every battle to be fought on Illuso's own terms and I think that's really cool!
The fact that Illuso can pick and choose what comes and goes to the mirror world makes his stand obscenely powerful, especially as he can pull someone in before they even realise what's happenend.
True, man in the mirror is one of the best assassin stands, grab someone, pull them into the mirror world, and kill them with your stand, no witnesses, no evidence. the only downside being you have to carry at least a shard of glass with you at all times

4:13 and onward made me fall in love with this series once more. I feel like I'm once again seeing Zeppeli challenging Tarkus to the background rhythm of Roundabout.
This was the fight that truly cemented for me that Part 5 was going to so much more different that part 4 and 3. Much more brutal, more violent, and so many cool stand abilities. This, in my opinion, is the true start of golden wind.
illuso doesn't get enough credit he had the resolve and everything, he put up one hell of a fight honestly the only reason he lost was because he had to cuz he's one of the bad guys. his arc is one of the most memorable in jojo to me for some reason
he lost for good reasons, however the main issue that i find slightly annoying is that they send one stand user to kill five stand users its pretty convient for interesting fight but it does come at the expense of making the group seem dumber then they should be.

he had the resolve and everything, he put up one hell of a fight honestly the only reason he lost was because he had to cuz he's one of the bad guys.
his arc is one of the most memorable in jojo to me for some reason
he lost for good reasons, however the main issue that i find slightly annoying is that they send one stand user to kill five stand users its pretty convient for interesting fight but it does come at the expense of making the group seem dumber then they should be.
The pure rage in purple haze's voice is terrifying within itself, not to mention the damage
I feel bad for illuso now his stand was cool and how they did it in the anime was even cooler
