  • Have you ever felt out of place before? How hard would you try to assimilate? Or would you not assimilate at all? Would you stick to your traditions and values?
These are questions that the Muslim Cameleers faced in the middle of the nineteenth century when they came to Australia. Find out who these Cameleers are in this episode of Muslim Atlas

Massive information is missing in your research.
YES the Afghans were the first Muslims to arrive in Australia and YES they played a great role in establishing this country.
However in doing this they lost their Muslim identity.
I have had people who visited Northern territory and very remote areas. They say they have seen ppl their who only have some Muslim name but know nothing about Islam- not even the basics. They said to my friend who visited them from Sydney that “we don’t know anything about Islam, Our forefathers were Muslims”. They are buried now in Christian Burials. The reality is that the Afghans didn’t work on their deen and that’s the reason their generations have gone away from Islam.

Indeed Australia's History has a multi-cultural aspect during its transformation to the country that it is today. Migration appears to be a human quality where one's tribe contributes or exchanges with another and thus some kind of progress is made and then there is the mixing of genes. I think that most people find comfort within their own families and communities and then it is the relative few that venture out into the world and learn from their experiences of the differences. Therefore I wonder the thoughts of these past Afghans travelling to this distant land with the isolation of the Australian inland amongst native Aboriginals at a time that they too were experiencing great change within their lands. What was it like back then where these Afghans had come from within the Arabian Peninsula, with the cultural diversities, and opportunities, quality of living and family life? Perhaps you might do a video on the cultural aspect of diversity history of your homelands of Islam so as to bring a better understanding of your origins and Islam to the Australian peoples.

    • @m.j.4927
      @m.j.4927 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Brothers, great work but you’ve done very very basic google searches for your info regarding the Afghan cameelers.
These pioneers deserve the proper recognition for their amazing efforts / contributions to connecting modern day Australia.
All of this whilst they were STILL steadfast and true to their religion.. This contribution is one of the most important, crucial and fundamental reasons why Australia is the way it is today.
Their services along with their camels helped the European convicts in establishing this land with infrastructure at least 50 years earlier.
It was said that the Australians had they stuck to their European methodology whilst living on the land.
Look into it., the route of the train that runs from the western coast of Australian to the northern coast of Australia is named after my people.
That railway line is name in honour of the Afghans. It’s called ‘The Ghan’ today but previously known as ‘the Ghan Express’. Short for AFGHAN.
Please create a new video with more accurate, in depth and informative information regarding the importance of their presence. Thank you for understanding.

    They were all Afghans.
It wasn't that the Afghans had immigrated to India, it was the British that had annexed large parts of Afghan lands namely today's KP province and Baluchistan in Pakistan and merged them into British India. Today they are two of the four provinces of Pakistan.
India and Afghanistan had a natural border of Indus River between them. Anything west of the Indus was Afghan and anything East was India.
That's why the skin tone and features change so dramatically once cross the Indus River.
Baluchis and Pashtuns of Pakistan and Afghanistan are Aryan / Iranian people and in no sense whatsoever Indian.

Atheists n people alike, with all their knowledge n advancement r still not able to fulfill this challenge of the Quran, "O men! Here is a parable set forth! listen to it! Those on whom, besides Allah, ye call upon, cannot create (even) a fly, if they all met together for the purpose! and if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. Feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition!" Ch:22, v:73.
