What do you wear on your feet when wet wading? Been wearing my regular wading boots because I like to protect my feet and especially my ankles which always get banged up. But they’re kind of clunky. Any suggestions?
I used to wear wet wading shoes and have tried sandals but now i mostly just wear my Orvis Ultralight with socks and thin neoprene boot. Works good and protects feet
Did most of the trout take your dry, or were some taking the nymph below it? I love that type of stream and find that in NH I catch them about 2/3 on the dry, 1/3 on the nymph.
What is your ratio of scouting to fishing? 4 hours of scouting to 1 hour of fishing? Just curious. i think it takes tremendous discipline to scout versus fish. i want to find some brook trout streams...
Wow what beautiful scenery and the trout were so nice, thanks for taking us along. Tight Lines!
Any time, you are welcome!
I'm a blueliner, I love fishing the bluelines, looks like you found a nice getaway with this stream. Enjoyed watching. 👍

Honestly I tend to opportunistically scout like if Im in a new area but don't have lots of time I might fish a bit or use my spinning rod.
Any wait to go brookie fishing my self
