Thanks for a great quality concert clip. About the Eagles retirement; Yes this is the last tour, but not the last concerts at all. The band is planned to continue Long Goodbye Tour into 2025 and beyond. Dates arent announced yet. Europe/Australia may be next, and more US.
I'm 35 years old and have been a literal life-long Eagles fan. The first album, in CD form, I ever purchased for myself was The Eagles. After missing the last of the original US dates, I was pretty upset that I would have to chalk these guys up as one of my absolute favorites that I just didn't get the chance to see live. Little to my knowledge, they announced more tour dates, and my wife surprised me with the best Christmas gift I've ever received. I will be seeing these guys on March 9th in Chicago, two days before my 36th birthday!
I'm just an old baby boomer. One of my favorite bands. This is what music was like when . We were young and free. Best bands , hot rods and music . They keep us young at heart. Love you forever Eagles. Always ,always fly high guys. Take care and God bless..... 💙🔥💙🔥💙🔥💙🔥💙🔥💙
I'm only 17 and the Eagles have been my favorite band since I can remember thanks to ny dad. We're going to see them on March 16th and I'm SO excited!!! I just know it's going to be the best concert. I don't really know anything by Steely Dan but I know its going to be amazing seeing him since my guitar teacher talks him up so much.
Yea you'll have a great time ! The setlist is available online for the tour if you want to familiarize yourself with the songs steely dan will be performing 🤙
@@TheEnthrallingMrJ i’m just now seeing this, Steely Dan unfortunately wasn’t able to make it to open because his wife had a medical emergency the day of the concert so Vince Gill opened for them! It was SUCH a good concert from seeing Vince Gill to actually seeing the Eagles. Best concert I’ve ever been to!
@The302Kid I'm a huge Steely Dan fan as well. When it comes right down to it though, the promoters are in it to make money. Do you think the Eagles would open for them? We see it all the time these days... former big name acts teaming up to make money. Do you think Steely Dan headlining a show will make them as much as going on tour with the Eagles? I don't. Not for a minute...
@@jjherrera4567 I understand the money aspect that you speak of. However, regardless of money, I still think that Steely Dan is just better. You say that Steely Dan would make more touring as an opening act to the Eagles vs touring on their own? I beg to differ. No one sounds like Steely Dan….No one.
@The302Kid I agree with you. They were and are unique. I'm really into contemporary jazz, so it's easy for me to appreciate how special they are. That not withstanding.... they were never as popular as the Eagles were. That's just fact
You are very lucky you got to see this iconic band, Eagles. I saw them first in 1973 and have seen them multiple times since at the Forum and other venues around LA. It's great that Glen Frey's son Deacon is performing in his late father's place. Check out California Jam in 1974 to give you a feel for what the original group was like.
Wow! I'm amazed at how much you captured! Bravo! They were all over us at their last show in Charlotte (when the Doobies stood in for Steely Dan and were *fantastic* ) and we had to sneak even a second of footage. Going back to see Eagles again, this time with Donald Fagen. ❤
Have been to several Eagles shows the last several years and the security was really trying to keep audience members from shooting video of the show. Especially in the front sections. Did you notice security actively looking for and stopping people from shooting videos? Going to see them in New Orleans in a few weeks. Can't wait.
Any concert I go to, I try my best to get as close to the front as possible. Probably about 90% of the time im able to sit in the first 5 rows & ive never had security try to stop people from recording the show as much as this show I attended. Luckily they only spotted me like once trying to record, told me to stop, then they left me alone. But I did see a couple people get constantly told & some kicked out for recording the show. The way security worded it - it was a "special request from the band members to have less than 30 seconds of the show be recorded."
Timothy Schmit sang with Steely Dan when they recorded this one. From an LNP interview: "I remember my first Steely Dan session was singing on 'Rikki Don't Lose That Number," Schmit says. "I had been a real fan of theirs from the beginning and when I did that I said, 'Holy crap, this is going to be on the radio.' And it was. "Those sessions were great because they were challenging. I was up to the task but you had to be spot-on. You stayed until you were spot-on -- not unlike an Eagles recording."
@@TheEnthrallingMrJ 100% it’s my 4th Acura and the ELS is insane. Have you listened to the Eagles Live at the Forum album in there? It’s like a concert on wheels man!

Any concerts in the near future you plan on going to ?
I AM SIMPLY SHOCKED THAT STEELY DAN OPENED UP FOR THE EAGLES?!? STEELY DAN IS JUST AS LEGENDARY AS THE EAGLES...PERIOD.
Why? The Eagles are #5 on the most selling albums of all time. There was a time Steely Dan wouldn't even go on the road....
@@jjherrera4567 To me Steely Dan is just better. Better Music and better Musicianship.

Taking my wife and son tomorrow. It’s been 20 years.
