Brian Kelly played a lot of freshman in that game. Some of which played big roles. With the class coming in behind these young players, LSU looking pretty solid ahead
Whit Weeks a NFL Linebacker. Dude play like Luke Kuechly…bro was everywhere with 18 tackles
Dude! As I am watching the game, I told my wife the same exact thing! He really really does
MVP of this game!
I was at this game. My friend broke his wrist rushing the field but we still had fun
My brother was there, and I could hear the crowd on TV. It was great to hear Saturday Night in Death Valley like it used to be.
Damn
There’s simply no other person who should be getting the game ball other than Whit Weeks. Good lord brother had a hell of a game
Tiger Stadium showed up BIG TIME. It was a literal factor, like Death Valley of old.
This game reminded me so much of the '14 Ole Miss game when #3 OM went down to Baton Rouge led by Bo Wallace and walked out of Tiger Stadium with a loss, just looking completely shell-shocked.
Ole Miss has GOT to be sanctioned for the embarrassingly obvious faking of injuries. It's gotten completely absurd.
Ole Miss - the nation's sack leader - came away with 0 sacks in the game. LSU's much-maligned defense had 6.
Stop me if you've heard this one before: Ole Miss football starts off the season dominating lesser opponents and has their eye on the prize, believing themselves a legitimate title contender, and then... 61 years and counting since the Rebels last SEC title.
2014 ole miss beat Bama and A&M . This was a miracle win for LSU and so was that.
@@ryanryan9895 2019 National championship. Your turn
@@ryanryan9895 it was a 3.5 point spread in a game of #13 vs #9, far from a MIRACLE win.. ole miss may be the better team this year but they arent that damn good
Ole Miss has once again been WAY overhyped in the preseason. What's Kiffin's record vs ranked opponents?
@@ryanryan9895 Nothings a miracle in Death Valley at night.
LSU has a great offensive line which has dominated in the passing game the past 3 years. The rushing game was Jayden Daniels the past two years. Run blocking is not this O Line strong point.
spot on
6:54 that was 10/10 immunity joke, Josh 🤣🤣🤣
Heck yeah keep swinging!!
GEAUX TIGERS 💜💛
Was an incredible game to be at. Death Valley was intense - and caused a difference. Gave up no sacks to a great D-line, and sacked Dart 6 times. Proud to be a 🐅
LSU has a fiendish gauntlet to run for the rest of its schedule and if they win all of these games they will probably be in the national championship game.
In any other year (outside of 2007), I'd call you crazy.
But we're halfway through the season, and there are still about 50 teams in contention for a playoff spot.
If LSU goes 5-1 to finish the season, they're in. And it wouldn't even matter who we lost to.
@@liamk1977 I totally agree with you on this point. And your statement is spot on, as well. I live in a small town in North central Texas, but grew up in Baton Rouge, and moved to Texas in March of 2016. So, I am and will always be a Tigers fan until I die. Plus my older brother, who lives in this small town, is an L.S.U. alumnus, Class of '74, so he is the same as me. We grew up about a mile from the L.S.U. campus, so you could literally hear the crowd, in Tiger stadium, on Saturday nights and feel the ground shake, as well. It was always an exciting experience for both of us, and still is. Geaux Tigers!
Georgia has a tough one too, with road games at Texas and Ole Miss.
50 teams? name 50 teams in conention for a playoff spot, nevermind, name 20 teams ?
@detectif1061
Okay. In the FBS, there are 37 teams remaining with either 0 or 1 loss. So which of those teams, if they win out, will not be in contention for a playoff spot? I'll spot you Sam Houston State, North Texas, and ULM. Which leaves 34 teams. There are also 15 2-loss P5 teams, all with a shot at an at-large bid and a few with an outside shot at winning their conference.
So I said 50, but when I actually did the math, it was only 49.
Apologies all around.
Saturdays in the SEC are just plain exciting this year. With few exceptions, almost every game could go either way. I have trouble thinking of a past year that was like this.
