Kooks in my area, school clubs compete in rubiks brand competitions haha. But u dont go for averages or singles, u just try to solve as many as u can with ur team
how to mod your Rubik's brand speed cube to make it faster in 3 easy steps:
1.- Get a sledgehammer.
2.- Smash the cube with the sledgehammer.
3.- Buy an actual speed cube.

idk how, but my rubiks brand speedcube is actually decent, corner cuts a tiny bit less than most speedcubes, and i can fingertrickit really well. I lubed it, and yes it is actually rubiks brand.

I'm actually waiting until Rubik actually get into speed cubing, like lets be real, Rubiks is the father of rubiks cube, and its disappointing seeing the father brand having the crappiest puzzles and also probably really expensive for their performance, you can literally get like a QiYi Warrior W or Thunderclap for a cheaper prize and way better performance, i cant wait until Rubiks company really gets serious about speed cubing, they are the father of the cube, they should've been on the wagon with the other companies on this since when.
Dante Delgadillo probably won't happen because things are just too expensive here and where those cubes are produced it is much cheaper to make a good 3x3
They have now actually. At Paris WC, they unveiled the New Rubik’s speed cube in partnership with GAN using their v4 core and GES Tensioning system. It’s pretty nice, but still uses tiles so that irks some people. I personally like it, but I know a lot of people don’t really.

For some odd reason, my TH-cam glitched and displayed an earlier part of the video than from what I was watching. I could tell because the sound of a cube being messed with was playing while his hands were there showing the box at the beginning. I'm sharing this because it was pretty funny how he was describing the cube but the video was showing a box. Picture that. "It turns pretty well" *while touching and presenting a cardboard box.

The Rubiks 2.0 cubes are actually are adjustable, if you manage to take a piece out and fully disassemble the cube, if you look under the center caps you can see that the tiles are removable. You can take them out with a screwdriver or something (UNDER THE CENTER PEICE)
To take an edge out you can also use a screwdriver or something

there are two versions one is adjustable one is not.
I think another reason why the 2.0 is better for newer cubers is because most Rubik's (brand) cubes are in physical stores unlike other better and cheaper Cubes which are in online stores so if newer cubers want new Cubes they still have to pay for shipping which I think is a hassle. But anyways good vid!

They did make a 2x2 SpeedCube, but go for the MGC for being cheaper and a safer bet

The Rubik's Speed Cube is actually now available in stores but with different packaging and it comes with a few accessories! They are the Rubik's Lube, Some Springs, Instructions, Flat - Head Screwdriver, And A Stand!
I have an original stickered Rubik's cube! I got it a few years ago. All of the stickers are falling of though. It does not turn very well until you line it really well. #likeyourowncomment

u have to take out a center cap by using a pocket knife by poking it between the black part and cap and it shows a Philips screw
I think you're confusing the speed cube with the 2.0, they look very similar, they both have tiles, however the speed cube is the one that has removable center tiles. Also, even if you were to remove the center tiles of the 2.0 cube, unlike the speedcube, it does not contain screws, but rather, plastic bits that hold the centers on.

The Rubik's brand speed cube was my main for a few years, and I loved it. I got a Shengshou Aurora for Christmas last year, and hadn't used my Rubik's cube in 6 months. I recently picked it back up, and it got caught every few turns, it was too loose, and it was overall much worse than I remembered. A few months ago, I would've disagreed with everything you said about it, but now, I couldn't agree more.
I purchased mine about a year and a half ago and its good to know that it wasn't only mine who had catching issues because at the time, I watched loads reviews on it and couldn't find any that had the same problems as mine did. Now I've sanded down the centre pieces so they are now more rounded than squared and shaved the corners slightly. Also, I lubricated it with 10cc from the cubicle and changed the springs to Lan Lan springs and it is now amazing. I would never use it as my main, especially not now with the fantastic cubes that are out now like the Weilong GTS but I would describe it as a heavier Zhanchi with slightly less corner cutting.

Ahhh, I remember the Rubik's speedcube. First puzzle I ever got, about a year ago. I'll keep it to remember how I started but MY GOODNESS I didn't know how bad it was when I got it.

