What a beautiful camping spot by the water. When it's hot here in Australia, being by the water always makes it feel less oppressive. Our summers are often 35c, all the way up to 45c ( yuk). Fans, cold drinks, sitting in the water ( lol), and insect screens...ahhh..the joy of summer.

what a peaceful camping spot, the landscape is spectacular. Not seen pizza cooked that way, interesting, and that chestnut cake looked scrummy! Tell me, does the 'air con ring' on your neck work? When I'm at work and I start to get hot, I put my hair up, it seems to cool me, but maybe this would work even better🤔DUCKY
The 'air con ring' is fine for me, but I think it differs from person to person. If you don’t mind if something is on your shoulder and feel a bit of wind noise it might be OK. DUCKY code received, thanks!

Good morning, Little Camper! Mama Crow checking in. Everything is just DUCKY here at Crow Station 1. I'm so glad you're back . . . your outings always bring me peace. Thank you. 😌
Here's an update on what's happening here, at my backyard bird sanctuary: We have five mourning doves that visit now. The crows continue to call for peanuts in the morning, and the ravens remain relatively quiet, just hanging out. There are numerous smaller birds that frequent the various feeders: finches, nuthatches, juncos, grosbeaks, towhees, and others. We are not seeing as many Stellars Jays this year for some reason. Perhaps the larger birds are a bit intimidating to them. Oh, also we have a couple of turkey hens that regularly bring their brood over to forage on the ground for seed that drops from the feeders. It's fun to watch the babies grow. At first, they were very small and very fluffy; now they are approaching half-grown and are looking more like adult turkeys.
My communication efforts with the crows and ravens continue; I'm learning their sounds and have been able to have a "conversation" with one particular crow by emulating its clicks. And, my corvid friends seem to be getting more trusting of me; they respond more readily when I call, and they venture closer to me.
Congratulations to Captain Ducky and his beautiful fiancé! They make such a cute couple. The name "Florence" comes to mind for her. (I won't be disappointed or offended if you choose another name...no worries about that, LC!) Anyway, it's nice to see you! I think a previous commenter nailed it, LUCKY DUCKY. Congratulations to the happy couple. You have chosen a fantastic location for R&R with a great field of view. Monsoon rains threaten our homebase. Flooding was about the thickness of a fingernail from entering the front rooms. We are safe and sound. To those outside the home, we appear to be just another family in the subdivision. No one has any idea who I work with. Our eight (8) year wedding anniversary is fast approaching on the 29th. Prospects for going out do not look good unless we hire a boat for transportation.That is OK, we will use the disaster as part of our cover, people will suspect that we are just another family struggling with the flood. We are well stocked with supplies and drinking water. Thankfully, there was no power interruptions but we were prepared for that occurrence. The backup plan is enjoy this as family time together and watch the flood waters recede. Travel safely, we will be here ready if you need backup in the Philippines.

Jackery explorer 1000 is the one I have. $450 is exceptional price because I bought at retail price which is more than twice. I checked Amazon Japan now and it was $546. Yes, my Jackery powers my induction burner. Thank you for the information！

@@little-camper things are going well. I wrote yesterday how the week was, I just don't think you have seen it yet. Maggie has until September to continue her summer fun. She got roller skates recently so she has been skating around when ever she can. She cracks me up with all the knee, wrist and elbow pads covering up her limbs. When I was a kid I lived in my roller skates. I skated all over San Diego CA and Santa Fe New Mexico! It was one way to get out of those awful corrective shoes and braces. It really helped to strengthen my poorly legs and feet. And I did it without all the knee pads and safety equipment. I was great at skating. I never got hurt bad but my kid sister broke her left wrist, twice in two months. She got one cast off and turned around and broke it again. I believe she broke it the second time just to get out of washing dishes!🤣🤣🤣 Just kidding. She didn't do it to get out of the chores. But it sure felt like it to me. What kinds of activities were you into when you were a boy? Did you do much camping as a kid?I did a little but Sarah went to a Christian camp every summer till she graduated highschool. She also camped in the back yard most of the summer. Swimming was her sport of choice and she was on the Varsity swim team for five years! She was recruited onto the team in eighth grade. She even broke a school record her last year! Well things look clear in the neighborhood. I think Maggie and I will go on a food finding mission today and go to the store for groceries. That will keep us busy for a little while anyway. You stay alert and safe till we hear your next report! 😊😊❤️
