I have the game and do love it. When you start a song, hit the action button to choose between a large selection. Do not cash out by hitting the scoop until Applause jackpot is ready. You should also lock balls and collect patches for your jacket before starting the song.

....Also when loaded up with ball locks etc. ,try the song: Live and let die. Play it LOUD. The lightshow with the music is superb.

First time I react to one of your videos but this time I HAVE to. You are both wrong. First of all, don’t judge a pinball machine if you don’t know the rules, especially if the rules are this simple: collect the 7 band members (7 shots) => start the song => finish the song. Don’t collect the jackpot until the end of the song. It is a GOOD thing that the music doesn’t just play at the beginning. The music is not some background tunes. The music is a concert video with spectacular lighting. If you are NOT playing a concert, you DON’T get the music. This is good. I don’t want to hear Axl sing every second of every game. In regular play you hear toned down versions of the songs, without Axl. THAT is the background music/noise. This machine is by far the most popular with visitors at my home (which includes Godzilla and Elvira!). Learn how to collect band members, learn how the song mechanic works, and then try to get to the end of the song and get the applause jackpot. THEN decide whether you like the game or not. Regarding the multiball heavy bit: this is also well designed. Multiballs are not the major “thing” in this game. There are 4 multiballs, which are easy to learn and easy to start, so learn where they are. Multiballs are not about earning jackpots or high scores. They are about collecting band members quicker and boosting the song value. You want to get to the next song quicker (because that’s what the game is all about) and multiballs help to get there sooner. They are secondary to the songs. The songs are what this game is all about. Don’t dismiss a pinball machine because the rules are different than “regular” games. This game is MUCH more than just some light show. It is severely underrated. People who don’t like it, mostly don’t understand the rules, they expect the same old pinball rules (lock balls, start multiball, score jackpot) and cannot look beyond that. Check out IE pinball’s video’s on GnR. This is one of the rare games where he gets emotional about scoring or losing huge jackpots. This is a high risk, high reward game.

Well written. With the new code, I can add that the: Break down the wall, Desert race, paparazzi fight and Slash solo also gives you points that has meaning. Earlier, the scoring was so low. It was better to just let it time out. Now it can be huge scoring.

I go back a few decades with pinball and I just can't see the fun gameplay with this one. Really like the band the artwork the lightshow and the quality of JJP games. It will be interesting to see the sales of Pulp Fiction. It's more fun for much less money imo.