I got the rubiks speedcube a while ago when i started cubing. I lubed it back then, and just picked it up today. I found that it had 45 degree corner cutting with medium tensions! It also turns very well but it lacks the reverse corning cutting. I was pretty surprised.
When I had the 5x5 it popped and now I lost most of the pieces bc it was like 3 years ago

I have to admit I used to take apart my rubiks 3x3 but when I got a better one I learned and its so much fun.
Once I sprayed the rubiks speed cube with some spray from cubikon and it seemed to turn pretty well then

The non 2.0 rubiks that you have you can loosen it. I’ve done it. All you have to do is get a carpenters blade or something very sharp and skinny to pop the middle caps off and loosen it with a philips head screw driver
I never thought about Rubik's brand cubes like that, it really does change how I feel about them

For the Rubik’s cube v2.0, you can actually “tension” it. Pop out the white and yellow tiles, and you’ll realize there’s screws inside (only for these two colors only). Loosen the screws, and it’ll be better in corner cutting and it’ll run smoother too! Works really good! If you only have a Rubik’s cube as main, definitely try it out!

I've actually been able to take off a corner and take apart the new 3x3 and once you take a piece off you can pop a tile off and you can tighten and losen the centers

I have a rubiks brand puzzle and you can take it apart easily, you just need to turn the u face 45° and twist and shimmy a corner out, then you want to end by putting the corner back in, after you do it a few times, it gets really easy.
jr, any tips for tensions? I always tension my cube and it's perfect, but then after some time messing with it my tensions get ruined? know to prevent that? thanks
What brand of 3x3 do you think is the most quiet to use? I work in a call centre with super sensitive mics so while I'm allowed to work on my cubing, right now I have to do all turning under my desk or risk my mic picking it up and annoying my coworkers

You can change the tension in the non speed cube, it is just very hard. I did it with my first cube. You have to pop the plastic cap off the center by sticking a screw driver into the puzzle and find a small tab underneath the centers. You may need to take it apart first.

Its really easy to take apart the 2.0 you have to put a corner in the middle and try r and it basically pops and lube and put it back together
I use to have the original Rubik's 3x3 but idk how i lost it when i moved houses a long time ago. I warn it out alot, and if i remember correctly, me playing with it alot made it turn smoother and better than when u first take it out the box. I had to fix some of the stickers because they kept coming off. I was so devistated when i lost it.

6:17 I have only popped out one edge in the whole time I have had mine, it was the red-white piece. I was so nervous of breaking it that I looked up a tutorial on how to reassemble it. Yes, I did. While I was waiting for the part to put the edge in, I just put it in somehow.
I have a Rubik’s 3x3 2.0 and I adjusted it you gotta take it apart and there’s like a tiny latch or get a knife and put it between the tiles and there is a stew you loosened and I did it it turn better

i learned how to solve a day ago, And i’ve been solving and practicing non stop. I got a solve in a minute and 36 seconds, Ik it’s not very good but i was super proud of it
If you get the 3x3 speed cube that has Rubik's lube new washers, and also springs. I used a little bit of the lube and then used more. It 180s and is actually OK if we're you I would try to get it!

Rubik's Brands are actually pretty good.
All you need to do is replace the core, the screws, the springs, the edges, the corners, the centre pieces and the stickers. And also add some washers.

I got the Rubik's speed cube as my first "speed cube" because I was a noob and I got the special bundle thing which has a FLATHEAD screwdriver and some "speed lube" (being a noob, I just used all of it right off the bat by just dumping it in). And also came with extra springs and washers (lost the springs, don't care as the core is impossible to open). It's an ok cube and has sentimental value to me as my 2nd cube overall, and first speed cube.
i started on this 2.0 3x3 and I actually managed to lube it by taking it apart but tbh it felt like I was breaking it when I was taking it apart.
If you can't take a cube apart or take the stickers off, just use a solver! Recently, (Not really recently) a 4x4x4 solver came out by grubik's. They also have a Skewb solver.
