I've been stress testing this site a lot to see what it can and cannot do well, so here's my findings so far - 1: It's very good at analyzing slice-of-life movements and dancing. This will probably be it's main use. Standing, talking, dancing, jumping, and face/hand stuff is pretty solid. 2: It's best when using full-body videos. 3: Things in the hands like weapons, books, shields, etc really mess the AI up. Try to keep the hands empty on your references if possible. 4: It's not nearly as good when it comes to fighting animations. Any motions that happen fast like punching or kicking will likely require some level of cleanup - But, it does provide great starting points to go in and manually animate/clean up what you get. If you're interested in trying it out for yourself, you can find the link to the site in the description along with a promo code that will net you extra free tokens - And, link to the demo footage of the girl dancing can also be found at the bottom of the description! Hope that helps, and see ya in the next vid!
I often find that fighting animations need heavy tweaking, even if the mocap was high quality It has to do with impact, timing, gesture and composition , there's only so much an actor can do.
Cascadeur has an AI mocap function and its very very good. Mostly because of the Animation Unbaking, Motion Cleanup tools and Autophysics. It makes life a lot easier. Im not fully sure if its free but it come with the indie tier.
@@artistify_3d429 When I upload the same animation both to Cascadeurs MoCap and QuickMagic's Mocap, usually the quickmagic is a bit cleaner. BUT, the cool thing is you can use Cascadeur to unbake and clean up the animations from Quickmagic, so it's a win win on both software since you can just use the best of both together -
@@ComplexAcealso the amount of info the mocap software/hardware reads per second only 30 reports per second? how fast is a punch? you will have very little data and the animation will either look buggy or software tries to interpolate which might look buggy
This is just _incredible._ Video to 3D animation will completely burst open the doors of animation to independant folks. People will be able to produce 3D games so easily now! I'm waiting for a free local solution though.
"Which you can only use for personal projects". I've pulled the site apart and can't find anything in terms of license agreement for the free tier that restricts this. Where are you seeing this?
"it's completely free" few seconds later "you get 50 token per month and each animation is like 5 tokens" JOKES ASIDE 50/5 = 10 animations. it is not a free tier, it's a 'try out our product' tier and the starter tier (at the time of writing this comment) is $10 per month with 150 tokens (or 150/5 = 30 animations) which seems actually fine for a lone developer (like me). Because realistically speaking, if you are working on a game alone (programming, art, modeling, sound and so on, which is what i am doing right now), you really don't have time to model (let alone animate) as many in a span of a month, so 30 animations a month seems really good for a single developer. Also the downside(s) mentioned in the pinned comment, especially number 4, seems to me it could be avoided by slowing down the footage before hand or capturing in slow mo (if your recording device of choice is capable of doing that of course). Should be worth keeping an eye out, who knows it could get better than it's competitors.
How about recording fight anims in slomo? The problem is, that a punch or kick for example is really fast, can be less than a second. Let's say you record fight anims in high fps (60 or more), then you mocap it like a regular 30 fps clip, so you get more detailed keyframes. Then on playback you just speed it back up. Can someone try this? I think this should solve the problem.
I've paid for the annual subscription and now when I login it loads with a blank page. I'm not sure what's happening. It worked fine when I initially registered and signed up for the subscription. Do you have any ideas as to what's going on or can provide any help.
I believe it’s a traffic issue, I’ve informed them that the page is blank now, they are going to work on getting it back up, try open the page in about 30 mins to an hour, and if the problem persists, I’ll bug them again -
If it has trouble with role detection, try moving the video preview at the bottom around, and then click role detection again, and try from that new point. Sometimes that happens especially if the video is a bit cluttered and has a lot going on -
From what I've tried, there are other options that have slightly better quality, but they require a lot of "know-how" to set up and figure out. This solution is just straight-up "easy" and "fast". You don't have to know anything about models, rigs, weight painting, retargeting, or frame data to use this. Just upload and and download the results. So the barrier to entry is super low, and it also has the added benefit of offering facial and hand MoCap as well as body which is very insanely generous in my opinion -
I’ve informed them about this just now, I think it’s a traffic thing, try again in about 30 minutes and if the problem persists, I’ll bug them about it again -
"just start retargeting to your character" yeah as if that doesnt take hours LOL. This whole shit is still pointless. Not to mention this fascination with FBX. IT sucks. It sucks ass, and it never loads right on other platforms. It constantly loses your textures. Yet this perverse interlude with uploading to Mixamo then redownloading and reapplying textures is accepted as 'normal'. No. It is not normal. GLTF is the only format that seems to work universally yet every site forces this FBX crap. Why? It's pure masochism. Modelers have some kind of eternal need for inconvenience. They get off on poor user experience. And don't even get me started on Blender. Until I'm saved from ever touching that hell spawned interface, I'm never going to animate again.

