Kevin is DEEPLY Christian - so don't overthink. He holds Bible Study classes for the staff when they are on tour. HE is a truly good man - and he and his wife are expecting their second child, a little boy.
TX for this. O they are something else!! So versatile. Love them. To me the sign from Kevin screams " yes, we are having a great time ". Greetings from South Africa
When PTX did the cover OMG, Kevin voiced his inability to use God's name this way. PTX rewrote the words to Oh My Gosh. It's just a plain old OK sign because you've been KO'd by him!
Thanks for the creaction. Kevin.'s baby boy was safely delivered last week. He n his wife have named him Christian Olusola. Matt's baby girl will arrive early July.
Kevin might be doing this and meaning something else. I can’t think of a more religious man than Kevin. He is always thanking God and he has a Christian podcast. He doesn’t perform on the Sabbath, which for him, I believe, is Friday evening and most of Saturday. Pentatonix works their schedule around this. Also, Kevin is a big reason why their music is PG. Liked your reaction. Recommend their new version of O Holy Night.
That's Kevin, lol. It's an OK sign. He's the least subversive human on the planet. All positive, all wholesome, all the time, that's Kevin Olusola. I love this cover. Is it my favorite vocal performance from PTX ever? No, but it's a vocal performance by PTX and I don't think I'd give them less than a ten, for anything other than maybe a couple of their 2011 Sing Off performances, and even those get not less than an 8 from me. This one is so fun! I especially love Avi's part and Scott doing the trumpet part.
Sorry, but you are 100% wrong about Kevin. He is very religious and observes the Sabbath, so PTX never performs or expects him at any event or interview. Look at their tour schedules. It was a big concern for Kevin about joining a band that tours in the beginning, but Scott assured him that it would never be a problem. They all love and respect each other from day 1. This song was adapted for PTX with the opening scene in a church for Kevin, the outdoor and mountain top represented Avi's love of nature. Kirstin has a line about Broadway because she was in "Kinky Boots " and Mitch's line about "Texas raised ya" is because Scott, Mitch, and Kirstin grew up in Arlington, Texas USA. If you don't know, Mitch met Scott when they were 10 years old doing the play "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and have been best friends ever since. Mitch met Kirstin around age 8, though they didn't hang out together. They were Community Arts Theater kids and their parents had to drive them around town so they all know each other well. Kirstin's Mom was hesitant about her girl, but knew Scott and Mitch would always be there.
Oh wow, trust the Pentaholics when they say Kevin was giving The OK sign and nothing about the devil. As others have noted, PTX does not schedule concerts on Friday night ( I believe he is a 7th Day Adventist) to honor his belief in not working on the Sabbath) This is a fun song. Great reaction ❤❤❤❤❤
@@perfectkismet Thank you for saying that!! It always drives me nuts when people assume that, but those broadway lyrics are in the original song, and yes, WAY before she was on Broadway!! This is one of my very favorite PTX songs.
10 for me. 666 sign?? Kevin?? Absolutely not. He’s an extremely spiritual and humble Jesus follower. He’s giving an OK sign because he was emphasizing what Mitch was saying about the cool places that they were going to visit in their tour.
OK sign...over the eye tho bro? Not too many coincidences out there, seems deliberate. Not saying KO knew what he was doing but there's spiritual forces at work in the music industry.
I was SO glad when you upgraded it from 9.5 to 10/10 because this is one of my very favorite PTX songs!

Doesn't he also have a Christian podcast?
I think maybe Kevin’s son was born in May. Just an fyi.

Remember... PTX doesn't do covers... They do upgrades!!!

This was years before Kirstin was in Kinky Boots.
