500.000 subscribers, thank you everyone! To celebrate this special milestone, I decided to make a piano arrangement of one of my favorite songs: Sayonara Memories!
It's the 12th track from Supercell's second studio Album, "Today is a beautiful day" and one of my favorite J-pop songs of all time. I am a big admirer of Ryo - supercell's composer - because his ability to create timeless melodies is almost unmatched by any other J-pop artists. Yanagi Nagi's heavenly voice also contributes a lot to bring out the best of Ryo's compositions.
This piano arrangement is one of the most advanced arrangement I ever made, both technically demanding and musically interesting. It features many polyphonic passages, virtuosic right hand movements and an exciting "original" finale at the end - a culmination of all my arrangements in the past 5 years on TH-cam. It's the very definition of "Animenz style" and one of my best arrangement I've ever done so far.
Therefore, I want to thank everybody who were supporting me in the past 5 years, because without them, Animenz wouldn't be the same today.

Animenz! Holy shit, it seems like every couple of months you get subscriber special videos lolol. Well in any case, I really think this is something to be celebrated, the fact that anime piano became something this amazing, and to have so much attention, that your channel has grown to half a million subscribers.
I don't know if this will last forever, but I hope it does for a long time. Let's make the anime piano community bigger! Congrats for your 500,000 subscribers Animenz, I will say: 100% well deserved. I can feel all the care you put into every note, and that is inspiring.

my brother played this song in the car since i was a child its really been a long time. this arrangement brought me to the edge of tears
see kids, this is why you study classical music. Because then you can do stuff like this. I'm convinced the reason why Animenz is the number 1 anime cover person on the internet is because of his knowledge of classical music. He employs so many different techniques to produce a variety of different sounds. Scales, arpeggios, billions of chords, varying dynamics between individual fingers, it's all there.

+Gian Reyes. It's called Sayonara Memorizu by Ryo. Look up Supercell video. It is my favourite song and I also have the piano piece for it. It's about a girl who had a crush i high school and used to get out of her way to walk with her crush home never revealing how much she loved him. Until the end. it is a reflection of Ryo's childhood. Also search for Supercell - Hero. Again teenage crushes. Supercell is a really a studio band with animators and would be prominent in the anime sound scene.

This song has been one of my most favorite songs that I haven't seen in an anime and supercell just did a great job with this one. I am real glad you're back and uploading on youtube, but I cannot wait to go to your concerts in the future if you ever decide to hold them in America.

Having a not so great feeling day so this is fantastic! One of my favourites! Nagi Yanagi is fantastic.
The gain in 100,000 subs in the past months sure seems quite quick, but thats normal given your continuous hard work towards your Piano passion. Congratulations on hitting half a million subs! The Chopin-like parts (Sonata No. 3, maybe?) and the polyphony give the song its lyricism while the exploding chords give it a rock concert atmosphere. With this compelling cover, I'm more determined to continue my transcription activity. By the way, It's nice to have you back.
