I actually got the Java game, it was pretty fun but nothing special. All I can say is that only the sprite and the mission screen were stolen. I think the level graphics and Santa are either custom made or taken from another LEGO game, I do like the idea of different music playing whenever you start a stage. It would've been better if they tried porting the whole mobile game on the Mega Drive.
I like how the Russian packaging has a USK rating rip-off on the back. You know, the organisation responsible for video game ratings... in Germany. To be fair, the normal Mega Drive (AKA Genesis) controller only has three buttons so that's just one wasted button as opposed to four. It's still not great though. Even with a three button controller, they could have put in the grapple and slide by mapping grapple to the unused face button and slide to duck + attack. What a wasted opportunity.

Seeing the Retron 5 on here was pretty bitter sweet for me. I was super excited to get it, but the I realized it had a ton of flaws. Not only that, I had paid the full $300 or whatever they were asking and then like a week later, a bunch of Trader Joes or something was getting rid of inventory and were selling them for like $50 each. I honestly feel like for the amount of money they were asking, they could have given us a better quality system. All of the slots besides the NES one were so tight, I was constantly worried they were going to damage my cartridges. It actually DID ruin my Sonic 2 cartridge. The controllers, while super cool are also terrible for anything that requires any amount of dexterity. It was great for RPGs though. Usually.. Then there was the whole, stolen software used on their system thing. I honestly feel like most of the time, when something like this gets released, it's not by gamers, for gamers, it's by people trying to take advantage of a weird niche market and fucking gamers over. In the long run, people are better off with the OG hardware. I gots a tube TV and everything for it.

most of the newer genesis bootlegs are made by a company called "felix the cat team" or "felix the het team". other games made by them include felix the cat, darkwing duck, mario 3: a space odyssey, mario 4: around the world (also known as mario 4: around the counsel), and steven universe. they all use the same continue music which is the title music from the homebrew game uwal: quest for money.
There's a Ben 10 game as well made by them Believe it or not the continue screen shows a bloody beat up Ben while the game over screen shows Ben's literal grave
Batman never kills. He sends his enemies to another dimension, where they're o.k. I can tell you because I see their parachutes.
