So im curious, I thaught the ZD30 were prone to failure, how did you get it to be reliable? I really like these Nissan's but have been scared off of the 3L from all of the bad reports, how do I know a good one from a bad one?
it was only a few year models that were the grenade im pretty sure but could be wrong it was 05 through 07 and maybe a year either side. but basically after 09 they were bullet proof. just run hot which when people dont pay attention can cause issues.
What are the average egt’s achieved ? Is this suitable for common rail or direct injection or both ? Do you swap or change the factory boost solenoid ? What boost are you running in the stock internals ?
That particular package isn't no idea if Horsepower factory does it but 150kw is definitely possible from a DI with similar mods plus upgraded injectors.
Have the last of these, Feb 2016 build. I always knew they were underpowered, but from the he outset I had a Beaudesert exhaust fitted, driving from Bathurst NSW to Beaudesert Qld I was able to determine the truck had far less turbo lag but I'm after more power. I'll be intouch to get a guide what you feel you can achieve for my Patrol. Thanks for video guys.
Not this exact set up but I have the same exact car but manual has been tuned since 230k now has just under 300 running 21psi stock turbo with supporting mods at 175hp and 470nm been reliable as runs great!!!!

If you just want a fast(er), more torque daily driver and occasional tow, do you need a clutch (HPC) upgrade to cope with the extra power/torque?
a heavy duty clutch won’t hurt depending on power
