"Coffee in Bed" Kevin's beat boxing runs that song.
Kevin actually came up with this mashup as a solo project (maybe part of why beatboxing is so intense 😉) and then Scott heard it and asked if Pentatonix could do it.
Kirstin usually goes by her nickname, Kirstie, "rhymes with thirsty".
PTX doesn't do covers... They do upgrades!
Matt's bass is based on the bass from Aaliya's "Are You That Somebody" particularly Timbaland's intro to it. The trio are singing Dua Lipa's "New Rules" over that. And Kevin is just doing what he does. I've been following Pentatonix since they competed on The Sing Off and over the years have become increasingly convinced that Kevin's creative percussion is a huge part of their success.

This one is so brilliant! I appreciated the bb lesson and explanation. For another excellent Kevin/Matt performance, you should react to their original Coffee in Bed. For more Kevin (and Mitch) insanity, their original Love Again is a must-listen.
I think he reacted to Love Again, but Coffee In Bed is a great one for Kevin's beatboxing.

Great reaction. I like the insight you give on Kevin's beatboxing. If you are impressed with Kevin's beatboxing in this one I think you will appreciate their original song Coffee In Bed. The beatboxing is layered, but still very impressive IMO.☺

You should check out Coffee in Bed if you want a great beat from Kevin. And for a lot of variety, the Evolution of Beyoncé is not to be missed. I’ve wanted a beat boxer to explain both of those songs to me.
They filmed this in New York City when Kirstie (thirsty) was playing the female lead on Broadway in Kinky Boots. Recommend their cover of Shallow.

Please it's not KRIsten - that really irritates her as so many people get it wrong, it's KIRstin or Kirstie, not Kristen, or Kristie. Great reaction though. It's interesting to hear it analysed by a beatboxer.
