5 years later and I'm still coming back to this video. Everything from the memories the song brings, the emotion in the different sections and the awe inspiring talent of Animenz. This is and probably always will be my favourite piano song/cover/video... ever.
Did anyone realized that in this song, all of the first type of special-type destroyer of Fubuki class is included? Start from 磯波 (Isonami), 叢雲 (Murakumo), 吹雪 (Fubuki), 白雪 (Shirayuki), 初雪 (Hatsuyuki) and 深雪 (Miyuki)? The writer must put a lot of though to include all those name.
+ArnoldleZolid Marasy is good at arranging songs into piano pieces, Animez has really good playing skill. They both are very tallented in different ways, imo :)
FR0ZENxTUNA I think Animenz has a better technic, he really translate songs as if they were made for piano, Marasy translate more directly but he has an amazing accuracy and speed ^^ I love them both too, and let's not forget Ishter~kun :)
That natural B at 0:20 had me confused, until that crazy transition :o That 3 note chromatic motif you keep on repeating is also super catchy! 1:55 sounded incredible like the NGNL OP too... Almost knocked over Kongou at the end :(
The high "g" note was played three times in this arrangement, and everytime I was praying for not knocking over the Kongou figure, since it was borrowed by a friend. (plus, Kongou is even his waifu, lol)

every time you play, I forget that it not just "a machine"/"Recording". I forget that it's actually you who's playing the whole time. I'm jealous that you can play so AMAIZINGLY AWESOME like that... I wish I could play the piano like you. But, I really do enjoy your covers. I can always sit down and relax listening to your covers while I read a book/Manga.

You are god like pianist and transcriber, not just techinically but you also add so much emotion in your preformances and arragements... I get astonished everytime I see and listen to your videos, Im a really big fan of you and I really appreciate that there is a person who takes transcriptions (from ANIME! ^^) to the next level!
Rewatched Kancolle during a long road trip this weekend, and I had totally forgotten about this song and this masterpiece of a cover. Absolutely beautiful.
Marassy's left hand pattern still give a lot of effects both OP and ED are great imo and I need to say that the ED is quite refreshing (seems like this song is her first time) the girls are so fucking awesome *+* I wonder if the next one will be some songs from bravely default 8D Edea has so much waifu points and the combo with ringabel is so fucking cute and hilarous lol

Wow it's so wonderful to see all of the best Anime pianists cover Kantai collections songs! Even more wonderful to see them cover the same song with their own unique spin! Interesting note: Marasy8 did the unboxing of the exact same figure and premiered his version of Fubuki in the same video! Can't wait till he officially records his version and we'll have two great versions of the same song :) Both Animenz and Marasy8 covered "Namae no nai kaibutsu" in their own way and there were entirely different but equally amazing.....It's so interesting to see how much you can add to the song by making your own transcriptions. Hello Animenz! I have been taking piano lessons for a few years, but only began taking them seriously about 2 years ago as before I didn't realize truly how amazing could be. While I've obviously made some progress, I can't help feeling that I don't know what to really do. If possible, could you please tell me how you learned piano at first. What are the core, most important elements to be able to play piano very well? What theory is the most important to study? What should I practice? I hope to become better at piano someday (obviously not at your level, that's just a dream, but definitely better than where I am now), so I would really appreciate it if you could please take some time and let me know what I can do! Thank you! I love your music, and have probably listened to the tokyo ghoul theme by you at least 50 times now XD. Hope you see this comment!
Kantai Collection is all about the characters, so don't expect much in the way of story. I highly recommend watching it though, if cute personifications of WW2 warships duking it out with sea monsters is something that interests you.
***** This kind of games became very rare nowadays. Definitely worth buying a 3DS for it. I think this generation will be Wii U's one, though, since Xbox One and PS4 "exclusivities" suck compared to Wii U's ones.
