Lately, my van, my trusty companion, has been testing my patience as it continues to billow smoke from its exhaust. 🛢️💨 The excitement of hitting the road and exploring new horizons is clouded by the persistent issue that seems to linger like an unwelcome guest.

ive had nothing but issues withnmine too, i feel your pain. Mine broke 1 day after purchase. had it since September, ’21 plate and its been in 3 times and recovered once.
Touch wood since removing the adblue system it's been running fine. Done 3k miles no issues. I'm now at 149, 000 miles, so b4 160 I'll get waterpump and timing belt done.
@@BOTG_Adventures so I picked mine up in September on a Friday started up the Monday morning to go to work and I had the blue issue where it said it couldn’t be driven after 1500 miles. At the time it done 31,000 miles and still under manufacturers warranty. Citroen booked it in for repair very quickly and the repairs were due to take place one month later! Anyway it was the ad blue injector which was 40 I believe it was stuck open. Then had trouble free driving for about three months and then a load of forts came on. It’s an automatic and was revving really high throughout the gear range, even when switching to manual still couldn’t get it to change gear and keep the revs down. Cruise control/speed limit wasn’t working, lots of breaking faults too.. i’ve booked into Citroen via their app for service and diagnostic repair. Attended the garage on the day given and they had no knowledge of my booking even though I had confirmation via email. They did on the booking and took it in, although they said they were a charge for each full if it wasn’t down to warranty.! Found the fault and it was with a speed sensor on one of the wheels, but they had to order it in. They said they would call me when the part was in, although they didn’t I had to phone them and they said yes it came in this morning. So I booked it in for repair for the Friday of the same week. I called the garage on Thursday afternoon to see if it was okay to come down and leave the van there for the appointment for the following day to be told I had no booking! Long story short they didn’t have an engineer for the following day anyway as they were off until the following Tuesday. and finally about a month ago, fun limp mode and I had to be recovered to Citroen in Blackburn. Apparently the DPF felt was full and there was a leak between the oil sump and fuel pump which they put down to degraded oil, makes you wonder what they do on the Service as it was only a couple of months prior that I had a full service! Anyway, I cannot fault Citroen Blackburn they were brilliant with me and even managed to get most of the bill paid for under warranty as it has just gone out of warranty. And there was really quick at turning the whole fall around and restore a little faith back in the main dealer. I just wish I wasn’t over an hour away from the Blackburn garage! I keep saying to myself the next time I get a fault with this vehicle, I’m chopping it in for a brand spanker, probably end up going back to Ford 🤦♂️
They are worth speaking to especially if its a DPF issue or add blue
Has you oil leverel changed, ie lower? is it clean around the turbo oil inlets and outlets, it look like you're getting oil onto or into your exhaust pipe from a leak, is the airfilter new? is the oil filter not leaking around the seal? is there oil patches under the van when left over night? does the oil dipper look cloudy?
Oil dipper clean, oil cap no cream so not head gasket. Fluids are all OK and no leaks. The rest I'm not qualified to say. It's been in garage 3x now and Mon of them have fixed it. ;(
Bad Air filter creating low pressure sucking oil through the turbo seals?
Bloody hell matey that don't look good. Hope it's somthing daft and fix it cheap from what I remember at my local Peugeot dealer its was 80 pound just for a diagnostics before the job had been done even. Its fuxking daylight robbery. But they have you either way as you have to get it done.
Go buy one of the diagnostic machines and you will understand why they charge cos they are not cheap at all
What was the issue in the end mate? How many miles ya van done? Looking at get one would you recommend after this issue? Vid are pucker mate btw
Van has 130,000 on clock. I am releasing a video this afternoon explaining it all, seems it was a remap. TY for asking.

My mates transit does exactly this.
Sometimes you cant see when following him, then a mile down the road it just stops smoking and runs fine.
Smells like paraffin when it does it.
Got to be a regen fault surely.
Yes mate was an ad blue issue and outlet pipe was blocked. It gets worse ya mate needs to get it sorted. Or it will break down like line did and AA had to rescue me.

@@BOTG_Adventures oddly, his 2012 transit doesn't have adblue. Yet it seems to be regen with same symptoms as yours.
So if no ad blue, we are stumped.
@@DDLovett Basically the inlet or outlet pipe was clogged. Give openroadcars a calli at Apperley bridge ask for Paul. He sorted mine. Drop my name.
It's possible you may have an adblue injection fault.
had the same on a Peugeot 308 GT line 2.0 BlueHDI, required a new ad blue tank and ad blue injector, come to 1300 quid all in from Peugeot direct... Will never get ad blue again!
Ad blue has been removed.
Was it the adblue system at fault then? Also, if it'd been removed/deleted, then you'll not be logal on British roads and I don't klnow if it will affect your van come MOT time, in the same way that EGR deletion/bypass is now a fail on the test.@@BOTG_Adventures

Hi I would buy yourself a cheap Topdon AD 800 BT or Launch code reader and check your engine management system yourself. In the long run that tool will save you 100's ££££.
Any engine management lights on ? coolant/oil levels ok ? what does it smell of diesel engine oil or anti freeze. Is your Ad blu level ok ?
No lights on, fluids all OK, smells of fuel all the time gives me a sore throat driving it. Adbkue was removed before I bought it.
@@BOTG_Adventures I would not drive it at all, I think you have a right headache with this one as whoever removed the adblu system might have messed it up. The overfueling could be so many expensive things, get a proper diesel specialist who knows the adblu and dpf system to look at it. otherwise it might cost you an engine to repair. I don't think its a cheap easy repair btw.
If the warranty is gone don't take it to a main dealer, they will absolutely spank the arse off you!! Does it smell like diesel fumes, oil or is it steam?? There is a diesel specialist in Halifax called Feather Diesels you could try??
Smells of fuel all the time I can't have windows open I always get a sore throat.
It could be a lot of things, my mate has an MOT station and his awkward diesels get sent to Feather, they are in Elland. If it is diesel fumes it could be injectors, glow plugs etc - you'd be wise to get an independent to check it out I think - main dealers will just swap bits till it works and hand you the massive invoice...!!@@BOTG_Adventures