@Ikxi Glad we have Cascadeur now, it's very easy to get this kinda thing done fast with quality

Yea, me too, can't be bothered to pay for something like this.
We learn something new everyday
and I love it
it's more like : "AI learn(s) something new everyday" right now. Quite literally.
this is game changer :3 thank you for information
Mixing this with an Auto Rig Pro retarget and it's gold.

It's in the user agreement, "Intellectual Property Clauses" 2.2. That said, I doubt they can prove you used their tool

At least, you get to try it before you buy it. That's better than having to pay upfront to find out it sucks.
thanks for the insight
You can do this with Cascadeur for Free. The free version supports AI video to motion.
Yeah $10 a month and then still spend hours retargeting because you can't upload your own models. No thanks.
Love you bro, Can I get Your Playlist "Designs"
lol, literally just look up “Toyota / Hyundai AutoShow Racequeens” and you’ll find it all
So cool!
Great tutorial
PERFECT!! If compared to MOVE AI, who is more efficient?
I've found it better than move ai and rokoko vision. Pretty good with feet planting. The other 2 have feet sliding all over the place
@@robertdouble559 WOW!!! Thank you so much.
How well does it capture things like animated characters? or stills?
It’s pretty good at anything humanoid - Never tried stills, I’ll have to test that next time -
Yes this is for my work 🎉
Could you please make a full tutorial? Showing every step in real time? :)
Lol, it's literally the exact same, I just cut out the time it takes the website to translate the animation which is about 5 minutes -
🔥🔥🔥

Hey bro do you have a tutorial on retargeting the output to a rigify rig?
Can't we download the fbx, and retarget it to any mesh in UE5.5?

Hello does know if this works for animating two characters in a scene? Example if I wanted to do a combat takedown should I be able to rig 2 at once?

Cool
Everytime i try it, it gets forever stuck at 90% on Role Detection and not just with one vid, but with anyone i try, any clue?
If it has trouble with role detection, try moving the video preview at the bottom around, and then click role detection again, and try from that new point. Sometimes that happens especially if the video is a bit cluttered and has a lot going on -
You must use Chrome, or it won't work.
@@RikkTheGaijin I was actually using chrome yet, but i found out it was a poor connection trouble, but thank you guys for helping! 👍
How much vcoin does it cost to generate a waifu mocap?
It's about 5 coin for a 10 second clip -
How well does it deal with multiple people in a video?
It only records 1 person at a time unfortunately -

It's almost useless until I can transfer the mocap onto MY OWN custom metahuman character
For custom stuff, you'd have to retarget it first, but once you do that it should be fairly quick after the first time -
can i upload my custom model?
We are working on update this feature. Now we do not supprot
the free variant is only for your own projects?
who else sign up and now teh site is down?

This is best ai mocap i tried deepmotion but it worse like it have more features none of them work well😂
Anyone do retargeting by parenting nulls, if any knows a faster way would be great 😅
Thats all Ok, but can we get full vid of this asian? :3
why is it only unreal engine 4 T.T... means i still have to retarget animations after I pay for the damn thing.
