She's looking much better already. A good wire brushing / wheeling and she will be ready for a nice coat or 3 of paint. 2 tone mix of electric pink & baby pink I reckon for Mrs Mancaves tractor run!
Make sure those brakes are 100%, it's Mrs mancave sitting in the seat on the day. Just the jet wash made a big difference, when she's painted will look super. 🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜
Great video Adam, you can’t beat pressure washing something that old and crusty. I have been telling you via the screen to clean it off for weeks 😂😂. Great result.👍
Look at that you got old wacker bass plate when I was boy use go work with dad work for wacker for 18years roll on 2025 be nice to bump into you at show 👍👍👍
Was thinking last night you could find a deacent ancor tree etc put a chain around to the tractor and give the old girl a shunt could realese the clutch well worth a go i reckon best of luck tho
Looking good and running well, Petrol engine were made by Triumph/Standard 1200 cc the same engine in the Triumph Herald 12/50. Got to love a little grey Ferggie
@@NorfolkMancave The early ones may have the Vanguard 1700 engine, I was taking to a Grey Ferggie owner I am going back about 20 years ago he told me his was powered by the Herald engine but that might be the 13/60 1300 cc and not the 12/50 1200 cc
Love the videos. You very nearly were the subject of.." I had no time to bid my friends farewell,The traction engine wheel upon me fell" Yes I know its a tractor.
The light little TE Fergy wheels with no water in 'em were no trouble to swap around when you wanted to set her up for different row spacings. But 18+30 wheels from the bigger Masseys with cast centres and water ballast were a real stagger and sweat job! 😱😉😊
It amazes me how much corrosion and barnacles you have to contend with. In central Kansas USA the sun bakes the paint off but it rusts comparatively slowly.
Do us all a favour Adam, sort the camera lens please 👍 on the outro it was blurring the picture cos of the reflection 🪞, apart from that, great video, ah aaaaar 👍
Amazing how things look so much better things look after a squirt of high pressure water! Just a word of caution on those brakes. If the old Ferguson uses the same seals and bearing carriers as the Ford Dexta, Dexta 2000, 2000 and 3000 Pre-Force, and Force 2000 and 3000, along with MF 135, you won't be able to change these seals in a DIY setting - ask me how I know! Even worse, when the seals are changed, it's necessary to shim out the bearing carriers for correct end float. If the brakes will clean up and work as they are, it'll save you a heap of money, and a world of hurt. As long as the oil loss is minimal, and you can keep the "weep hole" clear in the backplate, you may be okay with it, but if you do go down that route, it's worth whipping the wheels and drums off once in a while to check for oil getting on the linings. If the linings and drums stay clean and dry, then it's happy days, if they are drenched in oil again, you'll need to seek the help of someone with the craft, and the tools to do the job.
Either im still pissed from new year or im seeing double 😂 you missed a bit Adam na only joking mate lookes so much different now got to get your self some cleaner I use gunk wash spray it over melts the grease spots right off or oven cleaner if real stubborn lookes like you got a rear seal gone easily done tho just undo the row of bolts behind the hub pull your half shaft out new seal and your away no need to drain oil neither just jack one side top work so far are you going to paint it I would put a loader on it be handy for moving engines around the yard
Is it possible to have first gear selected and then start the engine. Or is it the gear lever started model ?. Press the clutch down as you do it, just might free it. If it was mine I would take it to a few tractor shows, just as it is after washing etc. Be a really good talking point I think and who knows what odd Fergy bits you might get offered. Must be loads of stuff out there in barns, sheds and nettles. Thankyou.
Looks nice just as is mancave, now it’s cleaned off….with all that family history you have with it maybe just do all the necessary repairs and servicing then just wipe it over with an oily rag?
all the best to your good lady and we are all thinking of her 👍

Um interesting. I though these had the 1.7 engine as fitted to a Standard Vanguard?? I could well be wrong tho.
The Ferguson ted was 2088 c.c. and 28 h.p.
Made from 1949 to 1955

You can’t beat a jet wash video
Ferguson did make a device to jack up the rear wheels using the hydraulic lift arms. Jim in NZ mrs man cave will need brakes.
She is looking so much better after a good clean up. Can I please have some information about the 4th engine start up. Can't remember witch video 👍🏻👍🏻
I noticed you didn't cover any of the electrics before washing tractor down.
Good to see a Norfolk man with his Dunlop wellies on.
(Other wellie boot brands are available)
Try Bunch Bears Shed , how to fit a sure seal on a te20 , tea20, etc. On rear axle.
That little Fergi will be around 2 1/2 ton lighter now without all the hedgerow growing on her She were more like a MOSSEY ferguson LOL
Proper Job
You don’t show us you undoing 6 bolts but let us watch jet washing tractor. And a very good job you made if it.

@@theoztreecrasher2647 So were my Nuffield 10/60, David Brown 996, and my Multifarmer. (I use a tyre company now.)
If you tried that today up here in Scotland the old girl would be getting ice blasted 😳

Is it me or is the front tracking seriously toe out?
wash well done get years of growth off.
Brakes last way longer if you keep them well oiled! 🤣😂😅
Look more like a 20 now great gob er

Sorry Camara lens is broken
Am I right i thinking that this old tractor has had whats called a flash over paint job back in the day.?

It would have made for an interesting will it start video after it being jet washed!
It will be the half shaft seal
Roll the credits
I know he forgot lol x
Hi Adam you need to get your phone sorted as the picture is repeating itself with a cracked screen or something but a good video
Sorry one of the lens is broken
Do you have a screensaver on your phone screen & if so, is it scratched ? Anything with direct or oblique sunlight seems to spoil the image 🤷🏻♂️
One of the camera lens is broken
i see the tracking is not great as the steering arm is bent
I saw that to.
Now you can see what you are working on .
Have you thought about spraying her pink , for charity runs and fund raisers ??