I know Nuss is no JD but man he needs to tuck the ball and run it every now and then. There are times where he'll have a complete open field in front of him and he'll try to get the pass off in double coverage or throw it out of bounds.
The by week hurt Garrett resulting in a 43.1 % completion rate, his worst outing since being named the starter. He was able to persevere and get the win, that’s part of being a champion.
Gutsy Performance by Nuss. Ole Miss has a very good Defense. Some of the struggles are
Due to a solid opponent
I thought honestly what hurt him was the the game plan and offensive play calls. From what I saw, and I obviously could be wrong but it’s what I saw, the majority of pass plays were verticals with no much of anything underneath. Which left Nuss no real choice of doing anything other than throwing the ball deep. Notice when they were moving the ball it was crossing routes, comeback routes etc. the last 2 being offensive plays being the outliers.
I hope we turn the page and go win in Fayetteville💯
We gonna be rocking in Fayetteville next Saturday night 🐗🐗🐗🐗🐗🦾🦾🦾🦾
To not mention the atmosphere and level of noise in Death Valley is a disservice to a game recap. Also if USC vs Penn is 5 out of 5 so is this game
Congrats. You beat a team that will probably finish 4-4 in the SEC this year…
@James-xg5rh thanks James. It really means a lot that you’d say that
@@James-xg5rhSsshh, the adults are talking…
I was at the game and it was lit literally. Those wristbands made the experience even better
Only 2 cupcakes on the entire schedule, and they already played them both. Hardest schedule in the conference EVERY year and never get credit for it.
Ole Miss def should've won but Blake baker is an insane DC
At this point, can we re-name this rivalry “The Field Rush Bowl” ?
I have been to Grant's tomb....but rushing for 107 on the tigers was not listed in his accolades.
I picked Ole Mess: on paper, they were a good and bought team. Then there was LSU's defense...
Excited to take on LSU in Fayetteville this week. It's always a good game. Go hogs
The running back there mentioning played hurt this game and was limited they had a legitimate beef dude is a beast when he doesn't have two dislocated toes
I like the moxie of LSU. throwing to the end-zone instead of going for first. The two point conversion to win the game against Alabama during Kelly’s first year. That, folks, is Moxie.
A pair of big ol brass ones
Lost the 1st game of season in typical LSU under BK fashion, but since then 5-0. Defense getting better each week even with injuries. Offense still highly capable to score with the best of them.
Note that the LSU D was without Harold Perkins. They are young and improving. They’ll stumble again; maybe this week. But the improved coaching is already showing up
Survive and advance... LSU did that for another week.
Haven’t seen much about this but I felt the officiating crew was standout this game. Pretty much every call they got wrong on the field was corrected. Of course some go missed every game but as an LSU fan the calls that went against us either could’ve gone either way or were pretty obviously the right call. After that SCAR game I feel these guys should get credit when they do good as much grief as they get when they do bad.
Ole Miss choked that game away with bad coaching
nah they got outplayed and outworked, as well as outcoached, outhustled, etc.
I picked them too lol 😂it’s tuff to win in Death Valley at night
I’m an lsu fan been watching since before the 2019 season I think. And I can tell you pate always thinks highly of lsu
Guss be scaring me 🤣 keep swinging boyz! 🐯
LSU defense is playing better now that they aren't trying to force Harold Perkins into a linebacker role he's not well-suited for...Swinson and Weeks are everywhere and really saving our inexperienced DBs.
If the Nuss bus follows the LSU QB trend and we get final drive Nuss or better for the entirety of next season then I’m predicting a 3rd LSU heisman qb in the near future and maybe a national championship if the defense and offense also improves.
Took your pick preciate the money 💯💯💯
I'm very concerned about the trip to Arkansas. We never play well there and coming off a hard fought, emotional win, you are due a let down. These next two weeks are going to be rough. Coming out of the bye... I like the final stretch.
