This is my first ever video talking to the camera about accessories. I wanted to share what I always take with me to make my kayaking trips enjoyable & comfortable. I did press the "paid promotion" button as Oru gifted me some items after seeing my videos. I was not paid but did receive items of value which I wanted to share with you. Oru did not pay me or ask me to review these items (which I received about one month ago) but since it was a wet weather day, I wanted to share my thoughts & experiences with all the items that I now use in my kayak. I hope this video might be helpful to someone! 😀

I sprung on an Oru earlier this year. It's been sitting in my garage since February but I've finally got time and some nice weather to take it out tomorrow. Haven't kayaked since I was a kid, but excited to get back out on the water and introduce the experience to my little ones.
Great to see how much you enjoy kayaking and that Oru sent you some swag as a thank you gift! Hope you keep having fun adventures for many years to come!

You'll have so much fun getting back out on the water with your new kayak!! The Oru is so much fun! We've had really bad weather for 2 weeks straight (and it's winter here) but I'm waiting for a nice sunny day to get back out there for a paddle! 😀 My videos are mostly about places I go so I hope you see a few of those (they are way more enjoyable than this one! ... well.... I think so anyway 😀 Thanks for watching & subscribing!! I really appreciate it & have fun in your new kayak!!

I just found your channel - it’s great! I bought an Oru Inlet about two months ago, and I love it.

Awesome!! Orus are fabulous aren't they! So versatile and easy to take anywhere. I haven't posted on this channel for a while but it's winter here & I've been putting my energy into our other main channel. Will get back out there again soon making more videos so hope you'll stick around 😀

Let us know how the backpack goes, I’ve been considering getting one of these!

It was easy to fit the kayak inside. As I remember, I think you have a different kayak to me so there's a different backpack that would fit yours. But... once I got it into the bag, it was pretty easy & light to carry on my back (and I'm quite a little person!). The bag feels really well made. Not really sure I'd trust the bag in plane cargo as the corners are not padded so if someone throws the bag, the only real padding is where the backpack straps are. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to trying it out but I think I'm still going to have to wait until Spring to get to Lake Elizabeth! 😀

My wife and I each have an Inlet and have been enjoying them. I consider the backpack essential to carry the boats down to the water for a paddle. About 1/4 miles each way and just the strap was not comfortable at all. The gel seat makes a longer trip tolerable. We use the air bags front and back as you do. We have used many kayaks but as we get older and travel with our Prius these allow us to keep bringing our kayaks with us and not have to lift them onto the car roof.

Thanks so much for commenting! (sorry for the delay in replying!!) I agree about the backpack now! It's been really handy to transport in the car (we recently bought a 4x4 and I even use the straps from the bag to hold it down in the back). It's been great to walk the kayak down to the water & I agree that it's far better than a shoulder strap. Great bag!! 😀 So glad you're enjoying your Inlets!
