I've noticed in the videos the sons and daughters call their parents by their first name. Is this common in other cultures, I know in this US most of call our parents Mom and Dad no matter how old we get. I was bought calling your parents by your first name was disrespectful. The only parent we would call by their first name was a stepparent. Not necessarily to be disrespectful, but because sometimes stepchildren don't feel especially close to a stepparent or because they don't want to disrespect their birth parent by calling them Mom or Dad.