Hog fan here. Don’t let last weeks win fool you. Every year we suck except for a couple games. Don’t get me wrong. I think we’re a good team to a point. But we’re just not consistent with wins. This game is winnable for us sure. But I still wouldn’t put money on it. I’m going with 31-28 lsu
@@2xxNorMacKxx2 we will have to fight to earn it. You guys always give us your best. I am certainly pulling for you to beat Texas for sure!
All the BK haters can shut up and go away now. The guy who told me he'd rather have Kiffin...no. We're building something good.
I appreciate your opinion on LSU.
Either take points and rely on your defense or don’t.
Field goal on 4th and goal at the 2 wins the game.
#1 receiver in the nation drops a TD pass right out the gate that sets the tone.
Miss a FG.
Lost this game 100 ways prior to overtime.
Good take. Love the content. Still salty how that one played out.
This one hurt bad, we were the better team and just didn’t execute. Need to win out now
don’t forget right before halftime. 17-10. lsu has ZERO TIMEOUTS! AND WE FUMBLE THE BALL TO GIVE THEM 3 BEFORE HALF!!! should’ve blown out LSU and it’s so heartbreaking because the playoff is gone now. unbelievable
Pate is a wizard. That’s why I hate it when he says we are gonna lose
pate hates lsu, he is probably a closet bama fan, and a bandwagon georgia fan, mixed with a little ohio state in there somewhere.
LSU fans so salty we didn’t have this defense last year
aint nobody salty
Old Miss Head coach has the florida job on his mind, but that's fine he'll lose there as well
If LSU beats Arkansas, that game vs A&M will be great
*When
When LSU beats Arkansas
@1:59 Ulysses Grant ran for all those yards?? From the grave!!
Excellent takes from start to finish, Josh. GEAUX TIGERS !!!!
It's a mark of quarterback greatness to win out despite having a bad night.
That loud stadium kept the team lit tigers def has a great fan base 🐅🐅🐅 go tigers 😁😁😁😁😁🫡
LSU is finding ways to win. That's all that matters.
What baker has done with Penn and Weeks and people with swinson and jones 2 totally different edge rushers. Bo Davis down his top 2 guys on the inside m. Secondary is leaky but the front 7 is legit and it’s because of coaching
Two losses where we really, really should have won. Stars in their courses...
I’ll clap too! 👏🏻👏🏻
LSU stormed the field for for a top 13 matchup with Ole Miss.. I don’t think they get it. Just want to do it bc they see other schools do it.
you just aint a real football fan, you’ve prolly never felt the joy of your team being a champion, it’s more than just football in the south.
I think Ole Miss deserved more time under the gun than my Bama. {buzzzzzz}
I think the biggest reason behind LSU’s success is their d line. I also think that ole miss o line played awful in this game. Credit to LSU but man ole miss oline steeeeruggled in this game.
D, played a big role, a lot of stops
I love you're show. geaux tigers
Let's Geaux Tigers 🐅
never seen one guy not like Ole Miss like he does lol
Nah, there are a whole bunch of others. It’s not Ole Miss we hate, it’s Lane.
@@joeyoungmighty makes sense ha
Who, Lane? Yeah he leaving on that midnight train to Gainesville.
deserved
Geaux Tigers!!!
Plus they have there number 2 and number 3 wr's was out
Pate is going to throw out his shoulder one of these days patting himself on the back for being mediocre
Tigers keep swingin
Geaux Tigers !
Blatant holding in the end zone🤦🏽
I could of swore you picked LSU to lose
Why do you hate LSU, cher?
he’s a closet yankee
GEAUX TIGERS
Lol glad your team won but they were outplayed. OM defense was GREAT and I look forward to future LSU losses
Well, obviously you didn’t watch the same game that I did. OM had how many sacks? Our QB was not good…. until he put 376 yards on arguably one of the top defenses on paper. Take a look at the number of times that each team scored within the red zone, that tells a story about both teams. LSU simply made the plays that they had to make to stay within striking distance and performed very well from the end of the 4th quarter to the final score. Bottom line is LSU won the game. Game ball to Oline and the entire defense. Geaux Tigers!
The ref beat Ole miss
Geaux Tigers!!!
